HP LaserJet P1102W long delay between pages with narrow (4 "wide) paper stock

I use Adobe Acrobat Reader X (on Windows XP) to print a page 100 PDF on HP P1102W, with 4 "wide x 11" long paper in the main tray.  There is a delay of approximately 15 seconds between pages.  As soon as I share the narrow paper for regular 8.5 "x 11", the printer takes the job at normal speed.  The PDF itself has a page PDF 4 "x 11" size.

I tried implementing a custom 4 "x 11" paper size in the print preferences and setting the paper type to envelope, but nothing done.

I tested with 5.5 "wide and 7.5" wide paper stock, and they have the same 15 second delay.  As soon as I put 8.5 "wide stock in the status bar, the printer goes back to full speed.

Note that even with the thin paper stock, the first page of the job prints immediately.  The delay occurs between page 1 and 2, 2 and 3, etc.  So it seems strange that the printer does not have the 'calibration' delay before printing the first page, it delays only on the following pages.

    Hi @Kaiser3107,

Welcome to the HP Support forum.

I understand that you have a HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer that connects three thin devices via the USB port, but you can not perform a wireless installation on a fourth device, equipped of Windows Vista 32-bit, because the PC does not detect the printer via the USB port. I would like to help with that.

  • HP LaserJet P1102w: Windows 8.1 - run two different USB connected P1102w printers with simple shortcut on the desktop?

I am trying to set up a single laptop Windows 8.1 for someone who uses it according to the seasons in two locations (FL and MY). I installed a HP LaserJet P1102w printer in each location. I wish I had a printer that is connected USB (one at a time will be connected) able to access in an only menu icon Office or file print command.

When you add the second printer, Windows8.1 recocognized, the driver is already installed, he apparently recognizes the different addresses MAC and/or numbers of series of different printers and present second printer on the page devices and printers in Control Panel or allow a second printer on the desktop icon.  The only way to tell apart printers is that one is listed as a Hewlett-Packard LaserJet P1102w and the other is listed as a HP LaserJet P1102w. It is rather confusing to the elderly person who will be using the laptop.

Is it possible to have the mobile exploit any printer is connected both by means of a simple print command or icon? Maybe by connecting via a WSD Port Monitor?

    Hey @dmwaters138,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you do not want to have two HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer operation via USB Wired on 1 single machine with a single order of printing or the icon. I would like to help you with the configuration of this option today. Because there are two distinct Laserjet on Windows 8.1 computer printers, to do two icons impression for various devices. The best way to tell the difference between the two devices is to rename printers. Thus, when the client goes in file and print in the print dialog window, simply choose the printer name that corresponds with the device they want to print to. You can rename printers all you want. Install printers on the WSD Port wireless network would give the same result of having two copies of the printer is installed on the computer. One thing I see, is that the name of the HP Laserjet Printer is unusual. It seems that your printers may be using the built in Windows drivers, rather than the HP Full Feature driver package for the device. This may cause printing conflicts in the future. Can I please you follow the steps below to set up and install both LaserJet HP correctly.

    Step 1: Remove the drivers:

It is crucial that your HP LaserJet are using the correct HP driver package. So I'll have you remove two copies of your HP Laserjet of the computer. Please make sure that the USB cables are connected.

Once this copy is a party, please right click on the HP Laserjet P1102w and select 'remove device' for this one as well. After have removed two copies of the Laserjet please close devices and printers.
    4. Then, on the Start screen type programs and features. Click on programs and features to launch the window
    5. Scroll the list of programs and find the HP Laserjet driver package. If you see the HP Laserjet printers select Uninstall. Please follow the prompts on the screen to complete the uninstallation. Once the uninstall is complete, please close programs and features and continue to the next step.

    Step 2: Remove temporary files:

    1. Open the screen, Start by selecting the Windows icon at the bottom left of the computer screen or by selecting the Windows key bottom left of the keyboard, to the right of the Ctrl key
    2. In the start screen, type run. Click on Run to launch the run dialogue box

    4. When the Temp folder opens, select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboard. Everything in this folder will highlight now.
    5. Select the "delete" button on your keyboard. The Temp folder contains the temporary internet files. None of the actual files or folders on your computer will be affected by deleting Temp files. A Temp file should you will automatically get the pop up to 'jump' this point.
    6. Close the Temp folder when it is empty
    7. Right-click the recycling bin on your desktop and select empty recycling bin. Please proceed to the next step.

