HP laptop 15-E037CL: hp 15-E037CL laptop keyboard problems

I have a hp laptop 15-E037CL and the keyboard is often insensitive and only some of the keys worked so we ordered a new and installed it when first of all, we put the new one in all the keys worked, but after a day it is only some keys work just like the old one. This computer has been cleared and reloaded and upgraded to Windows 10, we updated the bios and checked the support boards, but now I'm outta ideas. Does anyone have other ideas?

HP laptop 15-E037CL

Operating system Windows 10

8 GB Ram

All fixed, I took it out after watching a video on youtube on how to install the keyboard just incase I missed something. He was missing the little plastic stand that pivots up and down to maintain one of the pins and the Ribbon is folded out of wack. shook the computer until the plastic piece is out and put it back into straightened the PIN now it runs like a champ.

I can't be sure of course, but it sounds more like a hardware problem than a Windows. Contact Dell.

    No idea how to fix?

I would say to remove keyboard and disconnect the ribbon cable from the connector on the system board. And reconnect carefully.

Follow the manual of Maintenance of equipment below:

If it will not help the only decision I see to contact officcial Service Center for the exchange of keyboard. With the exception of the temporary solution - remap keys.

  • G61 laptop keyboard problem - functions replacing does not properly

I had a problem with my notebook G61 since the day wherever I got it almost a year and a half.

Like a fool, I put with it up to now that it is out of warranty, but she finally got me aggravated to the point where it is either fix it, or throw the danged through the wall thing.

The keys of this system have several functions like virtually every keyboard, and this one has a number of keys with blue alternative functions.

My problem is that these substitute functions will be activated spontaneously, I guess by me when I inadvertently hit two keys at once and turn them on, but I was never able to find the combination to toggle them.

"When they are active, I lose the function of principle of these keys, such as?, @, ', etc, and I can't create documents until I reboot, of course to lose the document to the activities.

There is not even a mention of the blue replacement functions in the laughable excuse for a manual that comes with the box, nor have I could find no reference to them on the site of 'Support' HP.

I was pathetically grateful if someone could tell me please what keys activate and deactivate blue replacement key functions.

    Thank you!

    I have an answer!

I spoke with someone at HP Support today, and that's pretty much exactly what I thought.

I was inadvertently hit a keystroke that activates the blue keys.

The combination of keys is "Ctrl + left shift + right SHIFT", which turns on and the blue of the keys... Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee etc.

    Strike again and you get your appropriate keys, /? / ? / ? / ? "" "", etc., return.

    Woo Hoo!

Sometimes, when I booted my computer a few keys alphabet such as r, o, m (seemingly random keys) do not respond. This problem started with my arrow keys but since moved other keys. I tried to reset my PC that did not help much, so I uninstalled the keyboard driver via the thinking Device Manager I easily find a nd downlaoad and install new drivers from HP support or elsewhere. So the problem, I could not find the drivers for my computer, I searched for the last 2 days and I am always unsuccessful and very frustrated, I can't use my keyboard and now I do all my typing via the on screen keyboard, very taxing to say the least. my laptop keyboard is not working. His pavilion G6 2228TU model please help me.

    Hello

This could be a hardware problem, but it is always worth trying the following.

Open windows control panel, open Device Manager, expand keyboards, "Standard PS/2 Keyboard" right click and select uninstall.

When you are finished, stop the laptop - if you're running Windows 8 or 8.1, do it by holding down the button SHIFT left click Shutdown to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot.

Then disconnect the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

    Kind regards

  • Laptop keyboard not working not

My laptop keyboard finally quit, and I can not connect after that it resets the last time. The vowels are not working so I can't sign into Windows to my docs or anything like that!  What I have to reinstall Windows, and if so, will I lose all of my docs, photos, etc.?  My last backup was some time ago and I know that it doesn't have some of the things that I need.  For some reason any just vowels do not work, and I have vowels in my password.  Unfortunately, I just had the Mac and did not transfer all I need my laptop again.

  • laptop keyboard outputs incorrect strikes after unplugging the usb keyboard.

I use a laptop Twinhead on which I plugged a Microsoft Natural keyboard for a while. Now when I did start, the laptop keyboard hit mixed-up and incorrect. I tried updating the driver, but it seems difficult that bing can't seem to get the - numbers - update. I noticed to form this forum that people have had a similar problem with connect a keyboard external usb. the solution was to press Fn + numberlock. It worked. Should I seriously to do forever when I use the keyboard of the laptop instead of a usb keyboard? There must be a good way to solve this problem, not a workaround solution.

USB keyboard will automatically use a HID Driver and the driver disappears when I unplug it. The laptop keyboard still does not properly.

I would probably uninstall the keyboard through Control Panel > system > hardware > device driver. Then right-click on the keyboard and uninstall it. Make a hard re-boot, then use the restore disc provided with most computers to re - install your keyboard.
