A word on terminology - an important point. You're not building
a new processor. It is not possible. What you build is a new
    computer.

"CPU" means "Central processing unit". In modern furniture
computers, the CPU is a relatively small chip, one
integrated circuit. It is on the motherboard inside the computer
case. It is not the case itself, or the entire computer, which
includes the case and what it contains.

I don't know how incorrect practice began the appeal of the whole
the "processor" of the computer, but here's my guess: when you buy a computer, you
normally get the deal and what is in it, with a monitor,
keyboard, mouse and perhaps a printer. All of these devices
connect to the ports on the case. Because everything connects to the case,
the case is "Central" to everything, and the term "Central."
Processing unit"is sometimes badly understood and poorly applied to it.

Yes, in this case, I understand what you mean even if you used
the bad word. But depending on the situation, using the word
wrong in the future, especially if you have questions, may
confuse those who read your message and you get the wrong information.
This is why it is important that you understand what is a CPU.

and use a motherboard (ASUS Sabertooth) with suitable for nvme updated bios and a version of nvme 750 Intel SSD. I'll do a clean install on win7 system and do not know with certainty how (will install process, download the appropriate drivers) to get the necessary drivers.

You should get the drivers on the web sites of the material
Reference of the manufacturer - in this case, ASUS.

The virtual machine "put" file installs and then restarts.  During the configuration phase it reboots it gets 94% done gives a message 'update failed' and said that no files have been modified.  I redownlaoded the file and reinstalled several times.  I changed the bios to make sure that hardware virtualization is enabled.  All tests that microsft has said that my Machine is fine.  However I can not get the software\update of the virtual machine in order to install properly.  Any thoughts?  Thanks in advance.  Bruce

  • How to do a clean install of El Capitan on new ssd?

I bought a new SSD to replace the SATA drive in my Macbook Pro for mid-2010. I am running Yosemite. What I want to do, is to do a clean install of El Capitan on the SSD. I also bought a pregnant and plan on the use of the old drive as an external backup.

I need some advice: after installing the ssd in the MBP and the old drive in the box, I intend to plug the old drive for the MBP, format the SSD drive and then use a reader flash which I did the Setup file of El Capitan to a clean of El Capitan for the SSD install and then use the Migration Wizard to migrate applications and files from the old drive.

Is there a better way? Maybe install the SSD in the enclosure first, connect to the MBP, then shaped and do cleaning installation of El Capitan?

    All advice is appreciated.

installing the SSD in the pregnant first, connect to the MBP, then shaped and do clean install of El Capitan?

It's better. Some of these Macs experience problems after surgery. The new installation using the outside doing will give you confidence that it works before surgery, and no problem introduced by surgery can be separated from issues of installation and update. It will install and run in an external, just may be a little slow.

  • ACER 5515 will not clean install of Win XP or Vista

I try to put my fully functional level but slow Acer 5515 to use for video capture (use of astronomy)

I bought a WD 320 GB Black HD that has been initialized, partitioned, formatted, & using the MBR & NTFS option.

When you attempt to load Win XP laptop an error indicating that, if a new disc or disk drivers have been installed to remove and search for errors or viruses. The player is reported by tools like healthy WD drive and go the SMART controls on my desktop system. The drive is reported when the BIOS loading but does not seem to work after that. Is this a common problem? are there tricks to get the loaded operating system?

I tried to load win Vista and only got a little further until the system locked up during the completion of the installation, this has happened 3 times.

The solution to my problem was a hammer book ten...

Seriously if I had to put the SATA IDE mode, native AHCI vice (tip published in one of the many how to load XP threads) place after everything went well.

I have now a CLEAN install on a HARD drive bigger, more fast and none of the indigestion of plant to slow down the system.

    Hello:

Before attempting to install Vista, I have a set of recovery disks where you find all the drivers for Vista.

There will be none for your PC on the support page.

To help you get started, here are the links to the drivers I should work for your PC.

1 chip set. First, install and restart. First download is what you want.

  • Unable to connect to the internet with my Compaq Presario CQ5500F after a clean install of Win 7 64 bit

    Hello

I recently did a clean install on my Compaq Presario CQ5500F desktop, but when I finished, I realized that I could not connect to wireless internet almost anything. To clarify, my internet worked before the clean install. I know exactly of what readers have been installed, but I do not know the network controller has a yellow question mark on it now. (See attached image)

In addition, it seems that the computer does not have a wireless card although I was previously using an omnidirectional antenna external wireless connected to my wifi.

I have already visited the HP/Compaq site here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=4209... to install the drivers, but it seems that the network controller, it does not install correctly.

Can someone help me please? I am very frustrated.

In fact, I just solved it!