    Step 3: Install devices:

    1. Please leave unplugged USB cables

    2. Please click here to download the package full feature software and driver for the HP Laserjet Printer

    3. when the download is complete, please follow the instructions on the screen to install the first Laserjet. Make sure you select the 'install the printer software ' tab connect the USB cable only when the installation window prompts to.

8 open the Start screen again. This time, type run. Click on Run to launch the run dialogue box.

    9. in the run box type %temp% , and then click OK. The Temp folder is now open

    10. in the Temp folder to locate the 7z... file. Click this folder to open it. This is the HP Installer package for HP Laserjet printers. Scroll to the bottom of this file and double left click on the P1100_P1560_P1600.exe driver package. The installation program will now open.

  • LaserJet p1102w: how to access the interface web printer with new router

I just bought a new wireless router, hoping that I'll be able to more easily print with my p1102w.

Internet access works ok desktop and laptop (wireless).

However, I had bookmarked the IP address of my printer, and before, I've always been able to access it by clicking on the bookmark. I checked the range of IP addresses for the router, and the IP of the printer is outside this range, so I don't know why I am no longer able to access to this. I can't access the web interface, whether they come from my laptop or desktop (wired). However, the printer is capable of printing from the desktop without problem.

How do I enter this? I would like to restart the configuration wireless configuration, but I thought I needed the web interface for this.

I should just insert the CD? I made a tweak or two and would prefer to keep all the settings of the printer even if I can, but I can start all over again if I have to.

I just deleted the printer on my laptop computer, reset the settings of the printer default and then run Setup from the wired desktop wireless utility wireless. Seems to have worked, I can now access the web interface via my laptop now.

  • LaserJet P1102w: Address in the wrong place on the envelope of 6 3/4 with LaserJet P1102W

When I print 6 3/4 envelopes in Word since my Windows 7 64-bit system to a new LaserJet P1102w address is correctly centered from top to bottom, but it is so far to the left half of the address is cut off from the envelope. The same settings printed correctly with my old HP LaserJet 1022nw printer.  Can HPW I fix?

Bear with me a moment... My printer is a different model than yours, but here's what I discovered. Firstly a bit of background. My old HP B209 printer would print envelopes card without problem, but when I started using my printer HP Photosmart 6520, it would just spit in the envelope without printing the addresses, even if I chose an envelope of greeting card in the printer properties. HP could not solve my problem and other sources on the HP Forum said that HP just made a blunder in designing is not the printer to print envelopes of greeting cards.

Finally after a year or two, a member of the HP Forum suggested I have try select the C5 envelope in printer properties and that is, the envelope printed however; the address printed back ok but send it to the address has been out of the envelope with only a partial address display. For some unknown reason, I selected 'options' on the printout of the envelope (a feature I've ever used) and learned that I could work out where the return address and send it to the address were located on the page. When you click the 'Options' button you can adjust the situation where each address appears on the page. You change the 'top' and 'left' numbers you can watch address icons (which appear as straight lines) are moving on the envelope. Pass each address around there where you want it and then try to print the envelope. If each address is too right or too far left or should be raised or lowered just play with the settings until the addresses where you want. Write your settings on a piece of paper and stick it on the side of your computer tower or someother convenient place so you can store these settings in the future.

Now... don't forget to change the envelope size to the default envelope size you are using in general. I always use a #10 envelope business for my personal correspondence. Otherwise, the next time you go to print a standard envelope (what size is that you are using) the parameters will always be in place for the envelope of 6 3/4 that you use and addresses does not print correctly. You will not need to change the settings of your default envelope size because it will always go to the value by default (unless you change it) hope this solution works for you.

  • Horizontal line going through random pages printed by LaserJet P1102w

From time to time, I see my P1102w print pages with a small horizontal stripe. This happens only on a single page (not the one just before or just after). I looked in the manual and don't see in the troubleshooting section.

I just changed a new toner, and after 75 pages or more, I have yet to see this horizontal line randomly. It was printing on pages 5 to 8 or more, then it is a fairly representative sample.

  • HP LaserJet P1102w worked very well and now just print 1st page of multi-page documents

Hi, I used my printer for more than 6 months.

Last month, has had the problem for a couple of days, then he went suddenly (yahoo, I thought).

Has started again last night when printing pdf documents, it only prints the first page and then it seems stuck on page 2 (52% complete transfer appears on the windows printer).  For word, it seems to just take forever to print other pages...

Running on a Mac OX X Yosemite.  Printer is connected with a wire (I was never able to complete the wireless connection and got too busy to spend more time understanding...).

