HP G61 - 110SA Notebook PC: Bluetooth disappeared

Hello & help!

Re: HP G61-110SA laptop PC

I just bought a wireless headphones (Philips headset stereo Bluetooth SHB4000) but I am unable to get them to connect to my laptop (they connect fine on my phone if this isn't a problem with the headphones).

I tried to check the bluetooth connection, but I can't find now anything bluetooth related on my laptop - I'm sure it was there before!

I tried to update the drivers, but I just get a message saying: "no Bluetooth device is connected.  Please make sure that your Bluetooth device is connected correctly in order to continue the installation.

I would be really grateful for any help/advice offered to help me get my Bluetooth back & work!

Thanks in advance

Louise

Hi @Mariuk,

Thank you for your query.

I understand that you are unable to connect to your new Bluetooth headset to your computer laptop, but you had no problems connecting to your phone.

When you have checked your notebook, you were unable to locate something associated with Bluetooth. When you tried to install the Bluetooth driver you received a message that "no Bluetooth device is connected. Please make sure that your Bluetooth device is connected correctly in order to continue the installation.

Even if you believe that you have the Bluetooth option before.

When I checked the specification of your laptop there is no Bluetooth or wireless listed.

HP G61-110SA Notebook PC product specifications.

To use Bluetooth with this laptop, you must purchase a Bluetooth dongle.

Have a great weekend!

  • G61-110SA disc complete 1 (305)

    Hello

My laptop (HP G61-110SA), which is now out of warranty, took a very light and now it won't start properly .

It starts up but it just goes to a screen with 2 options: 'Launch (recommended) StartupRepair' or 'Start Windows normally' (who just goes to a blue windows screen and is no more progress).   If 'Launch Startup Repair' is selected, it goes through a series of screens "HP Recovery Manager" but only allows me to select one option - "Open a Command Prompt" which is useless to me because I do not know what command to type!

I ran the Diagnostic tests and have the following results:

    Smart hard drive - Pass

    Memory - Pass test

    Hard drive 1 full (305)

    Hard drive 1 fast (303)

Does that mean I really need a new hard drive or is there anything else I can do? (there are no strange noises from the laptop when it is turned on).

Any advice/info would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much

    Hello

Error codes are for the Self Test short and full disc and would undoubtedly indicate that hard is defective and must be replaced.  This is also consistent with the question of commissioning.

If your laptop is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange for the disk replaced - you can check the status of your warranty here.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

  • HP 15 - f014wm Notebook PC: Bluetooth does not

    HP 15-f014wm laptop

    Product # J2X64UA #AB

Please bare with me because it's a long story.

When I bought this laptop for over a year (brand new) it had Windows top 8.1.  In July of last year, I've upgraded to Windows 10 (and all that it bugs...) (LOL)!  I lost my Bluetooth function among other function.  Since then, I had reset this computer and upgrade to Windows 10 almost twice the last just a few days.  I had many conversations with Microsoft and HP read all sorts of forums found things that I had to try to solve the problem without success.

Now come on last lap my Bluetooth icon is back in the notifications, but is not listed in Device Manager or in the settings.  I went to the course on the HP site and got the drivers for Bluetooth (Bluetooth of Ralink MediaTek software most MediaTek Ralink Wireless LAN Adapter).  This software is on my computer at the moment, but it seems just sitting there taking up space.

After installing the software I've tried hang up of my phone (which is Bluetooth and using a USB sync cable), but it would not pick up my camera for some reason any.

I hope and pray that I can get information on how to solve this problem!

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello:

In fact, there is nothing wrong with your PC.

It never came with built-in bluetooth, that's why it does not work.

Here is the link to the product for your model specifications page.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-15-F000-notebook-PC-series/7137590/model/7334938/document/c04398713/?SKU=J2X64UA

If it came with built-in bluetooth, this feature would have been listed with the 802.11b/g/n 1 x 1 wireless WLAN connectivity Specifications.

The parts for your mobile list confirms it as it shows, it comes with a Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11bg / n 1 x 1 WiFi adapter.

    http://PartSurfer.HP.com/search.aspx?SearchText=J2X64UA

It is a single band wireless card that has no network bluetooth chip.

If you want only the bluetooth, the best thing to do to forge be to buy an external usb bluetooth adapter.

    Hi @Johnlennon,

    Thank you for your query.

I understand that your laptop cannot locate Bluetooth devices and you have the correct Bluetooth drivers installed.

Did you run HP Support Assistant to help with upgrades and troubleshooting.

Did you just upgrade your Windows?

Have you tried to use the troubleshooter in Windows?

As the Bluetooth is part of the network card is any mistake about it in Device Manager?

