  • Satellite L505-13Z - BOOT error

Hi all, I have a Satellite L505-13Z. After the hard drive recovery, something went wrong and I had only the F12 page.
I used the recovery DVDs. It worked for an hour to install win7, then he did a reboot and I saw the windows screen, so that it starts again and stopped working: whenever I turn it on, I have the F12 screen, choose a place to start. Hard drive is detected, but if I choose what it I got the "Boot error" and back to the same page.

I would try Hiren boot to check if the hard disk is OK or not. How will I know if it's only the hard drive or something else?

    Thank you

    UPDATE.
I used a bootable cd with Hiren and each test on hard disk and RAM are OK, no errors.
I inserted the DVD to see if he had the option to repair an installation, but do not, so I installed again. In the end, we asked me to remove the DVD and restart; I did and I went to loop: win 7 was updating registry, reboot, win 7 has been updated to register...

I wondered if the DVD has been damaged, but is no way to download from microsoft, a Windows 7 copy, because when I insert my response series is to ask the supplier...

    What can I do?

    Hello

    1. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

    2. have you changed the BIOS boot device?

    3. What is the brand and model of the computer?

    This could be related to:

    · Startup options is not correctly defined in the BIOS

    · A non bootable CD is in your CD player

    · You don't have any boot device

    · You have installed a new hard drive

    · The hard drive is not properly connected

    · Your system files have been infected

Change the boot order in the CMOS (BIOS) settings so that your disc is the first in the list.

    a. restart the computer.
    b. new computers often display a startup (or boot) menu. In the start menu, choose "Configuration of the BIOS," or "BIOS settings," or something similar.

Procedures vary depending on the manufacturer of the BIOS. Usually, you must press a key (for example, F2, F12, DELETE, ESC) or a combination of keys immediately after you
turn on your computer but before Windows starts. If the Windows logo appears, you must try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then stop and restart your computer again.

    c. the BIOS configuration screen appears. On the BIOS Setup screen, choose the option called "Boot order" or something similar. Startup command settings can also be saved
under "Advanced settings" or something similar.
    d. Select your drive from DVD or USB drive as first boot device.

  • HP G60 laptop boots HP logo, and then recycles - Windows 7

I just installed a new keyboard on my laptop G60 running Windows 7 Enterprise Edition. before putting the screws in the battery compartment area, I replaced the battery and turned on my laptop unpluggced to see if the new keyboard work. Everything worked perfectly.

So I closed the lid of my laptop, removed the battery, put the screws, replace the battery and press the power button, now my laptop boots as much as the HP logo, with the option to press ESC to the Start Menu, then the screen goes black and travels to the HP logo. This cycles goes and indefinitely. I am able to access the Start Menu. I removed the new keyboard and tried to start it again - same thing. I then tried using my old keyboard to see if that makes a difference - no change.

    Any advice? Thank you.

Hi - I tried that after I posted this question, and it turned out to be a previously installed update that was causing the problem. I had to restore my system to a previous date before the update was installed, and this has solved the problem. Thank you!

  • Satellite Pro L10 - PCI on motherboard at boot error

    Hey,.

    I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L10.
This weekend my laptop works normally.
But now for some reason when I boot I get this error message:

Resource conflict - mother PCI card
    Bus: 02, device: 01, function: 00
F1 F2 for Setup to resume

I can still get into Windows (XP SP2) and the computer works normally, but the error message is a gene.
I've also updated the BIOS to the latest version that I could find on the Toshiba site, but still get the error.
I guess that it is a hardware problem, maybe something is broken/failing?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

I m not 100% sure that this error could say, but I guess that the PCI device (perhaps a card) connected to the bus 2 causes this error message.

Maybe this could be a PCMCIA controller that is responsible for the PCMCIA card.

Did you check your device manager for errors that are indicated by yellow exclamation points?

Please check if one of the devices listed in the Device Manager does not work properly.

    Good bye

  • PowerMac 7500/100 Boot errors

I have a PowerMac 7500/100 I try to boot with Mac OS 8.0 to recover files. The system folder on the internal SCSI hard drive is corrupted due to a partial failure of the drive, but most of the files are accessible. I have a HDD ATA connected via a controller PCI ATA that I try to copy files. I don't have a recovery CD, but I have a recovery ZIP disk. I could boot from the ZIP disk, but recently there has been problems and I can't boot from it.

There are two problem scenarios. These occur when I try to boot from the recovery ZIP disk. The most common is that it will boot completely, but as the Finder does a dialog box pops up saying "system 41 error has occurred. Please try to restart with extensions disabled. "System 41 error seems to be a memory full error, but I'm unclear as to if it is disk space or RAM. I tried to restart with extensions disabled, but the same error appeared. I also tried to install a key of 64 MB of RAM in an empty slot to see if he had too little RAM, but it has no effect. The second scenario is that he will start until half of the extensions were loaded, and then a dialog box will appear the message "system 10 error has occurred." Please restart. "This error occurs less often than the first.

If I try to boot from a hard disk, I get an error dialog box that says that the 7.1 system is not compatible with my computer. I don't have a 7.1 on the computer system, I BONES 8.0 with a corrupt system file.

