  I just bought a laptop of Hp Envy PC m6-n168ca m6 to replace my last Envy with a damaged operating system. I have a Microsoft 4000 wireless mobile mouse to use with it and I plugged it in the usb connector and installed automatically and apparently successfully. Unfortunately, the mouse is not recognized on the screen. It works on my other laptop so I know it isn't the mouse. This is my first laptop touchscreen but I wonder if it has something to do with it? The function of mouse trackpad works fine but I need to be able to use the touch pad and mouse. Is this possible? Is there something I need to enable/disable or turn off? I searched through all the help and control settings and can not find any useful information. just how to change settings click of mouse and stuff. Can someone help me with this?

  I bought my HP Envy in Dubai (29/08/2013), where I live and use computers laptops HP for 10 years now and never had any problems!  Even was with my last purchase - Envy, until today, when I tried to close my laptop screen and I felt the resistance and plastic parts around the open screen splitting because the hinge was too stiff to rotate and close! I'm guessing that this damage has been caused due to excessive heat generation. Now I'm afraid to try even closed to avoid damage, since there is no physical damage to the laptop - nothing is broken as in the case of similar problem!
  Since my warranty has expired less then a month ago and this obviously isn't my fault, my question is this HP can do in this case?

  My problem here is I have damage outside of my laptop, working minors and scratches that I ignored but now the bottom right corner chip, don't know how it happened and I know that I need to take better care of my laptop.

  If your computer starts up and turns you can use HP detection tool to automatically detect your Product Name computers always / number, serial number, etc.

  I found a "Pad to cover" / "Display Back Cover' for $96 for a model I chose randomly.

• HP Envy m6: missing screw caused the hinge to be loose and cause damage to the angle of the laptop

  During regular use, the screw top-right; closest to the power plug. a missing and caused damage to the angle of the laptop.  I think that the screw may have gone inside the laptop itsself I heard a rattleing around as I move it, which did not use to be there before.  If the rattle inside is not a problem, so how do I get a new live until the problem gets worse?  I tried Home depot, but they aren't small enoguh live :-/ and best buy does not sell such a thing, that is where I bought my computer since then.

  What is the damage that you have described? The hinges cannot fix it so bad a torn anchor points as it came out.

  Since the 26/08/12 in the bookmarks to a folder and subfolders either disappeared, were reorganized in other folders or "Unsorted Bookmarks", duplicate, 'old' old records of Netscape appeared in more recent cases of Mozilla, the bookmarks and folders were duplicated, but bookmarks in them were either older of the last (see Netscape) or have been removed or foregoing. The last folder of Netscape (version 8) and the Mozilla one have reversed positions, (the latter used as superior to Netscape one). This happens after each cold start PC. After several attempts of troubleshooting, it happens now in all folders. I save the bookmarks in a folder in My Documents separated as regular backups that seem to all be corrupted in the same way. I even purge the SYNCHRONIZED data and who has done nothing to solve this problem. I deleted the old bookmarks for Netscape 6/7 and the problem persists. Removal of duplicates is worse. Maintenance of places add worked only 2 consecutive days; Therefore, it is more effective. I have to restore the backup that I did whenever I use Fire Fox after a cold start.

  Have you checked all the backups JSON (10) in the folder bookmarkbackups to see if there are still no corrupted bookmarks?

  If all of your bookmark backups are damaged, you must first repair in a pure and uncorrupted places.sqlite file or try to do that via a tag HTML the backup is an appropriate HTML editor.

  If corruption always occurs after the computer starts and some security software is the most likely cause for this.

  You have not answered what firewall and antivirus that you use.

  Some security software has virtualization or sandbox features that can cause problems to protect and restore files in the Firefox profile folder.

• HP ENVY m7-u009dx: battery replacement Options?

  I noticed how there is no Abu topic this nor any category on this issue.

  I recently bought this laptop HP Envy m7-u009dx and realized that the battery is not external. I use this laptop on a daily basis and know that this laptop will die in a year or 2 because the battery is no longer good or is short on cycles.

  If so, what are the options should I get the battery replaced/fixed? Because currently, I don't see any batteries this product online.  I don't know whether to return this laptop to the store or not.

  I'd rather have an option of a spare battery to replace me myself, rather than ship it to HP company with chances of there being transport and forwarding accordingly constant damage.

  I appreciate it if I can get a response. I love this new laptop, I don't want to waste a new one in 2 years.

• HP Envy Phoenix h9-1330: No. IDT pilot = no sound in Windows 10

  Currently I am fuming with frustration because last night I noticed my Audio Beats Panel was missing and when I searched for it in the menu start he says that the shortcut has been lost. I searched these forums very and advice provided to completely uninstall the IDT Audio driver, reboot and let Windows Update to reinstall the driver. However, when I came back to my computer tonight, Windows Update does not update and I have no sound driver, therefore, no noise. Since I was on Windows 10, HP chose not to create a driver on their Web site for my specific computer beyond Windows 8.1. Could someone help me please, I already made the decision that I would never buy a computer ever pre-engineered, much less a HP, but to make this last a bit more someone can you please tell me how I can get my IDT Audio Driver back as well as the Beats Audio Control Panel on Windows 10 64 Bit for the HP Envy Phoenix h9-1330.

  sp71717 is an audio driver IDT W10.

  sp71918 is only for notebook PC with the IDT.

  If you do a search in the forum Office IDT Windows 10, you'll see a lot of messages from members with similar PC ' where sp71717 works.

  The only suggestion I can offer at this point is to right click on uninstall to select a problem IDT HD audio device, check the driver uninstall, restart the PC and try again sp71717.

  If that works, for now you can have his base by performing the following steps...
