    Hi guys,.

I have a HP G62 B10SP, the problem is that the drivers(intel/ATI) on page HP fine work, I can spend from intel to AMD do map no problem.

The problem is that the driver on the HP page is obsolete, and when I installed the most recent driver for the HD 5470 I can't change beetwenn card more.

The driver can be updated to a newer version? This version is very old is is even not all info on GPU - Z.

    P.S - Windows 7 32 bit (x 86)

    Thank you!

Where are you the new driver from?

The general rule, also noted by AMD, is to stick with the drivers from the manufacturer for laptops, because they have specially designed drivers for the combination of material.

I personally have updated my driver switchable graphics AMD without problem.

However, I also use a different method than that do more.

Have you tried to update the driver AMD through Steam?  Steam is developed by Valve and is not associated with HP.

With the AMD card is activated, you can try to update the driver AMD using steam.

    1. install Steam.

    2. run Steam.

    3. Select Steam and AMD update of drivers.

    4. If there is a new driver, it will give the opportunity to install it.

I managed with the driver update AMD my laptop with switchable graphics.

Amended to specify the menu navigation steps.

  • G62 processor upgrade question

    Welcome to all!

I know that this topic could be recycled a few times, but I have not found the answer to my question. If it is there, please let me know.

I have a laptop with an Intel P6100 processor G62-b50SV. It's great and all, but I decided to upgrade the i3 - 370 M processor since I am fortunate to have two of them in my hands and I found out that it should be compatible with this decision.

Opening the laptop and replacement of the processor was easy, but when I put it back together the screen remains black. The fan works, so is the hard drive, but nothing else happens.

I tried to upgrade the BIOS, but it didn't work. Of course when I handed the P6100 everything works as if nothing had happened.

Help, please. What I am doing wrong? I forgot something?

    Kind regards

    Marcin

It seems that you have version 1.1 of the laptop. See Page 20 of the manual here:

    Repair manuals

The i3-380 works with version 1.1, but the i3-370 works on the other version. Yes, they can be as finicky.

  • Pavilion G62 b04SL: upgraded to an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 default wifi card

Hello, my laptop Hp G62 b04SL 2009 can support an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 wifi card?

Have this laptop, a whitelist (or black)?

    profuct key: XF299EA #ABZ

    Processor: Intel Core I3 350M

    motherboard: HP 1439 60.50

BIOS: version of Hewlett - Packard F.48 09/11/2011

    RAM: 4 GB

    Thank you all!

Yes, he absolutely has a whitelist. I do not know where to come from tips in the other 2 posts and this is a mistake. Laptop wi - fi modules are readily available on the market. I have a drawer full of them to prove it. Unfortunately, HP had about one year-10 ran to block the installation of any wi - fi (module) card but a specific group of cards specific firmware HP and identity. In other words, the ONLY cards that can be installed are the very specific listed for your model in your area in the maintenance manual. This prevented the owners of manufactured HP laptops before about Q4 2013 to upgrade to the latest wireless technology. Your laptop is longer than that if you're stuck with what is indicated in the maintenance manual.

Not my decision, just tell it like it is.

  • G62-170SA: upgrading RAM

I am trying to upgrade the RAM on a laptop, G62-107SA and encounters an obstacle, which I was wondering if anyone could help with!

The laptop comes with 2 x 1 GB RAM and after watching the machine manual, determined that it can hold up to 8 GB (once again, checked with the Crucial memory scanner).  Therefore, bought 2 x 4 GB cards (Crucial and same features as advised).

Installed fine memory, start the computer up through the BIOS and try to load Windows (64-bit v7), but fails.  It gives the screen of Windows recovery with two options: use Windows recovery files or Start computer normally - recognizing a recent software / hardware changes may be to blame.

Both options fall into the computer in a loop back to the screen.

I grew up the menu of the BIOS by pressing "Esc" on the hp and F8 screen.  Both of these find memory and state that 8 Gb is present - works which suggest the RAM seated correctly.

I have read a few snippets on the forums here and on the web suggesting the BIOS can must update - the laptop is currently on F.07 (2010-10-02).

Can anyone provide any help at all?

    Thank you

    Stuart

Crucial is usually quite good, but I noticed they recommend DDR3-1600 for laptops that they shouldn't do. At least if you buy it at home they will stand behind it.

  • G62 GPU Upgrade

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the time I could install a graphics card dedicated, like Nvidia or ATi on my laptop instead of my intel integrated HD graphics card

My model is the HP G62-451SA notebook PC

    Hello

I'm sorry to say that it is not really possible.  In a notebook, even dedicated ' cards' are physically soldered to the motherboard in the same way as your chip Intel.  Also the Bios has a "white list" of authorized equipment and will refuse to start if another device not on this list has been detected.

    Kind regards

  • Upgrade of Ram 62 G

    Hey guys,.

First time here, I have a G62 series laptop.

It has the AMD Athlon II P340 Dual core 2.2 GHz and 500 GB HARD drive

I had my computer action od for a while for various reasons, I'm sure that when I bought it had 4 GB of RAM, now he says he has only 3 GB and I have a significant speed difference.

I wanted to update my RAM anyway, so, how can I make sure I get the right type and find the max RAM limit

Thank you very much for the advice given.

    Hello

The following link shows the specifications of ORIGIN of your machine (it's a laptop G62-b27SA):

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02544051

    It has only 3 GB: '3 GB of DDR3 (1 x 1024 MB + 1 x 2048 MB) memory ' and 'supports up to 4 GB memory DDR3.

and also on the following link:

    http://www.crucial.com/upgrade/HP+-+Compaq-memory/HP+G6xx+series/HP+G62-b27SA-upgrades.html

Looks like you don't have many options at all, just throw away the key 1 GB and buy the key from 2 GB to 4 GB.

    Kind regards.

Hey, my names Tom and I'm new to this forum.

I have a 2 HP G62-451sa bought new years. I discovered that my use of physical memory is extremely high (80-90%) of the 3 GB of Ram (1 GB + 2 GB) I have. I have a 64-bit windows, and I'm looking for RAM upgrades. Can I switch to 8 GB (2 x 4 GB)? and if so where can I buy those replacements of 4 GB of ram for my model because I have found none to my computer through to look at many sites such as crucial.com etc... But what can I use other upgrades of RAM for notebooks G62 like G62-450sa?

    Thank you

    Tom

    Hi, Tom:

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02542455.PDF

Chapter 1 page 1-1 provides the memory upgrade information (Yes, you can install 2 x 4 GB of PC3-8500 memory or 10600).

Just make sure you get chips with 8 black memories of each side of the Board.

Unless you live in the United States, I know not what brands are available in other countries or where you can buy them.
