  • G61-110SA disc complete 1 (305)

    Hello

My laptop (HP G61-110SA), which is now out of warranty, took a very light and now it won't start properly .

It starts up but it just goes to a screen with 2 options: 'Launch (recommended) StartupRepair' or 'Start Windows normally' (who just goes to a blue windows screen and is no more progress).   If 'Launch Startup Repair' is selected, it goes through a series of screens "HP Recovery Manager" but only allows me to select one option - "Open a Command Prompt" which is useless to me because I do not know what command to type!

I ran the Diagnostic tests and have the following results:

    Smart hard drive - Pass

    Memory - Pass test

    Hard drive 1 full (305)

    Hard drive 1 fast (303)

Does that mean I really need a new hard drive or is there anything else I can do? (there are no strange noises from the laptop when it is turned on).

Any advice/info would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much

    Hello

Error codes are for the Self Test short and full disc and would undoubtedly indicate that hard is defective and must be replaced.  This is also consistent with the question of commissioning.

If your laptop is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange for the disk replaced - you can check the status of your warranty here.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are out of warranty and would like a guide to replacing the hard drive yourself, let me know.

  • HP G61 - 110SA Notebook PC: Bluetooth disappeared

    Hello & help!

    Re: HP G61-110SA laptop PC

I just bought a wireless headphones (Philips headset stereo Bluetooth SHB4000) but I am unable to get them to connect to my laptop (they connect fine on my phone if this isn't a problem with the headphones).

I tried to check the bluetooth connection, but I can't find now anything bluetooth related on my laptop - I'm sure it was there before!

I tried to update the drivers, but I just get a message saying: "no Bluetooth device is connected.  Please make sure that your Bluetooth device is connected correctly in order to continue the installation.

I would be really grateful for any help/advice offered to help me get my Bluetooth back & work!

    Thanks in advance

    Louise

    Hi @Mariuk,

    Thank you for your query.

I understand that you are unable to connect to your new Bluetooth headset to your computer laptop, but you had no problems connecting to your phone.

When you have checked your notebook, you were unable to locate something associated with Bluetooth. When you tried to install the Bluetooth driver you received a message that "no Bluetooth device is connected. Please make sure that your Bluetooth device is connected correctly in order to continue the installation.

Even if you believe that you have the Bluetooth option before.

When I checked the specification of your laptop there is no Bluetooth or wireless listed.

To use Bluetooth with this laptop, you must purchase a Bluetooth dongle.

I bought a new Pro A30 of Satellite earlier.

  • Pavilion G7-2243us: how to download windows 8 to recharge after failure of hard/replacement drive

Is it possible to download free, Windows 8 to my G7-2243us HP. It is out of warranty. The hard drive failed and I replaced it. I can order it from hp for $25, but hope that there is a way to do it legally for free. Doesn't seem fair for HP load something that should be free.

    Hello:

This link should work, but you may need to try again later if it says that the file is not available right now due to have exceeded the download limit for the time period.

    https://docs.Google.com/file/d/0B0W9PBigPy94aVJWSndyTFNFMzg/edit?PLI=1

Then use this tool to transfer the file to a Flash DRIVE or a DVD to make it bootable.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/download/Windows-USB-DVD-download-tool

In order to boot from a DVD, you have to enable the legacy mode and disable start-up secured in the BIOS.

  • 401SA HP G61: upgrade hard drive

    Hello.

Can someone help me with regard to the compatibility of a Seagate 1 TB SSHD for my HP G61 401SA laptop. The existing drive is low on free space and that it is a 9mm disc I was hoping that I could replace it with this 1 TB drive, but I don't know if the laptop can support this capability. I am running the latest version of the Bios. Thank you.

Then you are good. I understand the question. There is no limit size of drive that will cause problems at all. SATA has no size limits in the way in which the ancient architecture of IDE drive did.

  • G61-110SA: upgrade CPU G61-110SA

As a pc engineer, I tried to upgrade my laptop to HP G61 aging wives with a better processor of speck. It was equipped with an Intel pentium T4300 2.1 Ghz CPU P 487 outlet again. I tried to change to a P8600, but the laptop refuses to boot?

I did several updates on laptops (with similar P CPU socket) and they are all worked well. Even the last one I did on a Dell Inspiron is a breeze.

It is the first HP laptop I tried.

Has anyone else had the same problem or can advise please.

    Thank you

Well, the first thing to do is the Manual:

    Manual

See the list of motherboards on page 3-4. Your laptop is a GL40 chipset, which is designed for Dual Pentium and Celeron processors and then the GM45 is for Core 2 Duo. The P8600 not compatible with the GM45 card, but would be a P8700. The GL40 jury is not fully compatible with all the features of a Core 2 Duo.

  • HP G61-110SA - is no longer start or charge

    Hi all

My battery died while it is plugged. I then noticed that the light next to the power supply wasn't on.

I tried a new charger, a battery and replaced the cable adapter on the side of the laptop on the motherboard. Still no charge neither start-up.

The LED will only Flash is marked LED2 on the motherboard or a lightning is used (power) on the case in the main proceedings.

    Any ideas guys?

Those are the components on the motherboard and would require a technician with access to the printed circuit diagrams or really good electrical knowledge. You can get in an area where you might start thinking to apply the money towards a new machine against the cost of the repair.

  • "Licensing has stopped working" OS 10.9.2 hard replaced after crash

"Licensing has stopped working" quite suggested adobe: remove Flexnet license repair tool, disk permissions ext ect. I recently had a new hard drive put in my IMAC, after the failure of a last they improved BONES to 10.9.2, perhaps this has something to do with it? Impossible to uninstall the last hard drive? idk. I couldn't reach anyone at adobe, and although I've seen other people with the same problem I saw a solution. @

After research on the internet and in discussions with several Adobe service representatives, the answer is so simple! CS4 is not compatible with 10.9.2!

Hi there, can anyone help me upgrade windows 7 32-bit to 32-bit windows 8. is it possible that I can get a free version of windows 8 32-bit. If so can I have a link on where I can get the file from.

Thank you for your help and your response will be appreciated.

    Hello

I checked to see if there are any 8 - 8.1 Windows drivers available for your HP machine model and unfortunately none are included, also even if it had been possible to obtain the support of driver for the upgrade you should always have to pay Microsoft for the upgrade via disc retail Pack or an ISO download online.