I looked up the material ID I had just posted on Google and found that someone had the driver on his Skydrivefiles. Then I followed their instructions and went into the Device Manager and selected Update driver the driver of your properties of network adapters tab and pointed on the expanded files.

Turns out I need files for Ralink RT61 Turbo Wireless LAN Card.

    Everything works again!

Thanks for me direction in the right way, Paul!

I hope that someone else has acquired this too!

  • Help with a clean install of W7 upgrade DVD on SSD student.

A 32-bit Vista running, upgrading to 64 - bit by doing a clean install on another drive (SSD).  It works fine, except that the old man is still "System" drive and I can't start with the SSD as boot drive.  And when I boot the old disk I have the option to load Vista or W7.

I'm confused on what actually the upgrade disc.  Do I have some of the Vista on the SDS files to get W7 to install correctly - or is a new installation, a clean install?  I guess I'm looking at another facility (~ 6 hrs.) because I don't have my drive correctly partitition or something.

I've never had this problem before loading a new OS.  I don't know if it's the SSD, the upgrade method used or old age which is the cause of my problem.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Try to do a clean install of Windows 7 to new SSD, would like to know if I can use the same product key.

    Original title: re-install Windows 7

Hello. I recently built my own PC and installed a purchased copy of Windows 7 hard disk. I'm upgrading to an SSD 120 GB and I was wondering if there was a way completely erase my old hard drive for all files and all re - install windows using my CD key and product. I heard that once you use the product key, the copy of Windows is 'married' to this hard drive and the key cannot be used anywhere else. Is this true? Basically, I'm doing a clean install on this new SSD. Thank you.

Not at all, you can erase and reinstall Windows as many times as you want as long as you have the product key.  The only restriction is that the key can be used only on one computer at a time.  Unless this key is used somewhere else, you can install a billion times.  The key is what you pay for, not the CD (in fact, if you lose the CD you can download another copy, but you need to keep your secret key).

In any case, the process is simple: just put in the CD and restart and follow the steps to install.  When you get calls that lead to install on, you have options to format (erase) the drive and basically start over completely.

The only real thing you need to know is that, after the installation, you will need to go to the computer manufacturer's website and download the drivers for your computer.  According to the computer, you may need to get the driver of network from another computer and copy it using a flash drive (if the network needs the driver before it can connect).

  • Licensing has stopped working after a clean install of the operating system for CS4

I did a clean install on my Mac Pro, now my CS4 doesn't work anymore. Gives me error code 150:30 (licensing has stopped working). I can't disable it on this computer because the help option is not available. So I can't turn it off before you uninstall and then reinstall. What is the best way to get this working again please? This is the Suite of Master CS4. Thank you...

Hi, Del, thank you very much - I tried the correction of license options but I also do not have the same files (FlexNet), so I reinstalled and my app are now opens again.

All happy it is now resolved!

  • What happens to my windows recovery 7 (d) when I do a "clean install" to win 8

What happens to my windows recovery 7 (D on my HP Pavilion p6610f PC when I perform a "clean" Windows 8 install?)

"Nothing happens" to the "D:\". "Partition recovery, except if you choose to delete or format during the installation of Windows 8. Note, however, that you will not be able to use the recovery directly from the screen of the BIOS partition / boot and inside Windows 8. Some have been able to 'mark' the 'active' partition and restart that should cause the system run the Recovery Manager. Your best bet is to make sure that you create your HP recovery disks prior to installing Windows 8.

  • Wireless on Satellite C660d-14W after clean instalation of Win 7

    Hello

I bought a toshiba satellite c660d-14w off the coast of a friend and reinstalled a fresh copy of windows 7 x 64.
After installation, the laptop does not recognize any material (graphics, wireless network card, sound) so I slowly tried to install all the drivers for all.

However, no matter what I install for the wireless, it just doesn't seem to work.
Installed the driver from realtek RTL8188CE, driver lan wireless on Toshiba website and have set the network connections service car and restarted it and still nothing.

In the Manager of peripheral devices, network cards, I have two entries:

    Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller
    &
    Realtek RTL8188CE WLAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC

Suffice to say that they are working properly and have the latest drivers but I have no wireless access, does not display the icon in the status bar, and I just get a generic windows error message when you try to configure it manually.

    Help, please!

Yes, the wireless network card seems to be properly recognized in Device Manager.
The Satellite C660C-14W supports the Realtek RTL8188CE WLan chip.

You said you do not have access to the WLan
    Did you check the availability
Control Panel-> network sharing Center-> the settings of map (left)

Here, you should see the wireless network card
    Is - this visible?

If Yes, go to properties and uninstall the TCP/IPv6 protocol and use only TCP/IPv4