Here are some links that should help you:

HP computers - understanding and troubleshooting Bluetooth wireless technology (8.1 Windows, 8, 7, Vista, XP)

Computers HP - using devices (Windows 10: 8).

If the problem persists, you can try the following steps:

Step 1. Go to Device Manager.
Step 2. Right click on "Bluetooth device" you want
Step 3. Select "Update driver software."
Step 4. Choose "Browse my computer for driver software".
Step 5. Choose "Let Me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.
Step 6. Select "Ports (COM & LPT)".
Step 7. Select "Microsoft" to the list of "manufacturers".
Step 8. Finally select "Standard series via a Bluetooth connection.

If you are unable to connect to a Bluetooth device, try the following:

Step 1. Search for 'Change device' in the start menu in Windows 8.
Step 2. Click on where it says change device installation settings.
Step 3. Select No, let me choose what to do option.
Step 4. Check the automatically get the device application option.
Step 5. Click on save changes to save the settings that you select.

    So, you can try this:

Step 1: Go to RUN (Windows Logo + R) and type "services.msc" and Enter
Step 2: Now find 'Bluetooth Support Service' and double click it
Step 3: Now click on the Log on tab and type "Local Service" without the quotes
    Step 4. Click on "account".
Step 5: Now remove any authorization of passwords the password field blank
Step 6: Below the upper left title should be a hyperlink 'Start' click

You can also check the tab management power and unchecked the box that says
"Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."

Please let me know the results.

    Good luck!

  • HP Pavilion dv6t-6100 CTO Quad Edition Entertainment Notebook PC bluetooth?

I have a HP Pavilion dv6t-6100 CTO Quad Edition Entertainment Notebook PC with Win7 Home Edition. The manual indicates that it has bluetooth capabilities. Device Manager does not list a bluetooth adapter. Belarc Advisor said that the laptop has an Intel Centrino Wireless Bluetooth 3.0 adapter and high-speed virtual. I downloaded and installed sp55138.exe Intel PROSet driver bluetooth, but still no bluetooth.

This laptop have bluetooth capability, and what is the appropriate driver/software to activate it?

    Thank you.

To check if your laptop is Bluetooth capable, go to the device and then manager network adapters. Note the model of network adapter, and then check the manufacturer's website. My original card is an Intel N1000, that isn't compatible Bluetooth. I intend to change it on shortly with another model that has Bluetooth.

  • Bluetooth disappears from the Device Manager

Hello I have a HP Envy 13 - x 2 j002dx and I'm having bluetooth associated with is questions is frustrating given the bluetooth keyboard. Every day my bluetooth driver disappears from the Device Manager and the bluetooth settings option does not appear again. I need to reinstall the Intel bluetooth driver (sp68385) every day and even if I can't find the device manager driver he said whenever the driver is already on my computer. Please help I love the computer, but I'm ready to get rid of it because of this problem. I don't have to reinstall a driver every two days or so to use my keyboard.

Another thing to try... restoration/uninstall both drivers WiFi and bluetooth. Especially if you have just updated their. At some point, I updated the driver wifi intel on my asus laptop and the missing of Bluetooth. Took me several hours of research and to play with the drivers to understand a wifi update some how stuck on the bluetooth hardware.

What is Windows Home Premium 64-bit?

Have you tried to use the HP Support Assistant's to find the driver?

In Device Manager, right-click on the device Bluetooth (Personal Area Network) and select Properties. In the Properties window that opens, select the Details tab as in the picture and select hardware ID. Please any information resulting post here.  You will notice that I proposed two ways to locate the driver. Support assistant might be the fastest method at your disposal. The second method requires a little research on my part.

  • HP Pavilion notebook - audio maintains disappear minutes after pc startup

Hello everyone. This is my first post in this forum.

For about a month, I had an annoying problem with my laptop audio. Quite often, when I turn on my pc, my audio disappears after a few minutes. Sometimes, there is no solid right from the start. The mute button doesn't work, because normally there is an orange light when you turn off the pc sound, although that does not happen again. Windows Media Player can only read formats such as mp4, avi etc with no sound in the background. However, it cannot open mp3 files at all (the error message). Videos on sites like youtube stop playing after a few seconds (although the buffer is still ongoing, and of course there is no sound).

So, basically, there is no type of audio from the speaker (as his error, sound message, control the sounds etc...)

I tried to plug in the headphones and external speakers, but not luck.  I've updated my audio driver, but it did not help.

Moreover, when I run the audio control panel test, an error message appears that says "device currently being used by another application. Please close all applications that use the device and start again. »

    My laptop is quite new. It's a "HP Pavilion 15 - e070sl.

All this is driving my crazy. It's really frustrating. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
