HP M425dn: Both sides scanning HP M425

I have a confusion with scan using M425dn.

It assumes to scan and copy both sides as well as single side.

I understand how to copy on both sides, and it's in the manual also (official manual on this site), but I can't understand how to analyze both sides.

It says here he can do 'automatic two-sided scanning and copy' > http://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/printers/hp-laserjet-pro-400-mfp-m425dn?jumpid=re_r11662_redirect_ETR&...

Is it really possible to scan on both sides with this all-in-one and how?

The device is capable of 2 scan faces, however, depends on what app allows you to scan, and how to scan you, option 2 faces may or may not be available.

For example, 2 sides scan is available from the printer LCD:

Press "Scan", then "Scan to USB" (or other options analysis)

Tap the 'Settings' (first icon on the bottom bar).

press on "On" on "2 faces".

Ok

  • Scanning both sides of the Mac procedure please

Hello, I bought a MFP HP LaserJet PRO M477fdw.

Scanning on one side is OK but the printer is supposed to be able to do duplex scanning. I is not this function in the system preference--> printer & Scanner. In HP Easy Scan, there is a duplex option, but even I've chosen, hit the scan button on the side as a single scanned computer. Someone knows how to scan both sides at the same time?

Please try scanning with HP Easy Scan by doing the following:

Open HP Easy Scan and then open the menu Presets in the presets menu, define the type of Document and the source as document feeder, then check the box to scan both sides.

    Kind regards

  • HP Officejet Pro 8620: One side scanning instead of both sides

Whenever we scan with the printer using ADF, ALWAYS scan both sides of the document. We want to scan only ONE side, but we cannot find any setting switching on both sides for only one party to scan. It's very frustrating because whenever we scan, we have the right page and one white. We use Adobe Acrobat and driver scan TWAIN of the model.

Is it possible to set up the printer we want?

    Best,

    Hi @keyser2015,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I see you try to do a side scan instead of the two sides, with your HP Officejet Pro 8620 on Windows 10. And I'm happy to help you!

Each scanning program, has their own features. I'm not familiar with the use of Adobe Acrobat, so it is possible the functionality are not available in this particular scanning program. If you need help on the use of Adobe Acrobat, I would say to contact our Support from Adobe, for assistance.

In the meantime, I suggest try using HP Scan instead and see if the option is available on the main screen to choose scan front side. If you have trouble with the HP scanning program, please try our HP print and Scan Doctor, to see if it can automatically solve the problem for you!

Hope this information is useful and thanks for posting!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610: Scanning both sides of the computer does not not on officejet pro 8610

    Hello

    Help, please!

Set up: Officejet Pro 8610 connected wireless for HP laptop Windows 10.

Mission: I have 10 A4 sheets with stuff on both sides. I want to scan every 20 faces and save them on my laptop in the right order.

I would like to do this automatically thought IE the automatic document feeder.

I use scan options HP Scan and Capture software in document settings

I select the source to be "heavy feeder" and duplex scan (if available) option I select '2 Facer.

Although this force the 8610 take the original since the ADF doc it's only one side.

    That's the problem!

Also if I use the HP Officejet Pro HP printer Assistant, if I select the radio button for the front and back, once its done scanning side 1 of the document it asks me to take the originals and put them in the feeder to make the other side. The scans are then coming out in the wrong order!

I bought this printer so I could do it, but can't make it work. I want to cry. Help, please.

    Thank you

    Hello

The HP Officejet Pro 8610 does not support scanning duplex automatic, that the more advanced of this series models supports a such (8620 & 8630 models)

You can find the printer specifications listed below:

Breeze through multipage documents with automatic two-sided scanning and the 50-page auto document feeder (for 8620/8630 only).

    http://www.HP.com/hpinfo/newsroom/press_kits/2014/OJPro/OfficejetPro8610_8620_8630.PDF

You can only perform this manually with your printer model, I suggest to use the HP scanning software.

If the analysis is delivered in the wrong order, try to install and use the HP extended Scan application and check differences:

    FTP://FTP.HP.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

    Hope that helps,

  • Scanning to Acrobat DC "Both Sides" does not work.

Acrobat DC ignores the option "Both Sides" for the scans, and the front sides of documents are scanned. This option worked until these latest updates of DC Acrobat. With the help of the native interface does not solve this problem. I'm having this problem with an Epson WF-7520 scanner using ADF (Automatic Document feeding). I've seen reports of this problem using other scanners also. I use version 2015.008.20082 of Acrobat DC. Anyone know of a work around or a fix for this problem?

  • Analyze both sides (front and back) missing option

    I have an e-all-in-one printer HP Officejet Pro 8600 - N911a (CM749A).

On Windows 7, the HP scanning software has an option to scan both sides (duplex), when you use the automatic document feeder.

But I am a Mac user and in the scanner HP for Mac software, this option is missing. Why?

It is really useful. I wish I had this option on Mac. Or is it there? Thank you.

