  • Need technical help, clarification of recovery BIOS HP Elitebook turn 810 G1

    So I'm looking to buy a used HP Elitebook turn G1 810, works very well, but the BIOS was locked so it can't be tinkered with as it was a demo produced a password locked client. I read in the support page for the device, the preboot UEFA guidelines technical white paper, to launch the BIOS recovery Partition you should press and hold on all the arrow keys and press the power button. But as this seemed to be a widespread solution for "Netbooks" I was wondering if it would work. The only other solution is to Flash the BIOS, which I assume is the EEPROM chip, and I have no experience. Will it work and what are my options if it won't? I can take it to an HP service center?

    I would get the shop call hp while you there & see if they can provide a master password as otherwise it great pain & requires on-line expertise of writing of the bios chip or get replaced chip.

    The probooks EliteBook is a pain right when the lost bios password & for sure the store/seller is aware of this as so easy they would sort it before sale ;-)

    to be honest I wouldn't touch a demo because most serious uptime & make you near destruction sometimes.

    By new & only machines with minimum 2 years parts-work guarantee full 1 year warranty is without value & hp now he...

  • Tablet turns on but the blue screen

    I have an Acer Iconia tab 8W-810 running Windows 10 and now when I turn it on, I get a blue screen with points of spinning:

    Last night, I downloaded a torrent.  I have Malwarebytes and today ran a Superantispyware which found 4 things to eliminate.

    Today, I made a change to email how I can see in outlook, turn it off and then when she came back I could not work in tablet mode or do switch between screens.  Then, I turn it off again and then when I try to turn it on again I get the blue screen with spinning points.

    Is this a virus?  Is this a windows 10 problem?  I'm puzzled.  Is my only option to factory reset?  I pressed power and volume, and just get a screen that shows the info about my tablet, that it is not reset?

    Help... Please.

    Microsoft has released an another big update Tuesday. It may just be set up and take his time. Let it run in a few hours juggling balls mode, if necessary, and it should complete the update and get back your normal desktop computer.

  • Compatibility of HP pen turning 810

    I am a teacher in Baltimore and recently received a 810 turn HP in a tech initiative. However, the County does not the pen supplied with the appliance. I want a pen with a pen point size... like the Wacom Bamboo Stylus feeltip.

    Do you know precisely if the stylus is compatible with the 810 revolution or is there a better option out there for less than $40?

    Your 810 turn has a capacitive multitouch screen that is compatible with several spare pens; you will find a good selection at most office supply & superstores (Staples, Target, Wal-Mart) and the site of HP Home Shopping. You will find many reliable and sustainable models for $20 or less - 'better' or the best choice is up to you to decide. If you are stuck on getting a Wacom stylus, their website lists compatibility stylus with many models of touch screen...

  • Elitbook revolution 810 G2: unable to boot from USB Elitbook turn 810 G2

    Initially, I bought 810 rotate with 8.1 Pro window.

    I've recently upgraded to 64-bit Pro 10 Windows.

    The problem is that I can not boot from USB. Computer recognizes the USB drive but when I click F9 and enter in bootmode... He acknowledges as "drive hard usb ' but when I select it... it has no effect and does not start.

    Could someone help me solve the problem? I need to be able to boot from USB drive...

    Windows 10 64-bit with UEFI can only boot from a GPT partition. It may be that your boot USB drive is partitioned as MBR [Master Boot Record] and should be partitioned GPT [Table of Partition GUID] for UEFI.

    I have a Tablet turn 810 that worked perfectly, but recently, I used the softpaq Download Manager and updated all of the hp software to the latest available versions. I also updated the bios with the latest version (Canada.47 I think). However, now I have the following problems:

    -> the screen turns is more

    -> on-screen keyboard appears more (e.g. during the display of connection, or research)

    -> Search appears automatically when you type something on the keyboard.

    I suspect that the problems are related to the update of the Bios, how to find a previous version of the bios? Or y at - it a backup made automatically when the update of the bios? If yes where?