I tried reseting PRAM and NVRAM, but it had no effect. I tried to rebuild the desktop, just to see if it has had no effect, but it showed the same error 41 system until something happened. I tried to boot with a recovery OS 9.2 CD, but it was not compatible with the equipment. I have an ATA adapter USB I tried to connect the ATA hard drive to another computer running Windows 8.1, but the file system is not compatible, and I could not read disc. I don't have any for the SCSI adapter, and those that I found online is too expensive. The SCSI drive is that I'm trying to recover files from. Hard disks aren't sounds that would indicate a serious breach (ie. by a click of death). I have a firewire PCI card that I have reviewed the installation to see if I can get it to boot via firewire, but the only other Mac I have has firewire are a G3 iMac and Mac Mini 2010 environment, so I don't think that would work.

The problem started while I was copying files between drives. Finder crashed when a disk error has occurred in the process of copy, so I restarted the computer and errors have begun and are since.

I have tried everything I can think, and Google returns nothing useful. I hope that my description of the situation is not confusing. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Errors usually turned 10 around issues with OpenTransport.    If you had the wrong combination of MacTCP and OpenTransport who might make things hairy.    The other thing to remember, Norton Utilities was horrible on this operating system.  If you've used Norton Utilities, don't.   It is drive Kevorkian.

There is an old rule of hard drives, if they are more than 85 percent full that they do not behave very well.

If the PRAM Battery is older than 5 years old, replace it.

It's exact 7.1 is not compatible with the 7500.  Its minimum system is 7.5.2 but that the system had a really horrible version of OpenTransport.   Make sure that the old version 1.0.8 or earlier is not installed.

Now I remember of there are some circumstances that MacTCP could be mixed with OpenTransport, but it's generally not good to do.

You need only the retail disk 7.6 or the retail 8 to install disk or another or on Mac.  You must use a specific system disk to another Mac, or a disc to update or OEM.

All other things being equal. the RAM may be the issue.  Make sure what is the RAM that is tested for a 7500/100.  Do not buy any old man:

    128 MB 168 Pin DIMM 4K FPM non - EDO 60NS 5V Mac

It must be of RAM which is known compatible http://www.macsales.com/ http://www.crucial.com/ http://www.datamem.com/ or http://www.lifetimememory.com/ does not buy the RAM value either.

  • Satellite L300-1AS - error PXE - boot error - will not boot from USB

Startup error - error PXE-L300 1AS - will not boot from USB

I recently bought a new HD to replace the original that my laptop takes an hour to load.

I put the new drive hard at in the BIOS setting, I chose to boot from USB... USB is recognized as it appears on the screen of the BIOS. I disabled the LAN option as it gives me PXE error... I think that the USB files are not read. as I handed the old HD and attached to boot from USB but it just goes to the start screen.

I thought that perhaps I bought the wrong HD, but a new appeared on the BIOS setting... I'm a bit confused and would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction...

Any help or advice will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

New HARD drive has nothing to do with it. Problem must be your USB key.
In your ad you didn t wrote what is on it, and we don t know if USB can operate as boot device or not.

I put t know what OS you want to install right now but original recovery DVDs or use Microsoft installation disc and install Win7 32 bit. I ve installed on friends L300 and it works perfectly.

  • Pavilion Dv6: LX218EA #ABV: (SDS update Boot Error) Pavilion Dv6 product: LX218EA #ABV

Hi, my HP laptop Pavilion Dv6 product: LX218EA #ABV BeatsAudio Edition is 4 years old is dying.

I did a test of equipment and is believing that the Hitachi HARD drive suffers completely.

So I pre-order a new KingSton HyperX Savage 480 GB and I tried to install it but whenever I try to boot the operating system

It says "A Disk Read Error occurred" Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart.

    * The Windows operating system is installed properly.

Startup configuration is automatically set on AHCI in Bios

    * The SSD is works great, I tried to install it on my desktop as well.

    * The Hitachi that I have a dynamic disk and I can't clone for the new HyperX Savage.

I was looking around for a solution and I came up with the idea to take my PS4 Hitachi HARD drive and put the HyperX on it.

Is there are other Solutions if I install correctly add the SSD or I will try to replace the current HARD drive of the laptop by the disk of the PS4?

I hope I've provided enough information so someone can help you.

    Thank you.

Finally fixed, first I shared in two space of the SSD on the installation of the OS, boot & init works very well. then I formatted again and installed normally without splitting the drive and starting works fine I have no problem up to 3 days of use.

  • The BCD boot error message

I have been through many posts about this error (and others) all pointing to a failure with the \boot\BCD, all of the different error codes file. None of the provided solutions gave me a permanent solution.

The majority of responses indicate a HDD of aging / failing. However, I got this error on two different HARD drives with clean installs on both... twice. And I Chkdisk'ed together, and I had a PC Tech Shop guy will check no the two parameters. This error has occurred also in Win 7 and Win 10, so it's not version specific.

I have a theory, it's maybe be able to bound, either my food is cooked or the wiring. I don't know how to TEST this theory. Any ideas?