Tried to turn off my computer and then restarting him.  Also stop the printer and restarted.

    Hi @MartineRB ,

I see you are having problems printing multi-page documents. I would like to help.

Fix permissions of the drive on the Mac:

    Close all applications.

In the Apple menu, click OK, click Applications, and then click utilities.

    Double-click disk utility.

Highlight your hard drive / partition on the left.

Click on check and then repair disk permissions.

    Restart the computer...

    Reset the printing system:

Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer deleted can be re-added later by clicking the sign plus (+) symbol.

Click on the Apple icon and then click on System Preferences.

    Click on Printers & Scanners.

Make a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left white side panel, and then click Reset printing system.

Click OK to confirm the reset.

Type the name and the correct password.

Click OK to reset the printing system.

Then click on the sign to add the driver, highlight the printer +. (you may need to click the drop down menu to select the printer name) Then click the Add button.

    Try to print again.

If you are able to print now by the USB connection and want to set up the printer on the wireless network, take a look at the following:

Restore the default settings of the printer.

Turn the printer off, press and hold the wireless button and the Cancel (x button) button while turning the printer on and do not release both buttons until the printer stops making the noise.

Print a configuration report and check the SSID address and IP are disabled.
Printing a Configuration Page. Select the method two.

Make sure that Safari is set as default browser. Sometimes, the built-in Web server will not open if it is not.

Open Safari, at the top, select the Safari menu, select Preferences, general, as a default value.

Here's a Youtube video of the Laserjet P1102w on Maverick wireless installation.

    LaserJet P1102w.

You can follow the steps instead of the video.

You must connect the USB cable from the printer to the computer to install the printer as a USB device first and then to configure the wireless network.

Turn on the printer, connect the USB cable and install the update from Apple that should load automatically.

Then go to the Apple, system preferences, printers and Scanners.

Highlight the Laserjet on the left side of the window.

Then click Open Print Queue, click settings, click utility, click open printer utility, then click the button HTML Config.

The integrated for the printer Web server opens.

Click on the network tab, select Wireless on the left side.

Fill in the information for your network. Status make sure that you select enabled.

    Apply the settings.

Then go back to the Apple preferences system, printers, and Scanners and click the + to add the Hello Laserjet Printer. (may take a few minutes to appear) Make sure that the printer is listed beside the use: displays the name of the correct printer and not the driver by default, and then click the Add button.

Remove the USB printer in the list of printers and Scanners window.

    Unplug the USB cable.

    Test the printer.

If you need help, let me know.

    Good day!
    Thank you.

  • BD menu with transitions between pages?

    Hello

For example, let's say I have a second video 21 for my menus. Page 1 I want the video loop of the second point at the 10 second point 5. So if I select page 2 the video should play 10 seconds to 11 seconds and then a loop from 11 seconds to 21 seconds. If I select the first page that still would play the video of 21 seconds to 22 seconds then a loop from 5 seconds to 10 seconds.

    Hi all

Here are answers to your questions for me hopefully:

I have attached the test project again and is active and the After Effects project that created assets: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19880923/BD_Menu_Test.zip

Link to assets when / if prompted.

The workflow that I use is:

    1. create motion menus in After Effects.

    2 make out like H.264 Blu-ray/MPEG2 Blu - ray. *.

3 button create underlines in Photoshop using a frame in the menu as a placeholder.

4 when you're done, delete the placeholder. The final .psd are "highlights only.

5 create a new project in Encore.

6 file > import as > Menu import * all * the menus at once.

7 file > import as > asset import * all * proposal background/button passes only once.

8 file > import as > timeline import movie Timeline/s.

9 double click on each menu and link it to its video backgrond using Motion tab.* *.

10 link each button to the timeline/s or Menu/s.

11 set the correct video clip for each button Transition using the Transition tab.

12 the Ctrl + Alt + space to preview collects *.

    13. Ctrl + Shift + L to check the project.

14 fix any problems reported or read during #12 and #13.

    15 create a .iso.

16 burn the image with ImgBurn .iso file.

Most the time, I went out to the QuickTime Animation and use Adobe Media Encoder to transcode the assets.

    * In still, remove the two buttons manually from "00_Intro.psd."

Yes, the crappy Preview in still is and I see the black video all the time when you use the Transitions button.

All files in this project is transcoded into Adobe Media Encoder using the x 264 BD Pro module. (using the bundled H.264 Blu - ray or MPEG2 Blu - ray gives me the same results, iow no video black.)

The menus in a loop, but do not use any Point on the line specified in yet.

