HP LaserJet 4050: Error printing on HP Laserjet 4050 and 4100 Windows R2 2012

We have recently migrated our Windows Server 2003 environment to Windows Server R2 2012.  Some of our printers, specifically HP Laserjet 4050 and 4100 no longer work with Server R2 2012, even if we downloaded the drivers for Windows R2 2012 from the Internet HP site and made sure the printer was using the new driver from HP.  When you try to print from the server or terminal connection, we get a "printing error" in the status field in the queue.  We do not know what to do to get these printers to print.  We have several of them and redirect users to print to another printer which is further so they can print.

Do you have any suggestions?

Best regards

Paul

If you cannot print from the server, then on the server, the parameters must be incorrect.  You can even ping the printers on the server?  Since you have more than 1 printer with this problem I doubt that all the printers hp all wrong.  Something else in the way that you configure these printers must be the issue.  If you can ping and also access the web server, then I think you have problems with active directory.  If you can not ping so perhaps have changed the ip addresses or the road you take these ip address has changed.

I have a HP laserjet IIIP printer and use windows Vista premium edition.  I used to be able to print fine, then one day could not.  I can print a test page for the printer, but I get an "error" in the Print Manager on the docs, I try to print from the PC.  I tried to restart, unplug, check for bad drivers, checked all cables, etc.  Any ideas?

    Hello

Please uninstall the printer driver from the Device Manager and the Add/Remove programs. After this try to install it again.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/283658

LaserJet IIIP drivers are available through Windows Update.  Go to start, devices and printers, adding a printer, select the appropriate port, and then click Windows Update.  After a few minutes, the list will repopulate, then select HP (Hewlett-Packard not) and select the appropriate driver.  Note that you need a suitable driver for your cable USB / parallel.

  • Cannot print from Internet Explorer 11 using HP LaserJet 200 color on Windows 7

Who would be able to help me?

When I want to print using Internet Explorer 11 on a Windows 7 PC, I can select Preview before printing, but when I actually want to print, it gives the error:

"There was an internal error and Internet Explorer is unable to print this document."

This error only occurs when the 200 HP LaserJet color is selected.

I am able to print on our other HP printers, like the HP Color LaserJet CM4540 multifunction printers.

I am also able to print on a printer using Chrome.

If the problem seems to be related to Internet Explorer 11 in combination with 200 HP LaserJet color.

I tried the 'standard' measures to resolve the issue, such as:

    1. disable Internet Explorer Protected Mode

    2. the value Internet Explorer default browser

3 re-create the missing bass folder and define the level of integrity

    4. start Internet Explorer as an administrator

This does not resolve the issue.

    Please notify. Thanks in advance.

It is a problem with IE 11 on Windows 7 systems with no fix yet against MS.

  • I have a HP LaserJet 4345 and I get an EIO Error 80.0088. Clues? hard drive?

    Hi all

I have a HP LaserJet 4345 and I get an EIO Error 80.0088. This could be just a hard drive error?

    Thank you all who responded.

EIO 80 errors point to a jetdirect question. I believe that all of the 4345 established the network so it can point to a bad trainer.  If the device has a record live map jet, you can simply replace.

If you can access the configuration page print it to see if the ip address is correct.

I would like to try, then a cold reboot which will reset all functions return printers factory, including your IP info so that will have to be reinstalled after the cold reset.

Also take a look at the attached document on the HP jetdirect firmware update.

  • LaserJet MFP M277dw Pro: Windows installs its own printer driver after failure of wireless printer, print

It is a problem really bizzare, I will try to explain as clearly as possible what happened:

    • I have 277dw LaserJet MFP Pro, which is connected to my PC via wireless network. I installed the drivers from HP and everything worked as a watch movement - printing and scanning.
    • Yesterday, the power is out for about 30 minutes. Computer stayed on thanks to UPS, but the printer power loss.
    • Once the power was restored to the printer, printer initialized and I was able to access his page of HTTP status without problems. All the parameters of the printer has persisted. Same IP address. Printer all self-tests pass. However, I have lost the ability to print (printer shows more as an option in the print dialog boxes). Scanner works as usual, save the scan to a network folder.
    • The State of device HP icon has disappeared from the taskbar.
    • A bunch of new entries titled "NPIF7BB8E (MP Color LaserJet MFP M277dw)" appears in the Device Manager. This 'new' device appears in the Device Manager 5 times under different categories of devices (see attached screenshot). In the Event Viewer, I discovered that Windows installed for this device right when the power has been restored to the printer.
    • Under control panel-> hardware and sound-> devices and printers, all devices installed by HP are grayed out and their status is not connected.
    • Restarting the computer does not resolve this issue.

Anyone have any ideas on what is happening here? It's the second time this has happened - I was able to fix the first time by reinstalling the printer drivers. However, I don't want to have to do every time the failure. This looks like a bug in Windows or the drivers.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Most likely your operating system is set to automatically install the drivers, when the lost connection the WPS driver build has been added.

Try these steps and check if that helps:

    1. In Control Panel, select network and Internet.
    2. Open the network and sharing Center.
    3. Search your active network profile, it appears just below the name of the network (for example Private Network, work network)
    4. The side pane select change advanced sharing settings.
    5. In the profile category, uncheck 'automatically enable the configuration of the connected network devices '.
    6. Click on save to confirm.
    7. Devices and printers remove any element M277 printer), as well as Device Manager (remove the two original HP or WPS item, you should see is no longer the M277.)
    8. Once select start > all Apps > HP > HP Laserjet M277 and select the shortcut to reconfigure the device, it can appear as the printer software installation & connect a new printer, etc.

    Hope that helps,

    Shlomi

  • Need printer driver HP laserjet 2100 for a Windows 7-64 bits of the operating system on your laptop Lenovo x 230.

No device driver is available on the HP site.  I have another Lenovo x220i running windows 7 (64-bit) that has loaded a driver laserjet 2100 and fine prints to this old workhorse printer.  I called HP and they are confused.

Hoping to finally put an end to this old question:

    1. don't get no drivers download driver at random sites.  You don't know what you really get and can end up with malware.

    2. many older HP printers, you can use the 'universal' HP driver (LIST OF PRINTERS supported), but I predict that you won't like it - if you can actually get to install.  Personally, I only use the universal driver HP as an absolute last resort.  See the Feature Guide and universal print driver Solution

    Download HP UPD--> http://www8.hp.com/us/en/solutions/business-solutions/printingsolutions/UPD.html?jumpid=af_s73wr2vct6

    3. if HP indicates that you can use the driver supplied with Windows 7, and then follow the advice of happyraver98 and use the "Windows Update" button in the appropriate window in the "Add printer" Wizard

    4. If like happyraver98 you rather not wait long enough time that takes to Windows Update to download print drivers additional, use Internet Explorer (only) and pass to the catalog Microsoft Update to find and download your driver: http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=hp%20laserjet%202100

Important: there are probably 2 or 3 entries that seem to be the same; You must open and determine the 'architecture' for which the driver is intended.

    X 86 = 32 bits

    Amd64 = 64 bit

IA64 = Intel Itanium 64-bit (not very common; for example, used for the XP Pro x 64 edition)

The drivers downloaded from the Microsoft Update Catalog is not as easy to install the drivers from the manufacturer of the printer (HP), is through the Add Printer Wizard.  As a general rule, you will download a *. CAB file.  You then extract the files inside of the *. CAB file using something like 7-zip or WinRAR.  Then run the Add Printer Wizard, click on the 'Disk' button, navigate to the folder where you extracted the contents of the *. CAB file and select the *.inf file.

  • I have trouble to install the printer HP laserjet P2055 on my Windows 7 HP pavilion

I have trouble to install the printer HP laserjet P2055 on my windows 7 HP pavilion

    original title: installation problem

    Local printers

To install a printer, the most common method is to connect directly to your computer. This is known as a local printer.

If your printer is a universal serial (USB) bus model, Windows should automatically detect and install it when you plug it in.

If it is an older model that connects using the serial or parallel, you may need to install manually.

To install the printer (add) a local

    1. Click to open devices and printers.

    2. Click Add a printer.

    3. In the Add Printer Wizard, click Add a local printer.

    4. Choose a printer port page, make sure you use a button existing port and the recommended printer port are selected and then click Next.

    5. On the installation of the printer driver page, select the model and manufacturer of the printer, and then click Next.

      • If your printer is not listed, click Windows Update, and then wait while Windows searches for drivers additional.

      • If none is available and you have the installation CD, click disk, and then navigate to the folder where the printer driver. (For additional guidance, see the printer manual.)

    6. Perform the steps in the wizard and then click Finish.

      Tips

      • You can print a test page to make sure that the printer is working correctly. See print a test page.

      • If you have installed the printer, but it does not work, check the Web site of the manufacturer for troubleshooting driver or updated information.

    My printer does not print.

It is a difficult problem to diagnose because there are many printers on the market and many reasons why it could not work.

First of all, make sure that your printer is turned on and connected to your Windows computer according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Then, try the printer troubleshooter, which will attempt to diagnose and solve your problem automatically.

    Open the printer Troubleshooter

Open the printer Troubleshooter by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooting, and then click Troubleshooting. Under hardware and sound, click on use printer.

    Printer problems:

Then, try to update the printer driver on your computer. Sometimes printer problems come from out-of-date driver software, and can be solved by installing or reinstalling, the latest driver.

To find the latest driver for your printer, first check Windows Update, which is designed to detect the hardware connected to your computer and automatically notify you when new drivers are available:

    1. Click to open Windows Update.

    2. In the left pane, click search for updates, and then wait while Windows searches the latest updates for your computer.

    3. If updates are found, click install updates. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

If you do not see a listed updated printer driver, it is always possible that there are: your printer manufacturer might not have provided to Microsoft yet.

Most printer manufacturers offer updated drivers on the sections of the support of their Web sites. Drivers are typically organized by edition and Windows printing model. When you have found the right driver, install it according to the instructions of the manufacturer. For more information, see update a hardware driver that is not working properly.

If your printer still does not work, see the support section of the website of the manufacturer of your printer for model-specific troubleshooting tips.

  • LaserJet M477: LaserJet M477 prints some lines in italics, and vertical lines must be straight are wavy

    Hello

I just bought my LaserJet M477 a week ago, and I've noticed a few problems print quality:

    • When I print text documents, some lines incorrect impression of italic characters, while the text is not italicized in the source document.  The problem is not random - I can print the same page twice, and it is implemented in italics in the same places.
    • When I print graphics, long straight lines parallel to the direction of the paper path have regular aberrations, light showers in them.  The problem seems to occur at intervals down the page (as if there could be an irregularity in a circular or cylindrical part inside).  I am even noticing the problem when I print the test page "setting of alignment".  In comparison, all the lines that are perpendicular to the paper path are sharp and straight.

Another post on this site suggested a "reset power" to solve a similar problem with the italics, but this does not solve the problem for me.

I've also updated the firmware and drivers and installed/reinstalled the printer, each nothing helps.

The question of italics seems like it might be a software problem, but I fear that the problem of vertical wavy lines might be a mechanical problem.

    Could someone suggest solutions?

    Thank you

    Kevin

    Droms,

I chatted with HP online tech support yesterday, share everything we have discussed here and they concluded that there is a hardware problem with the printer.  They recommended I have share the printer to my point of sale to another unit.  Fortunately, I'm still within 14 days of the back window.  HP has also instructed to give me my case ID to the retailer, probably as license to HP for them to accept the return unit and perhaps to help diagnose the unit once the logistics team sent back to HP.

BTW, HP examined our whole conversation here thread, and the thought of a problem with the Starter toner cartridges never came.

You can continue a similar conversation with the HP technical support.  I'd hate to see that you stuck with a defective printer.

Thanks for your comments, and I hope that you are able to get an acceptable resolution.

    Kevin
