  • HP G56-129WM completely broken wireless, pilot function?

A friend wants me to fix his HP G56, consider, fresh install of Windows 7. I have the driver of fast graphics card, but then the wireless. Will not. Install. Running pilots do absolutely nothing, just creates the "network controller" under "Other devices" in Device Manager. Tried all the drivers from here:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=4332803&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=4247525&swLang=13&TaskID=135&swEnvOID=4063

None of these no matter what--one at the top get into effective installation until he says that the wireless card was disconnected.

Rebooting, pressing (read: brewing) F12 has no effect. It will, however, meet the driver ethernet and say in troubleshooting that an ethernet cable is unplugged. Part the worst is wireless was fine before erasing & reinstall of W7 so I know he driver is based.

    Suggestions? Anyone?

Thank you very much, but I literally just got to work that I read this: the broadcom drivers by http://realtek-rtl8102e-rtl8103e-family-pci-e-f2.drivers.informer.com/ with Windows 7 (x 64) selected did the trick.

  • power on password admin password

I was handed down a g56-129wm laptop and I've screwed up badly. I had changed my password of windows 7 again but this time I forgot the password. I had sent my laptop to a friends dad who told me that he can reset the password by using a password rest software. When the computer has been restarted instead of going into windows journal in my laptop turned on with password admin or power on password screen.  Well, since this laptop was given to me I don't know what the admin password or power on password. Help, please... When I type the password correctly it says disable System [91759013] I restart the laptop and once more he asks me for the password admin or power on password. Help, please

  • Memory of my laptop?

    HP laptop 15 "

    Model: G56-129WM

    Product: XG598UA #ABA

    Series: [personal information]

This computer currently has 3 gigabytes of ram. I would like to install more ram. I need to know how many ram slots available to add more ram and the type OF ram that I currently have, so I can do correspond with exactly the same type when I buy more.

    Thank you

It has 2 slots. The maximum memory is 2 DDR2-800 modules, for a total of 8 GB.

Link to download your service manual

Upgrade memory is on page 44.

The manual indicates on page 2 that Intel models as your not using DDR2, DDR3 and all versions can take up to 8 GB. 4 gig of DDR2 memory modules are extremely expensive so you might want to take just the module of 1 gig you havve and installation of a second module 2 gig.

    Here are 8 concerts:

  • Compaq cq56

Hi I have a cq56-219wm compq, I bought cheap and wanting to max of ram and processor taken in charge, the manual States being of t4500 to intel the most but who have read a will yet more great work, that is not my question though, my laptop has everything for a webacam, I can buy the wire and put it in since it was an option , is the hp g56 the same computer, the lcd cover a hp g56 held on my cq56? My cover is striped and looks nicer hp anyway, thanks

Yes, you can add a webcam. REF. 626556-001.

You can take a look at this:

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/OEM-laptop-HP-G56-129WM-LCD-cover-case-with-hinges-webcam-/281469768578?PT=US_Laptop_Housings_Touchpads&hash=item4188e7d382

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

The housing of the display and the front panel for CQ56 and G56 are different part numbers and there is a slight difference in appearance so I'll front screen panels to say 'no' are not interchangeable, but it is difficult to say without trying. That of the auction linked to above fits on your device as an entire room and you get a webcam with her.

  • Recovery Manager is unable to read disk backup files

    Product name:

    HP G56-129WM

    Operating system:

    Windows 7

I used HP (F11) Recovery Manager to back up my files instead of using Windows backup. The HP Recovery Manager back uped my files on dvd disks 2. Then I restored my laptop to factory settings. When I go to restore my files, it will only go to 40% and then ask me to insert the DISC 2 backup. When I insert the disc, it will fail to read. The disc will eject and I receive a request to insert DISC 2. What is going on?

Unfortunately all backup HP of grab files, you specify and one bunch of others you really, why I don't know, as HP backup does not restore files to the original location, when restore.exe work (only not in your case), he plunges them correctly just in a folder for you to browse, not not very different from the use of 7 - zip to decompress.

