  This seems to be a known issue. There is an internal knowledge base documenting this problem and a potential solution.

  The solution according to the KB article:

  "This problem can occur when a previous jury has been mapped to the host machine. The NIMtnSvr.exe is based on the ID Board and sometimes gets stuck. To resolve this problem, close any software OR run, and then open the Task Manager and end the process of NIMtnSvr.exe. This will disable the server and allow it to start again, the next time that it runs. When you open MAX, the boards will be displayed on the local host that is mapped correctly. »

  I understand your annoyance that you cannot update the driver hub USB rot. Please follow the steps below to help you to solve the problem.

  I would like to inform you that a Code 28 error is caused by a driver missing for that piece of hardware.

  There are all sorts of reasons that a driver could not be installed for a device, but your troubleshooting the problem will be the same regardless of the root cause.

  • Remove or reconfigure newly installed unit.
  • Restore the version before your driver update.
  • Use system restore to undo recent changes in Device Manager.

  However, what I would like to try in this situation is either:

  (a) host Based pilot PnP for 2 k 3

  -Download the pilot PnP (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=bi-55240-6&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=1005&product=3435668&sw_lang=) based host to Server 2 k 3.

  -Use a program such as 7zip to extract the exe files.

  -Install the printer pointing to the .inf

  or,
