I understand that you were notified that you need to update. When you tried to update the screen flickered and you received the error code 9U0BTA-7JP879-PXPH7F-60QMO8. When I checked the code, the hard drive failed the short test. This tells us the hard drive is failing. As you have tried a system restore and boot in safe mode without success. The hard drive needs to be replaced. As you are not able to access the drive, if you need try to get data out of it, you can try to install it as a secondary drive or in an external enclosure. This may or may not allow allows you to recover the data. If you decide to replace the hard drive yourself, here is a link to the maintenance and care guide. HP 15 Notebook PC HP 15 laptop TouchSmart PC Compaq 15 PC portable Compaq 15 TouchSmart Notebook PC Maintenance and Service of Guide  Please note Chapter 3, page 19 article 12 for recommended replacements. • Cannot load Disqus comments even in safe mode

Even in Safe Mode with all add-ons disabled, I can't load the Disqus comments on any site. I also tried the activation of third party cookies and pop-up windows and ensured that all my plug-ins are up-to-date. I don't know what else to try.

I get the message "DISQUS seems to take longer than usual. Reload? ». When I reboot, I get the same message after a few seconds. Sometimes comments flashes on the screen for a moment and then disappear.

    It's on Mac OS 10.6.8.

Another user reported this same message. Although we have not learned the cause of the problem in this thread, you can take a look: Firefox 15.0.1 charge not disqus even in safe mode.

Moreover, Firefox 10.0.2 has several publicly disclosed security vulnerabilities. Is there a reason you have not upgraded to 15 Firefox or another intermediate version?

  • Update 40.0.2 is slow, hangs a lot, even in safe mode.

So, I tried several things in the troubleshooting here in support articles, but none solved my problems.

Basically, after that automatically put Firefox updated to 40.0.2, the browser crashes a lot on the opening and closing of tabs, loading Web sites as well. When idle, the CPU/RAM usage is normal, but opening or closing of tabs uses a lot of CPU (most of the time, 100% of the CPU is used in navigation) and it crashes every time. Scroll to the bottom of pages also allows the browser to hang. I tried to deactivate several plugins and extensions and I even tried to use the safe mode, but even in safe mode, it happens constantly. I'll post the specs of my computer (no), but don't forget that those issues didn't happen before the update.

    Core 2 Duo 2.93 GHz
    4 GB OF RAM
    Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit
    GeForce 8400GS

Please, what is anyone has found problems with this new update? What should I do? I use Firefox since 2007 and I love it, I wouldn't move to another.

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problem.

    See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile already used in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting more problems.

Start the computer in safe mode Windows with network support (on the startup screen, press F8) to see if it has an impact.

  • Firefox crashes (even in safe mode) constantly and use 50% CPU while doing

I use Firefox 36.0.1 and Windows XP (32-bit version).

Lately, Firefox made this weird thing where it stops randomly load anything, as if the connection has been broken (it isn't, any other works very well). In this case, Firefox uses 50% CPU, when it is usually revolves around, well, 0%. Restart the browser, or waiting for a few minutes "fixed" the problem temporarily. Same thing in safe mode, too.

I have the feeling that this * might * be related to Flash, since it seems to happen more often when I am watching videos, or stream on the shaking. I tried to disable the plugin-container and update the Adobe Flash Player plugin, with little success. Malwarebytes could not find anything either, and it does not feel like a virus anyway.

Whatever it is, I'm out of options at this point. I had a lot of problems with Firefox for a while now, especially when it comes to videos/animations (I can't play the videos of Vine.co , for example), and it starts to make it difficult for me. I really don't want to switch to Chrome, I don't trust of Google and their browser doesn't have a lot of key functions I like in Firefox (such as the sidebar bookmarks < 3), so I really hope I can get help here.

    Any suggestions?