    I have an Acer Iconia Tablet A1-810. And now, it will go past start screen. The reason why. Is the cause I let some teenagers play on it, and every time I got it home would not work.     I think that Acer may only be fixed, please contact your regional Acer support service.

  • Revolve 810 G2 Executive pen does not work

    Revolve 810 G2 / Windows 8.1, all updates (Microsoft and HP) are carried out.

    Pen is not recognized. I can't find any driver associated with feather on the HP page turning G2.

  • Revolve 810 G1 keyboard characters when you type

    Hi all

    Just got a new HP turn 810 G1 tablet / laptop (12 GB memory 256 GB SDD). Otherwise, things are smooth, but it is extremely annoying problem of keyboard abandonment / jump / lose some of the characters when entering. It is not random, specific keys or combos. So far in this post, he jumped about 10 characters. It does not require typing fast, even in the start menu Win 8, when you search for an app and then hit enter to start the application, it could not react on the press of entry. It is just an example, letters are missing from any where as I type. I type pretty fast and know I'm hitting the right keys. Disable the touchpad does not help, it's not that I would accidentally touch it as you type.

    I've updated the BIOS, restored the OS to factory State (full restore HP), go to the English localization of OS, installed all the updates of Windows - no help.

    This makes work a pain, it is not possible to cat or document type when you need to go back and correct the errors that you have not done all the time.

    HP Support Assistant is not find more updates, number of product H5F12EA #AK8, WIn 8 Pro 64-bit. I installed a 8GB SODIMM under the back cover, included 4GB chip replacement. Will run a memtest overnight.

    Nothing doesn't I could do thorough tests (including memory) HW run, tests the user added 8 GB SODIMM removed, SIM card removed, removed battery (switch required), full restoration of BONE made a couple of times (END / ENG locations), HP Support Assistant Windows Update patches applied, another keyboard + touchpad drivers of the repository product drivers downloaded and installed, the settings keyboard and touch twisted and applied a pious hope of heap.

    Called HP and at least one portable old of the week will now be replaced by a new. A few more lost days, I hope it'll work at least!

  • EliteBook 840 G2 - driver problem

    I am struggling to find the drivers below.  I think I downloaded all the drivers available for Windows 7-32 bit of the system, and it is not the problem.

  • HP 10 G2: Time to recharge the Tablet

    I have problems charging the tablet. Had the tablet to sleep and charge for more than six hours and only charged at 30%. Tablet turned off power and load for 3-1/2 hours and only achieved 10% extra. How long do these freaking things take to recharge? This is a brand new tablet. There for only four days. Not impressed with the Tablet so far.

    Is the charger plugged directly into a wall outlet, and you use the charger provided with the appliance?

    Have you tried a different outlet?

    You had left the unit to charge for a minimum of 16 hours the first time around? It will load faster when slowed or powered off the coast, but the key is to let it load capacity initially. This allows to calibrate a battery the first time around.

  • Tablet-Stream 7-5709: battery problems and bitlocker guest

    The product number is K4F53UA.

    The problem of the battery does not charge properly and now I'm wondering the bitlocker code whenever I have to turn off the tablet.

    When the Tablet is turned on, Windows is running and it is plugged, the tablet will not load. It never shows the compressed load and after a while, the battery will stop and the Tablet turns off. While it is turned off, plug the Tablet into causes the charge icon will blink. If the battery still has some power left in charge icon lights up for about 10 seconds, turn off for 2 seconds lights up for 10 seconds, turn off for 2 seconds and continue to do this for a while unitl it just stops. If the battery has been emptied before that happens the same thing off the power except for the icon to load time of stay is a fraction of a second.

    I went into the menu diagnostics and completed of the rapid and Extensive tests. Has been correctly executed without error, but not the case in the diagnostics menu it shows battery when it is plugged.

    I tried to put this before, but it does not show on the forum.

    When the Tablet is turned off and you first plug the charger, you should see the pictogram of loading on the screen for 10 seconds and then disappear for the rest of the time the charger is connected.  If you see something different, the Tablet may be damaged if you have checked that the charger and cable are good.

    Others here have noted the pictogram charge flashing and it turned out to be a faulty Tablet unfortunately.
