HP Mini 210 - no recovery disk

Hi all

Hope someone can advise what to do.  I bought two HP Mini 210.  I did not the recovery disks.  The hard drive on one of the netbooks failed and I got a new installed.

I made a recovery disk on USB of the other netbook to work hoping that I would be able to use it to restore the operating system using the license key from one failed, but when it boots off the coast of the USB it says is an incompatibility or something and leaves me not to continue.

Does anyone know of a way around this please?  If there isn't one, can anyone tell what is the best step forward?

Thanks in advance

    Hello, I need help now.

Trying to fix a HP Mini 210-1094NR running Windows 7 Starter.  Boots to the Windows error recovery screen that gives me two options.

    1. run the Startup Repair tool

    2 start Windows normally

Well you can guess which do not work.

The repair option is stuck in a loop, the hard drive light flashes once every 3 seconds.   For more than 36 hours left and he said he was repairing.

So it is hammered.  Y does it have to access a recovery partition?   I have the manual and it says to press F11 or the window button to access a possible recovery partition.  However, these just bring me to the recovery screen with the same options that do not work.

    Any help for this device?

    Thank you.

  • HP Mini 210 factory recovery - not a HP Recovery Option?

I searched through many positions for anyone who could have this problem but have not been able to find someone, so I'll put it here and hope someone can help out me.

I'm working on a HP Mini 210 - 4150NR which must be restored to factory fresh State. Many assignments in various forums indicate that it is easier to restart, press ESC, select f11 and then recover to factory settings. However, there are several problems with this (at least for this Netbook). Pressing f11 will start windows normally, it is absolutely * not * bring up the recovery options. However, it is always possible to start the HP recovery from the menu (7 Starter) windows start. From there, however, the only option not grayed out is to use the Windows restore option. Restore factory settings is not available for me.

I checked what is hidden (D recovery partition is present on the hard drive, but it doesn't seem to be possible to get a recovery to work.) I am currently taking the tack of the execution point to the "reinstall drivers and Applications" for all the drivers and applications identified by the program of HP Recovery Manager and who can help, but I'm very unhappy with the inability to restore the factory State.

Someone had this problem? Is there an other poster somewhere that you can tell me (and I thank very you much if you can)? Ideas on the follow-up, that I can take to get this system back to square 1?

Thank you in advance for any help or advice that may be offered.

I understand that the data is present, but obviously, recovery manager sees something wrong with the recovery partition, I would return it for a full refund or Exchange for another in a box factory sealed.

  • HP Mini 210-2002sa laptop: System Recovery

Product name: HP Mini 210-2002sa laptop computer model #: XD396EA

    OS: Windows 7 starter edition

Should I for Microsoft Windows 7 starter product key to perform a system recovery?

If Yes, where can I get it? The only thing I have is the OEM product ID.

    Hello

As long as you do the system recovery from the hard disk recovery partition (or from the recovery media, you created when the laptop was purchased), activation will happen automatically via the license of software on your bios chip and a certificate of security built into the operating system - you won't need to enter something.

  • Recovery HP Mini 210 problem

It started to have this type of quick web error and wireless Assistant.

I decided to reinstall the Recovery Manager software. But the problem is

After installing the software, he asked to restart the computer. That's why I allowed him to restart,

but now it comes with a "installation is not complete. Press a key to reboot and

then use the Setup program to repair the installation. "And this screen appears before the windows

    startup

Now what's happening is that press each time a button to restart, it goes back to the same screen with the

above the words. And I can't get into windows, nor the recovery page.

I have no idea what so ever where the installation program is. and I can't go back to the window to do a full restore.

    can someone help me?

Do as he suggests. apparently the application was not installed correctly.

You can join the Recovery Manager by tapping F11 continuously at the beginning of a reboot.

  • Faced with the installation of XP SP3 and XP SP2 on HP mini 210

    Hello

I followed the steps on my computer, HP mini 210, which was completely unusable:

    (1) Mini Partition Master tool used to boot the system.

    (2) remove all partitions, including HP recovery and everything.

    (3) create a new primary partition NTFS and label c.

    (4) restart the system with the bootable XP SP3 or SP2 CD.

    (5) Windows copies all the files and go to "Start Windows"

((6) I select one) to install a new Windows XP

After that XP is not able to identify the partition on the hard drive. It says no hard drive detected or something it starts and asks to press F3 to exit.

I tried to enter F9 at startup, and it does not show the hard disk; I mean that the HARD disk is not damaged or corrupted.

Can you get it someone please let me know what to do?

    Hello:

You must integrate the NM10 chipset Sata driver controller that I zipped and attached below, then XP installs fine.

Info on how to integrate the driver, please read the guide at the link below, read the Intel section, and read the document that is "slipstreaming" all drivers from Intel.

  • HP Mini 210-4000 blue screen of death PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA Error

I've been up and down the Forums here with no specific luck, unfortunately, so I'll ask even if this has been asked and solved in another part of the site that I may have missed.

I'm trying to untangle HP Mini Notebook a friend, model HP Mini 210-4125sa. The machine starts well enough until last week, when it was suddenly decided to blue screen.

The text of the error message displayed in the BSOD reads as follows:

    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

    TECHNICAL INFORMATION:

    STOP: 0 X 00000050 (0X87E40000, 0X00000000, 0X00000000, 0X92442B13)

I can't start after loading Windows 7 - the load bar screen makes two fifths upwards and that's all.

I had thought to try to recover the operating system, if possible, of what is apparently a recovery partition that is created on the hard drive (I have not worked with these machines before, unfortunately), but I can't figure out how to get to that partition before the typing error.

In addition, after trying to download a piece of software of HP USB recovery Flash Disk Utility, I realize it seems necessary to use it in fact of the computer laptop itself, that is not possible.
Having begun to run various tests on board in the menu of the BIOS, the hard drive Test failed just apparently (more specifically the hard drive part optimized DST test), with ID GGBXXV-66A75U-MFPX0J-61VV03 failure (I don't know if this information is useful but am nevertheless understood). HP unfortunately were not a lot of help as they wil only offers unique support technician call for forty pounds, or to take the laptop away for repair, which cost almost as much as the original of the material costs. Of course, I prefer to try and resolve this issue myself but have hit a bit of a wall at the present time. Any suggestion would be great at this point.

This test equipment for the hard drive is a gift died of a faulty element. A failed hard drive is a show-stopper.

Hard drive optimized DST part of the test), with ID GGBXXV-66A75U-MFPX0J-61VV03 failure (I don't know if this information is useful but am nevertheless understood) This is important information.

A corrupted NTFS (hard drive) volume can also generate the "error PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" stop message.

  • HP mini 210-1032cl. I have a new hard drive with nothing on it. I don't know what to do.

Someone sold me a mini 210-1032cl without hard drive.  I bought a hard drive on ebay.  Where should I go from here.  I can't access anything on my hard drive with disk management.  I did some research and saw the formatting and partitioning of hard drive using disk management.  But how to do this with nothing on the disk?  Which is the best operating system I can buy which also has an Office suite (if there is such a thing)?  I'm trying to restore the mini without breaking the Bank.  I will soon go to College and I need to get my mini operational as soon as possible.  Apparently, this mini was Windows 7 Starter.  I tried the HP Support, but it is so confusing to me.  I don't know what I'm doing.  Thanks in advance for your help and your insight. Forgive my ignorance.

    Hello:

My recommendation is to click on the link below, and then click to expand the line of order recovery media, then click on the blue button more details and order the recovery disks that are going to install the operating system, software and drivers originally came with the laptop.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=4062&LC=en&cc=us&DLC=en&sw_lang=&product=4125470

BEFORE YOU ORDER DISKS... Two important points to note...

    1. you will need a USB DVD drive to use with the recovery discs.

    2. the hard disk that you purchased should be the same storage capacity or larger than the original drive came with the laptop.

The original specifications drive was 160 GB.

  • Recovery disk can't find ST9160314AS at startup...

I have a 210-1000 mini hp with windows xp and a ST9160314AS. I have the recovery disk and a samsung external dvd RW.  When I boot on the cd, it gives an error that there is no hard drive to install to. I can't find sata drivers for xp. What are my options?

