I read your thread on your HP ENVY 17 t j000 Notebook and having issues with the software of HP SimplePass.  Thanks for all the information, it is very useful to know what you've already tried. I would say to uninstall HP SimplePass and reinstalled the latest version for Windows 8.1.

  You can try a system restore to a date well known.  Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8)

  If the above did not help, I uninstall and reinstall the software Simplepass.  Using the Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 8)

  Hello. Today I got in trouble with Firefox is slow and crash/freeze whenever I played a Facebook game. He told me to download the flash update I did about 6 times today. He still does not recognize that I have. I looked in my control panel in Flash and I can't see what follows: version Active X 15.0.0.0.152 NPAPI plug in version 15.0.0.152. Record PPAPI version is not installed. (I looked that up and it seems that this is not for my Windows XP. The flash drive, I installed was 15X32_mssd_aaa_aih (i) .exe. This is the manual I have asked me to download on support.mozilla.org... then he gave me a specific plug-in. Even though I knew I got it, I tried to download the plugin. It happens to 66% full download and application in use error (because I already have) and it automatically opens the window of IE to try again. I know very well that I have the most updated version. For some reason any Firefox just don't recognize it. I restarted my computer. Earlier, I have reset Firefox and regave permissions on my plug ins. I had honestly never one fix, I can do. Help please.   Lisa, I'm sorry that I can't find a download link for the old version of Flash Plugin 10.3 that I use, but I can't find it on the Adobe Web site.

  Adobe Shockwave Player 12.1 is not the same thing as Adobe Flash Player Plugin, which is also known as the Shockwave Flash.

  There is also a named Shockwave for the Director which is something else again.

  And with different versions of Flash Player for - IE = ActiveX, Firefox = Plugin and Chrome = pepper, they couldn't do worse if they planned to confuse the average user, because they were able to do so inadvertently.

  I curse Macromedia (which was acquired by Adobe) to use the name "Shockwave" on both of their programs.

  I have been using HP Simple pass Manager 6.0 almost the entire Bill by paying websites. Recently my Firefox browser set to update Firefox 29 to 30 of Firefox. Now my HP Simple pass Manager 6.0 does not work in Firefox 30 in all.

  Downgrade to the version of Firefox prior to Version 30 to allow the HP SimplePass extension to work.

  The instructions are below.

  The downgrade of the browser can disrupt the HP SimplePass database.  In fact roughly about everything upsets the HP SimplePass database.  The smile.