Chrome is a pain, I tried to go back and difficulty of Firefox (so far), and again, I think I found the problem. I should mention that I tried these 5 suggestions before, btw, and none of them got rid of the problem. Yes, even in safe mode, with a profile is empty, no plugins, no firewall and without tab, it happens again, somehow. And Yes, Chrome will work fine with Firefox running in the background, as I mentioned in my previous post.

What he did for me was turn off Prefetching and IPv6 times in all: config, following the instructions on this this page .

I'm not sure that one did the trick (I kinda afraid to mess with that again, but I could test if you want to, it might be useful to others), but it looks like everything is going well for the moment.

This could be a problem with your graphics display driver.

What graphics card to display that you have?

Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Update of FF, message says to restart to complete the previous update. I reboot with the same message. Tried to uninstall. Same message, even in Safe Mode.

I tried to update Firefox and repeatedly getting this message: "your computer must be restarted to complete a previous update of Firefox. Do you want to restart now? "If I click on no, nothing happens." If I click Yes, it restarts and I get the same message all over again. I tried to uninstall the program and get the same message, even in Safe Mode. I tried to start with a configuration of the previous system, but the computer would not give me the dates of previous configuration. I am running XP, and I deleted Internet Explorer, so I can't access the Internet on this computer. I tried to install the update by downloading the upgrade on another computer and transfer it to a flash drive, but I got the same results. If I go to control panel configuration/Add / Remove Programs, it says I have Firefox Version 13.0.1. For about 6 months before this incident, I get a message when I load Firefox, who said that he could not install an update attempt. If I clicked OK, at least he'd still go the old version. Now, he will do even that.

Hello, the installation of #3 in the initial response folder is referring to the entire directory "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox", not any subfolder or file in particular. If the directory is still present after uninstalling firefox via the windows control panel, and then if it please delete the whole folder "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox" & try reinstalling firefox afterwards.

  • Satellite L300-29U - Vista crashes, even in safe mode

Hi, I really hope there is someone out there who can help me, my laptop does not work (properly) more, and I don't know what is the cause.

    * The short version: *.

Two days ago my computer froze all of a sudden for no apparent reason. It did not (without Ctrl-Alt-Del, etc), I could only move the pointer. Since then, has happened repeatedly, even in safe mode. A potential clue: runs chkdsk c: \r \f results in a blue screen.

    * Details: *.

I have a Satellite L300-29U (about 3.5 years) with Windows Vista.
Two days ago the computer is not responding, after running normally for a few hours. I had not installed a new hardware or software. Even the clock had stopped. Only the pointer could be moved, but clicking on had no effect, or no has Ctrl-Alt-Delete. I stopped him via the power button. It restarted normally, I opened it then Firefox, but shortly after the same problem has emerged.
I selected the Mode without fail to start and then let my antivirus (Avira) program a complete check of the system. The computer froze again after about an hour and 30% in the analysis. (Curiously, the timer showing how much time had passed since the beginning of the analysis was still running, but had stopped the clock of the computer.)
Later, I tried another full analysis and again once it froze. Before that, I ran a few quick scan negative that came.

In general, I find that Windows starts fine, but in normal mode it freezes pretty quickly when I try to do something. In safe mode, it freezes more quickly, but it's still sometimes.

I also tried the "repair your computer" option at startup.
    -System Restore does not help
-Memory Diagnostic is not a problem

Searching online, I found suggestions for select command prompt and try to chkdsk. My conclusions:
-chkdsk c: /f gives no indication of errors. The only thing that might be unusual is the following message at the end (translated from Dutch): "cannot transfer the log to the event log messages. Status 50. »
-chkdsk c: /r /f results in a blue screen, each time to the same point in the process, namely, the 4th stage (verification of the data of the file), after having transformed the 133 634 files. The blue screen that appears shows the following:

    -----
    QUOTE
A problem has been detected and Windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
    (...)
    Technical information: * STOP: 0 x 00008086 (0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
    WORDS
    -----

    * Things I have NOT tried (again): *.

-Execution of TOSHIBA hard drive recovery
    -Formatting the hard drive

Why not try these again is that I still have a glimmer of hope that he might be up to a corrupt file, and I don't want to use a gun if it turns out to be a mosquito.