    Hello

Duplex (two sided) is compatible with OS X using the scanner HP for OSX software

If you haven't done so already, download the full driver HP package for the HP Officjet 8600-hp.com

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=MP-107214-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=219&product=4323648&sw_lang=

When you install, in the first few install screens and the Installation Options screen, be sure to select "Software recommended by HP" - then the HP scanning software will settle.

(Note - Minimum install is the default, and this only installs the utility driver printing and files to support ICA scanning Preview/ImageCapture, that do not support the two faces of scanning).

After installing sw, go to Applications / Hewlett Packard folder and launch application from HP.

    Open the< to="" view="" the="" detailed="" dialog="" box="" view.=""  choose="" document="" as="" the="" "type"="" and="" you'll="" see="" the="" option="" to="" select="" 'scan="" both="" sides="" of="" pages'="" at="" the="" bottom="" of="" the="" dialog="">

works for me, hope this helps

  • HP officejet 4630 will not print on both sides of the paper

Unable to print on both sides of the paper. The backsideprints first, then wait for the ink to dry, front end starts to print then stops with a windows error message popping up on the screen saying cannot print the document.

I found that I can't print multiple pages either. For example, I decided to print the document of 4 pages in the form of simple pages only (since double-sided would not work) and the results were first page print second page prints on a third, and then just stop with error message this printer cannot print the pdf document. If I had to select each separately page to finnally get all four printed pages. HP print and scan diagnosis says theres no problem. Windows diagnostics says there is no problem.

Obviously there is a problem can offer advice and the solution?

    Thank you

    Kimoho

    To all,

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. I would like to point out that the problem was solved and printer works fine.

The solution is one of the two things?

First, I opened the windows firewall and allows all applications and processes to pass through. There may be a few dozens of them, some have been verified and how some have been blocked. I checked all except those who started with 'remote '.

Second, I went on the printer software and returned the IP address of the printer. It was the same as the IP address, but somewhere on the microsoft blog, I read that windows and routers sometimes lost the IP address. That's why I'm re-entered.

I don't know which of these fixed the issue, but one of them did.

    Thanks again

  • MFP HP laserjet 400: Double side-scan

    Dear engineer,

Please note that I want to copy the ID card back to back on a sheet of paper.

I chose the option of the code and select (2 sides on 1 side) and change the site id, but the two parties appeared on the same side on a sheet of paper

I want to copy next double of the sheet of paper.

    Thank you and best regards

Looks like the copy ID feature does exactly what his documented to:

"Use the ID Copy feature to copy both sides of the identity card or other small documents, on the same side of a sheet of paper."

So if your goal is to copy an ID card that is unique to two sides of a sheet of paper, then you should not use the feature ID Copy.  As I read the copy feature ID only creates single face exit.  He succeeds in taking a scan on one side of the ID, records in the memory, takes a 2nd scan across the ID, merges the two scans to overlap eachother (HP will ask to move the ID to a 2 for the 2nd side location) and then produces a single output from the front.

To make a copy of both sides of the glass scanning shoud you use copy normal duplex as shown on page 56.  The printer should behave the same if a document is loaded in the ADF or on the glass for this feature.  If you use the glass then the printer probably will be asked to return the document after the first scan is complete.

  • L7680 two sides Scan available on windows 7?

I have an automatic document feeder on my L7680 printer.  I want to scan a document both sides, but there is no option in the hp software interface to select double scanning.  I downloaded the latest driver/software package.  Is it available on Windows 7?  I was able to scan on 2 sides on my Windows XP system.

Nevermind, I found the box for "scan both sides", instead of saying 2 Facer.

  • How to print on both sides using a Mac and a HP2575?

    Hello

I've been a Windows user for some time now and recently bought a MacBook.  For a long time, I used Windows to print Word documents, which allowed me to print on both sides (even though my printer is not a "module" sides).   When I went to print using my MacBook, my printer (HP2575 all-in-one), would allow me to print on both sides.  Is there a program I can download that would allow me to print on both sides?

    Any suggestions would be helpful.

I've recently upgraded to Acrobat Pro DC and the print command both sides worked until yesterday.  Now Acrobat will still scan pages only side, but even with both sides order selected, it does not analyze both sides of a document.  I tested the scanner and it will still scan and copy both sides of a document using the duplex control on the scanner button.  I use a pc with windows 7 64 bit and a HP Scanjet 7000.

  • All of a sudden started having a large margin on both sides of websites such as Facebook and Pinterest so everything is smaller in the middle. How can I change this?

I don't know if I've accidentally changed something by mistake, but now most of the Web pages on which I'm going to have a margin of 2 inches on both sides which makes everything that should appear in a small space right in the middle of the screen. I would like to make the content of the pages to fill the entire page rather than just middle. How can I change this?

You can reset the zoom of page on pages that are causing problems.

    • View > Zoom > reset (Ctrl + 0 (zero); 0 + Command on Mac)
