  HP service can restore this information to eprom with a special tool. To solve this problem to contact with HP and tell them what type of problem you have. How all the information here (just choose your country).

  First of all thank you for helping me! Don't know where else to call for advice.

  I have a laptop HP dv6000 series initially delivered with Win XP media center edition. Which I upgraded to Win7 Ultimate edition about 6 months ago. Due to some recent problems, I have to reformat my hard drive but I first downgrade to XP and then you go to win7 the graphics chip from nvidia starts to act up because of pilot computability.

  Now, my recovery partition is still sitting on the harddriver but by pressing F11 or F10 at startup won't boot me into recovery mode more. To top it of I never created the recovery DVDs. But as I said the partition is still there.

  Is it possible for me to access to restore to xp?

  Click Start > right click on computer > manage > column on the left, find the disk management. Find your XP recovery partition it and right click and choose to mark it active. Ignore the warning sign. The next time you start it should start recovering in XP.

  Do not press f10 or f11 for this procedure.

  If this does not work, you will need to order recovery XP disks to form HP if they are still available.

  Hello. I am doing a downgrade on a computer hp laptop pavilion g6 2241sa for my friend of windows 8 for windos 7 64 x. The operating system is installed, but there are some missing drivers, which I can't find online. Also specific ports are not running.

  Edit: Solved almost entirely using Chipset_AMD_VW7W8_12.8. The other drivers were dressed, they just could not come up because the bus driver of sms was absent. Only pci device is now missing.

  Hi all!

  Hoping that someone who has a lot more of an idea about this can help me because I can't really find what I need to fix this!

  Basically - I have a computer old enough HP G60 laptop running Windows Vista and using some providers of internet (SKY and Virgin Media) I can connect to the internet, but it only shows Local only. (I don't have this problem when it is connected to BT Openworld is told by the way, not sure of the relevance of this?) I can connect to my wifi with my iPhone without problems, so currently connect to the internet using the USB cable, but it's so slow!

  Is it possible to update the Atheros driver for this problem?

  No, you can't, they are referring to disc OEM System Builder that are purchased at the store.

  You cannot use a HP recovery disk on another computer.

  You will need to obtain a disc OEM System Builder or a version full or upgrade of retail. Also, what version of Windows you plan downgrade to?

  If the server esxi already downgraded in judgment of sate, then you can delete the syslog file (in vcenter) to as esxi. If the underwater ESXI still running, you can disable forewall port for syslog (even if you can remove the host name of the syslog setting advanced collector.)