You need to decide what is important to you and copy them in where you want, unfortunately is not a very good backup program, it simply records your files for HP recovery does not remove the.

  • My mother G56 laptop is not booting - HELP - get a cursor blinking in the top middle of the screen!

Laptop of my mother with all his important files on it is not start.  As soon as it turns on, it basically goes to a black screen with a cursor flashing at the top.  I tried the instructions here to use the windows recovery image to join the reactive BACK and run the commands provided in fixboot back... but they do not work.  The computer is a laptop Nr G56-125 only about a year, the operating system is Windows 7 Premium 64-bit.  I tried also to restore system but get the same when put on

    Hello:

You tried to access the recovery from the repair CD image you did and it did not work?

If you can not get anything to work, then I of workaround that you can use to get W7 back there.

If you let just install without delete and format the drive when Windows installs, it will create a windows.old folder and you can get the files from your mother from the windows.old folder.  Also in the windows.old folder, there should be a SWSetup folder. That the folder contains the major part of the program and the installation files of the driver that came with the PC.  Copy this folder off the coast for more security and use it to reinstall all the programs supplied with the PC that you want to get back out there.

    Here is the workaround...

If you can read the Microsoft windows 7 25-character product key, you can download simple Windows 7 ISO files to burn on a DVD for the version of windows that is installed on your PC, and which is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC case.

Burn the ISO with the option to burn the ISO on your DVD burning program and burn it at the slowest possible speed that will allow your program. This will create a bootable DVD.

Use 25 characters on the PC product key to activate the installation.

The key will activate a 32 or 64 bit installation.

Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.

Link to downloads ISO of W7 is below.

  • laptop connected hp g56 to toshiba regza tv but no sound... Help, please! : )

Hi, I am looking to connect my laptop g56 to my tosiba tv regza.

I managed to get the fine photo using a vga cable but with no sound. After a bit of research and asking questions, I was told to do a plug to rca (red and white) cable, connect the plug to my laptop headphone plug and the rca to the corresponding ports of the TV. Done that and there is still no sound coming out of the tv!

What I need to download a special driver or something to make the sound go out the TV or is it better to go buy a hdmi cable?

Any advice would be really appreciated!

    Hello

A VGA output is only able to carry a video signal - I strongly suggest that you forget about yourself and get an HDMI cable to connect to your TV.  There is no need to buy a high-end cable, just a stanadard HDMI cable is very well - I never found no difference in the quality of output.

    Kind regards

  • HP G56 Notebook: Replacement hard drive on a laptop G56

The hard drive on my G56 died. "No HDD found", said currently, a 500 GB Sata 2. Can I put a 1 disc? There are a lot online that claim to work with this laptop. They are not formatted, and I know I have to buy windows again, but will I need to install the HP software also? In the affirmative. where can I find it?

    Thank you Gary

You can put in a 1 TB drive. I recommend a model at 7200 RPM, something like this:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16822145875

Actually, you do not need to buy Windows again. Your laptop has an OEM license. Can you still read the key Code label inside the battery bay or at the bottom of the laptop?

HP system software or drivers and utilities can be downloaded from this page. You may have the original recovery disks that the laptop has asked you to do when you first pulled it upward? If this is not the case, these discs can be ordered from HP, for much less than new windows.

Please respond so we can provide additional assistance. Do you need directions or a video to replace the hard drive?

  • Can I upgrade the ram on a HP G56 laptop

    Hello

    I have a HP G56 laptop running windows 7 64-bit OS.

    Product no. XZ466EA #ABU

It has 3 GB of RAM, but apparently, it can be upgraded to a 8 GB max.

Is it true and it would be and if yes, what I see a big improvement in its performance?

    Hello

It's your decision, to the good old days, I paid a $240 for only 32 MB (Yes MB) for my little Toshiba Libretto (around the year 2000). The two slot RAM may not be the same, please check this:
