HP G62: Win 10 Activation

I had my G62 aeveral Win 7 consecutive years. I tried several times to use the upgrade of auotomatic to win 10 by clicking on the in the bottom toolbar, it just would never work and always restored my Win 7!

Then I created a USB Win 10 and a cleaning set that worked. However, it is not enabled, when I try to use my Win 7 product key it gives an error 0 x 80041204. I contacted Microsoft Support and they say that the key is blocked because it is an OEM Win 7, I need to contact the provider.

Help, please.

This is because Belarc advisor usually doesn't state what it finds in the registry - and it worked for me, because, at the time, I was running always Win7, with the original product key still in the registry.

For future use, please bookmark this tool to find the OEM product keys: Showkey - Windows 10 Forums

Good luck

    Dear community,

I bought a PC to my company and he was provided with a license OEM WIN 7.
Many update was delivered and installed and, after that, Windows began to display the message "this copy of windows is not genuine".

I made contact with the provider, he did a remote access and the message stopped to appear.
How can I be sure that it has enabled my WIN 7 in the right way?

To analyze and solve problems for Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the diagnostic report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to the desktop -http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once downloaded, run the tool.
Click on the button continue, after a short time, continue button will change to a copy button.
Click the copy button in the tool (ignore the error at this stage) and then paste (with r-click and paste or Ctrl + V) in your message.
  • Win 7 activation problem

    Location:

I have a Win 7 license professional I received, University site Microsoft Dreamspark, a few years ago. I downloaded the ISO, he engraved on a DVD and installed using the license on a Toshiba Satellite laptop. Everything worked well until the end of last month, when I started having windows pop up stating that my copy of Windows was not authentic. A check with the Panel of the system said that, Yes, he thought that my license was not activated; an attempt to validate the license indicated again that the license was not valid... but then another control with system showed the small "Genuine Microsoft" blue badge was back, and the pop up went away... until a few days later, when she came back. And he went away again. And came back. And I called Support (or not) of Microsoft, who told me that the license key, I had was for Windows 7 Enterprise. It was more interesting, given that I had printed out my receipt to Dreamspark to PDF and was looking directly at the PDF file (which is how I knew what was the license key) and PDF certainly showed Windows 7 Professional, no business, and the System applet also shows Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, not. Given that:

1 it worked under Win 7 Pro for literally years

2 I don't have the little thing to win 10 invite in the taskbar

3 the problem doesn't appear when the small win 10 invite thingie would have been installed

4 I have not changed my system, nor that I gave my license key

I suspect that someone at Microsoft has upgraded all "volume license" licenses, including licenses Windows 7 Pro from Dreamspark for Win 7 Enterprise as part of the prospect of winning 10.

How can I get Microsoft to admit that it is Windows 7 Pro, no Win 7 Ent? The Toshiba is an old L305 Satellite with 3 GB of RAM and will never become win 10. Never. I don't want to on this computer. I don't want to continue to be able to use Windows 7 without problem. It comes with Vista, and without any OS installation media, so it would be difficult to return to the expedition at this late date operating system. And I want to win 8 on this machine. And I'm not going to purchase a new license just because Microsoft screwed up and refuses to fix it. Assuming, that is, that I could get a Win 7 license at this late date.

    (1) the facility is NOT a volume - and no NOT business license.

    (2) it is completely authentic, but it's a fairly common problem.

When was the last time you were able to update?

This may simply be caused by a bad set of drivers of technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology-

    Intel rapid storage driver installation

try to download and install them from here - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=22194

(you want the download of iata_enu.exe)

Once complete, please restart twice, then after another MGADiag report.

  • FIXED - win 7 activation does not - paste of mgadiag

PC OEM original with 8 victory.  didn't like it.  downgraded to win 7.

somewhere in all the relocations, I upgraded my bios and add additional hard disks.

I used a vbs script to save my prod id, and it is indeed what is in the output of mgadiag.

So I have my real prod (I hope). ID, it just will not work.

    FIXED.

    !!

Long story short - with the help of a BIOS directly from the manufacturer of mobo watered my pc Windows activation provided by an OEM, because it does not contain my OEM SLIC table.  OEM (Microcenter/PowerSpec) provides the pc with a "tattooed BIOS' so that the OEM SLP license activates.  If microcenter had BIOS available on their website for my model, I never would have gone direct to ASRock in the first place (and I would have been able to fix myself a lot earlier in second place).

(Additional hard disks had nothing to do with it.)

    !!

This is for anyone with the same issue.

The last person who actually any help was the guy from support at Microcenter (which makes PowerSpec pcs brand) email and chat.  My answer by e-mail and through him (not Andre) is pasted below.  All relevant information is there.