    Hello:

Please read the info at the link below, the article Intel and the chipset of your laptop is the NM10.

Then the PDF document you view or download from here will have links to the SATA drivers and other information that you need to install XP.

  • help with HP mini 210-1100

I got a HP Mini 210-1100, it came with Windows 7 starter.

I would like to format and install XP... Is it safe to do?
I'll be able to use all the functions of the netbook XP as well... (I was wondering cos the netbook CAME with the operating system by default.) ...

In addition, there is a score reader who reads HP tools, it includes records-'BIOS, BIOSUpdate, SystemDiags.
The disk is 100 MB with about 5 MB, occupied with the above...
Another drive partition bed RECOVERY 13.5 GB with 1.94 GB occupied.

Should I leave these alone during the installation of XP... or format as well...

    Thank you.

Some of the Minis have XP drivers posted at HP_such as HERE only you can determine which specific model you have in the 210-1100 series by checking the serial number attached to the bottom.

With respect to the recovery partition, it is safe to delete all partitions before installing XP. Here link to ' How to install Windows XP from USB key. "if necessary.

  • Reinstall the image on HP Mini 210 HD with XP Pro

I have not find a relocation or partition disc to create the original disk image, where can I find it for my HP Mini 210 HD?

Yes, I tried to enter this part of the page, but the links everyone to bike to the front page!    I said something on this subject earlier today.   Now I just get an error HTTP 500 Internal Server Error when I click on the link that indicates the recovery media for XP.  (Sorry, is XP Home edition - too many computers!)

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=228&LC=en&cc=us&DLC=en&sw_lang=&product=4075983#N744

I don't think it works anyway, as I was expecting to have a disk image or a DVD of recovery with the drivers and all.   My other HPs have a recovery partition, the Mini does not.

    Thank you

  • HP mini 210-reset password

I have a hp mini 210, I bought used for ny off restored daughter.i back and now she wants a password of the original owner, which is the number I do not have any longer.this is on the screen.i windows assumption that would be the administrative password to start... It is to click on reset password, but when I do it request a disk or a flash drive... When I install a flash drive, it says always the same thing... It gives even a clue, but I can't well guessed it... I appreciate any help thanks

    Hello

You have 2 option call the previous owner and verify the password. Or you can use the F11 option and run a recovery and start fee. If the F11 option does not work, you must call the HP technical support and order the recovery disk.

  • HP Mini 210-3000

I have a HP Mini 210-3000 got my son, it works fine but now the user profile is not recognized at startup and I can't get past the password, the password is accepted, but the message "the service user profile Service has no logon. Failed to load the user profile"I was HP Advanced System Diagnostics and the machine passes all of the Tests such as Start UP, hitches etc.

The Bios CMU however not to update or restore as update is not available

How can I fix the user profile so that I can open a session?

    Hello

    You can try the following.

Shut down the laptop.  Tap away at f8 that you start the laptop to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select Safe mode and press ENTER.  If windows will load in this mode, on the Start Menu, click principally made programs, click Accessories, click System Tools and run the system restore.  Choose a restore point at least 24 hours prior to the issue of logon and then proceed to the restoration.  When you are finished, Windows will restart as normal in order to check if you can now connect correctly.

Another option if the above does not help is as follows.

Shut down the laptop.  Tap away at f8 that you start the laptop to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select "Start using last good known Configuration" and press ENTER.

    Kind regards

    Hello

    1. have you tried to restore from hard disk image as written in this article?

    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=58

2 but when the loading disk the 2nd drive is unable to read, and I get an error

It seems that he scratched and some files cannot be read. AFAIK, the 2nd Dvd contains drivers/utilities that you can install yourself Toshiba driver pages. It varies depending on the model:

[European Toshiba driver page | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp]

[Driver Toshiba Canada page | http://support.toshiba.ca/support/Download/ln_byModel.asp]

[Australian Toshiba driver page | http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support]

    [Toshiba American driver page: http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp]

    > I was wondering where I'd get in origin

Unfortunately, it is not free of order recovery disk, you will have to pay. For European models, you can order here:

    [Recovery disk | https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx]

For the other models (countries, regions), you should check on above mentioned sites