I tried to look online for questions asked by people with problems and similar symptoms, but I find not only the case with some similarities, not exactly the same thing.

Any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

    > Two days my computer froze all of a sudden for no apparent reason
Above all it s sign parts hardware problem as a module of memory or the motherboard can cause this.

    > Since it happened repeatedly, even in safe mode. A potential clue: runs chkdsk c: \r \f results in a blue screen.

The command chkdsk access and HARD drive tests so it could also be that the HARD drive is the troublemaker.

From my point of view, you should start the recovery and should set the device to the factory settings.
If the device would not work even after you have used the factory condition, I guess that one of the mentioned parts malfunctions.

If the HP recovery process does not work, it seems to be a hardware problem.

And now that you mention have a blue screen.

If it was a software problem, the process of HP recovery to reinstall the operating system should fix (take it back in new condition).

And this new condition would exclude any incorrect hardware drivers may have installed the original problem.

    Have you tried HP support?

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/contact-HP/contact.html

    Or assistance HP Forums:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/

    See you soon.

    Edit:

HP recovery process, you get the possibility of a destructive or non-destructive restore. If you use non-destructive recovery option, often have the same problems continue.

The problem continues when you use destructive recovery too.

  • Laptop Vista stops at the login screen, works ok in safe mode.

I have a 2 year old Vista laptop. The other day, I went to start and it loaded in the log on screen, and when I entered my password, the whole system just stopped. I tried to boot from the CD, and it's the same thing. I was worried that it was a hardware problem, but when I force him to start safe mode, it is not closed.

I was going to do a system restore, but it tells me that there is no restore point (no idea how this could be!). So I'll try to transfer my data to an external hard drive and do a reset, but it does not recognize that I hooked up an external hard drive when I'm in Mode safe. (even the Safe Mode with networking).

I went into msconfig and disabled all THE programs that have started up with Vista (there were many things maybe 6 total) and then I have it load beyond the log on screen, but while I tried to plug in the hard drive and transfer my data, you stop in again.

    Help, please!

    Laurie

    Hi Laurie,

You can try to disconnect the external hard drive and check to see if you can boot into normal mode.

If you can start, you can leave the cleanboot State computer and disconnect the external hard drive and check the event viewer for the recent event logs, that is causing the problem.

You can update the event logs to help us continue troubleshooting.

    Check out the link:

What are the information in event logs? (Event Viewer)

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-information-appears-in-event-logs-Event-Viewer

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Firefox crashes at startup, even in safe mode

Firefox has just started to crash at startup, even in safe mode.

I also tried to create a new profile (which Firefox let me do), but it crashed as soon as I tried to use the new profile.

The only way I could get it to start is putting him to work offline, which is obviously not very useful.

Here are a few crash IDs:

    BP-c11bab84-69e6-4516-b3a5-8f50f2151011

The last ID is for is the first crash I got, which didn't happen at startup.

Thanks for the tips. I still don't know what was wrong, but a restart of the computer has set.

  • Cannot search from the address bar or search even in safe mode

    Hello

I can't search in the address bar or search, even in safe mode. I refreshed Firefox, delete all cookies, empty my cache, but nothing works. Also, I get a message that does not respect the firefox sync, and "this object pushed." I know that these are all different questions, but I suspect that there is a link.

I have very limited FTP and general computer knowledge, so please take I don't know anything when he answers! Really hope you can help!

    Thanks in advance.

You can check if you have the XML files including Google's default search engine in the browser\searchplugins file in the Firefox program folder.

If this isn't the case, then you need to reinstall Firefox.

Try to delete the file search.json and possible search - metadata.json and search.sqlite files in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the default search engines.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

Firefox will rebuild the file search.json from the default search engines in the folder "browser\searchplugins" in the Firefox program folder and the searchplugins folder in the Firefox profile folder.

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problem.

    See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile already used in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting more problems.