That's all what I do and I don't think that I have a special recipe. One thing I always do is to first import the .psd active second and third timelines. It didn't matter when it came to motion menus in even 1.0 or 1.5, and I always use this recipe when it comes to import.

    I see the same good results with 1080i25, 720p50 and 1080 p 24 (23.976). (The project that I've downloaded .iso 24.0 fps.)

And, I never create a new project and import assets to test things and then remove the tips and deadlines and import new asset in this project, when they are done. Only, I jump in again and begin to import things when * everything * is ready to go. I never even use for transcoding, I bring only in the transcoded elements that are ready to go. Remove and re-import the other assets was (is?) a good recipe for disaster in yet. Removal of delays and create new ones has been a nightmare.

    That's what I use:

    Player: OPPO BDP-93EU

    Media: Verbatim BD - R (Verbatim #43712)

BD-burner: HP BH30L of BD - RE (it came with the HP Z800)

I had it makes me know that once a person had the same problems that some of you have, iow paused and video black with BD disc I created. I guess I haven't done too many BD drives. I don't know what drive Blu-he had used. About a year ago. I tested my BD drive in the Oppo, n, Sony, Philips drives and disc no problems. Everyone has been new players of 2011-2012. I'm afraid I don't remember the exact player models.

It happens from time to time I do not see the black video, but when we look more closely it is me who has returned on the black frame of After Effects. So it's easy to do evil, so import clips into Premiere Pro and rub the clips looking for video at the end of the clips black is a good habit to keep out the clips.

But, without a doubt, this is an issue that will be fixed in all readers of comics can be used without any problem.

In my opinion, send a feature request is the best way to go.

  • HP Laserjet P1102w: Compatibility with WIndows 10

Currently running Windows 7 and have 2 HP laserjet P1102w to consider a new computer with Windows 10 - HP will have a driver that will allow me to continue to use these printers?  I couldn't get a definitive answer on the HP site.  Thanks in advance for any help.

My astonishment was the word 'Pro' does not appear in the description of my printers equipment - is equivalent to this printer the HP Laserjet P1102w?

    Hello

HP Laserjet P1102w, normally to Pro.

    Kind regards.

  • Difference between "Auto off" and "Sleep" on LaserJet P1102W

The user guide for the LaserJet P1102W indicates that the default Auto setting in the properties is 5 minutes.  "Automatic stop" drop-down list does not contain a setting of 5 minutes - rather it contains "never, 30 min and 1,2,4,8, & 24 hours."  However, the drop-down list 'Sleep' contain 5 min and other selections up to 1 hour.  What is the difference between auto-off"and"Sleep ".

After the installation of this new printer, the default settings have been = 5 Minutes ' Sleep' and 'Auto off' = never

I have several computers around the House than any print to the same printer.  I want to always available for printing without issue in the basement to activate it, but yet they want more economic mode.

What is the difference between 'Sleep' and 'Auto off' and how should I put them in my terms of service desired?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I understand that you are looking for some explanations between the Sleep and automatic shutdown of the Laserjet P1102W printer. I would be happy to offer you answers!

For your desired operating conditions, I think that you already put as you would like. Standby essentially puts the printer in a State of very low power consumption, but the printer can be awakened from this State by sending a print job (meaning you don't have to go to the printer to remove it from that State). The auto-off function off the printer completely after a period of time. The only way to take the printer out of State would be to go to the printer and press the power button.

To have several computers connected to this one printer I would recommend leaving the auto-off Never and Eve to what you think is the best. As I said, the printer will wake up fashion 'sleep' and accomplish what you ask without physically going to the printer.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

  • How long is standard, the warranty of the manufacturer on the new printer, Laserjet P1102w?

I just bought a HP LaserJet P1102w (in the United States). It works well, but I wonder how long the guarantee becomes? 30 days? 90?  A year?

Just so I don't know how long to keep the receipt.

  • LaserJet P1102w: History of how many pages each toner printed in web interface?

Is it possible to find in the web interface for the printer, a story of when a new toner has been inserted, and how many pages it had printed upward? I know how to access this story, but from what I can tell, it only shows the current number of toner and the page.

    HP LaserJet p1102w

    Hi @paulri,

I understand that you want to know the history of how many pages have been printed of each toner. I'd love to help you.

You can print a Configuration report to get the total number of pages printed from the printer, but not individual toners.

Printing a Configuration Page. Select the method two.

Feel free to click on the button under the thumbs up if it helps.

    Good day!
    Thank you.