OK so maybe I was not so familiar with the new Manager technical Windows activation licenses, technology and terminology at the beginning, but of course I got an education on all of it.  Sorry for all the hiking, but I hope all the details to help others.

Start pasting the response by e-mail to Microcenter here:

    +++++++++++++++++++++

    Thank you for your help.
I solved my problem on my own.  (My problem is that Windows had become disabled and he wouldn't reactivate.)

I'll tell you what I've done in detail more away, but to shorten a long history, if we could have a BIOS provided by Microcenter/PowerSpec, it would have been set.

Although the information on the link (http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/10950-howto-Enable-the-quot-activate-by-phone-quot-option) you have provided me helped me to get Windows to generate the Installation ID of 54 numbers required by the operator to activate phone, the operator says that my number is not correct, or not able to produce an activation.  He went up to tell me that my copy of Windows was probably wrong, and even if this is not the process of false statement would eventually lead the OEM to rectify my situation.  Looked like BS to me, but I must admit I was desperate and I only started the process.  However, I received an email on the next steps that included to Microsoft Windows installation (with no possibility for their return) disc, and I gave up this process.

Which leads me to my solution were other threads at http://forums.mydigitallife.info/.
It turns out that my SLIC table was blown as indicated in the output of MGADiag.exe ("' BIOS valid for OA 2.0: Yes, but no SLIC table '").  It must have happened when I installed a new downloaded BIOS from ASRock (motherboard) site.  Without the SLIC table, Windows would not be triggered.  (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SLIC_table#SLIC).

Fortunately for me, I had an another PowerSpec pc at home and was so able to use tools referenced in other threads threads at http://forums.mydigitallife.info/ to make a dump of his table SLIC 374 bytes, save it and then "tattoo" the own ASRock BIOS with SLIC table and reinstall.  The process is not for the heart hearts and is widely used to activate the illegal installations of Windows.  The tools to do this have been quarantined by Norton Antivirus, but I was able to restore and create exceptions for them.

When we were on the phone, we had suspected that get a BIOS from microcenter/PowerSpec would probably fix me, but you had no way to get a.  There is no BIOS available on your Web sites, and you do not have to send me.  The reason why I installed a new BIOS has been first place because the version of the box was real old - version 1.x (don't remember exactly) compared to the current 2.7.  If you do not have the current versions of BIOS PowerSpec-tattooed, you must at least have the old versions available.  A lot of people will do what I did because they want a BIOS update.  Then, they will have to revert to an old version again to reactivate.

When you asked your people how correct me, you were told that I have to take the pc to a store of the microcenter so that they can re - insert the SLIC table.  Although I realize now, all this means is a tattooed by the OEM BIOS, so that the OEM Activation automatic system works (OA 2.0 I think).  Store all they did is install a BIOS PowerSpec-tattooed appropriate.  I should be able to download it to me or you should be able to send me a.

I had saved my Windows product key originally using a VB script provided by Microsoft before the upgrade of the thought of my BIOS, it's everything I need.  I didn't know that there are no stickers COST more.  It turns out that the product key is an OEM key (sort of a volume key) and not a unique key.  It is known as a SLP (System Locked Pre-installation) license key.  Attempt to 'Enter a different product key' did not work with my product key real because OEM SLP keys HAVE even triggered by using the BIOS SLIC-tattooed OEM (and other factors for example a certificate).  You can not force the activation over the internet without a corresponding valid SLIC table (the error will mean key invalid or already in use) and the activation of the phone does not work either.  That's why the phone option - enable is not present on the OEM SLP installations when you do 'slui 4.  As far as I can tell (I may be wrong on this), a pc OEM SLP license seems triggered without the need for connection (internet or phone).  If he never 'phone home' it will probably only to point out that it is already enabled.

A symptom to look for in the future with other customers: when the pc was new out-of-the-box, the BIOS flashed a PowerSpec logo during start-up.  After the flash of own BIOS non-PowerSpec-tattooed ASRock, the logo was ASRock.  After restoring the SLIC table in BIOS (tattoo), PowerSpec logo was back.

I hope that all this hike detail will help you and future customers.

I want to reiterate that have the BIOS available on your Web site would let me (US) more quickly resolve my problem.

  • How can I transfer win 8 activation from one PC to another?

How to transfer an activation Win 8 Pro (upgrade) from one system to another? I tried to win 8 on an old PC and when I was happy with it, I uninstalled from there and then installed on my new PC. Although Windows has accepted my product key during installation, it would not activate me with him saying that he had already been activated on another machine. Can you help me?

