  I have a new HP Envy 23-d250 PC touchscreen. I noticed one night when I woke in the dark there is a bright white light on the side that flashes periodically. There is a photo of three discs next to the flashing light. I see now that it does all the time. No one knows what it is and if it's supposed to be flashing constantly? If there is something that I don't do that I'm supposed to do, I would like to know about it. Thank you.

  It's a bit of a and Windows 7 doesn't have the same type of tactile support 8.1 and 10 Windows

  As much as I know Windows 7 is NOT officially supported on these models. Only 10 and/or Windows 8.1 (depending on model).

  These machines have been designed with Windows 8.1/10 in mind.

  Even if you buy the Windows DVD, you will need to use in any external way to install it (via external USB or DVD key).

  To conclude, if you don't like Windows 10, you can return to Windows 8.1 for 30 days after the upgrade.

  You can also reset the machine and return to the original operating system factory.

  What is the reason for which you want to downgrade to Windows 7? Problems?  Please, let me know and I can help.

  Hey guys,.

  Today, I noticed that my NumLock blinking constantly. The button works correctly and the operating system (Windows 8.1) is all good also. I'm just a little scared that it is a warning signal.

  Flashed it for a long time even if it seems to have stopped now.

  Even if it stopped, the light is now constantly off. If I press the button when the caps is off (ie. Turn on caps) and then it flashes quickly once I press the down key, then stays off. If I press the button once again, he is off all the time and continues to work like this.

  The problem:

  I use an external monitor, so my laptop is usually closed.  Randomly, my touchscreen think something is in contact with her, which disrupts everything I do.  I would like to completely disable the touch screen, because I do not use it.

  I see you want to disable the touch function in your display for portable computers. I will help you with that.
  
  You can do this by going to Device Manager > click on the + or > by Human Interface Devices > right click on the touch screen to HID-compliant > choose disable. This will have disabled the touch capability.

  Here is a link to your product page that shows me that, unfortunately, your system is 39.6 cm (15.6 ") diagonal HD BrightView - backlight WLED (1366 x 768) not a touch screen.