First, you need to remove the computer, he is currently installed, this means that you must format the disk or reinstall the previous version of Windows. You are then free to use the key on the other computer. You may need to reactivate by phone:

You can download it from there and use your product key to upgrade:

    See:

    Activation of the phone:

    1. press the Windows key + X , and then click run, and then type: slui.exe 4

    2. then press the ENTER"" key.

    3. Select your "country" in the list.

    4. choose the option "activate phone".

    5. stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    6. explain your problem clearly to the support person.

  • bad product for Win XP activation key

Hello everyone that my wife was trying to buy me and my son a computer laptop and desktop and like all ladys a crook told him. not only it took him to many but installed burned copy of win xp on both. So im asking where can I buy 2 new product keys or reasonably win xp disk not used please

The sale of Windows XP has been stopped (22 October 2010). Any version of XP remaining (from a reputable supplier) may be way over priced.

You absolutely need XP or Vista/Windows 7 will be acceptable.

Office 2010 does not work.  Help, please.

    Greg.

Thanks for all your interest. I tried to recreate the licenses without result.  I tried re-allocated files from the DVD of recovery than a couple of times, but when even could not fix.  I ended up recovering a backup system and all is good again. Proves once again that the backups can save time and anguish.

  • Win 8 activation problem with a clean istall the new hard disk

GET THE ERROR MSG THIS PRODUCT KEY IS UPGRADE. IT IS SOMETHING THAT THEY COULD NOT ADVERTISE

In order to install Windows 8 Pro upgrade, you must first reinstall your original version of Windows that has been run on your computer before installing the Windows 8 Preview version. If it's (Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7). After installing it, you can then do a upgrade to Windows 8 Pro. The output preview Windows 8 does not support upgrades to Windows 8 Pro.

Try activating the phone and see if it works, otherwise, you will just have to reinstall a release candidate and try again:

    1. press the Windows key + X , and then click run, and then type: slui.exe 4

    2. then press the ENTER"" key.

    3. Select your "country" in the list.

    4. choose the option "activate phone".

    5. stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    6. explain your problem clearly to the support person.

  • After reinstalling Win 7 activation

I recently updated my motherboard and processor, and everything seems to work fine, until Windows failed to start correctly. I restored the computer to the factory, which was provided to me by some HP software. It was about a month ago. Now I'm told by Microsoft/Windows that my copy of Win7 is not valid, but there is no mention of this when I had finished restoring windows default HP. Is that what I can do, not buy Win7?

    Thank you

    Matthew

    Hello

Please call Microsoft and explain the situation, they will sort this out for you:

    Kind regards.

  • Worked with activation, then disappeared, in Win 7 under VirtualBox

I have a XPS 13 22 Linux Fedora running. Win 7 is installed as a guest under VirtualBox operating system. 2013 office is installed.

I implemented this successfully and activated Windows 7 and Office 2013 a month ago. Win 7 activation was not automatic - I had to do the dance with the activation window and typing in sets of 7-8 to 6-digit to another set of numbers to enable. But it worked. Activation Office 2013 is automatic as soon as the entry of the product key.

Can I not open Win 7 for a while. When I did, I went to set up Outlook, and before I could see my mail, it says that Outlook has not been activated. I clicked on the link for automatic activation, who worked.

Then, Windows said "this copy is not genuine" and asked me to turn it on! So I did the dance once again, and it worked.

What the devil? Will it stick this time? What did I not do, or hurt?

    Thank you

    Matt

It seems that something with the State of the virtual machine is being modified. Made more changes to your installation of Fedora Linux? Uninstalled and reinstalled the Virtual Machine by chance?

Are these copies of Windows 7 and Office 2013 volume license or retail licenses?

Please run the Microsoft Genuine Diagnostics Tool then copy and paste the results into an answer here for further analysis:

  • Pavilion slimline s5-1015uk: Cyberlink

After upgrade my PC to windows 10 (new installation), I lost all the Cyberlink software. Where from can I reinstall this software?

    Thank you.

    Greetings,

A clean install without saving the SWSETUP folder on the original operating system installation has been made by you.

HP does not always provide all the software downloads for the operating system (OS) of origin. CyberLink is one of these not provided here on your PC software and driver download site.

Win 10 active? If not, you will need to go through the process again anyway.

You need the SWSETUP folder created on the Win 7 OS or Win 8.x update you did before moving to Win 10... This record contains all software provided by HP from the factory. CyberLink has probably provided updates if you went from Win 7 to 8.1 Win.

Unless you can find the original (Power DVD and Power to Go) Cyberlink software, you may need to configure the PC back to the factory back up the Win 7 SWSETUP folder and then reinstall Win 10.
