HP Mini 210-2002sa laptop: System Recovery

Product name: HP Mini 210-2002sa laptop computer model #: XD396EA

OS: Windows 7 starter edition

Should I for Microsoft Windows 7 starter product key to perform a system recovery?

If Yes, where can I get it? The only thing I have is the OEM product ID.

Hello

As long as you do the system recovery from the hard disk recovery partition (or from the recovery media, you created when the laptop was purchased), activation will happen automatically via the license of software on your bios chip and a certificate of security built into the operating system - you won't need to enter something.

Kind regards

    Hello!

I try my laptop HP Pavilion PC g6 recovery but it does not work! I did it last year and it worked, but now it doesn't! The problem is that when I remove the last CD of HP recovery (they are four) since the drive hard, after a while my laptop suddenly stopped! I so want to solve or to get any help here because I really need my work laptop.

    Thanks for any help!

It is a possiblity that the laptop overheating causing the closure. Take a can of compressed air and clean all the ports, vents, etc. to ensure good air circulation. You might even live a small fan to the laptop while trying to run the recovery again.

Another possibility is failing hard drive. Use Diagnostics to test and memory. You should have diagnoses in the BIOS (F10 to light) or diagnostic system (F2 to turn on)

  • Upgrade memory - HP mini 210 3000SD

    Hello

I have a HP Mini 210-3000SD laptop. The HP support page says the RAM is expandable up to 1 GB, but I saw that a cell phone even has been upgraded to 2 GB.

Mini Apparanetly hp in the series have the same thing too, hp support page says up to 1 GB, but in fact, it was possible to upgrade to 2 GB.

My guess is that I have to use a special type of DDR3 RAM, anyone have advice?

    Thank you!

If you look at the section of the Ram, you'll see that the laptop will support up to 2 GB of DDR3-1333 MHz ram. There is one slot memory, so the chip you buy must be a 2 gb chip. You can also go to www.crucial.com and download a tool they have there that will scan your system and give you ram and disk hard upgrade results specific to your system.

Thank you, the Manual Guide to different Rams depending on the operating system for most windows. I have a debian (linux) on my mini hp computer... could this be a problem?

  • Problems starting HP Mini 210-2100, partition deleted, flashing the line underscore, System Recovery does not

    Hi all

    my situation is like this:

When I turn on my laptop I get a black screen with a flashing underscore above it "no boot device - insert boot disk and press any key" (even if the BIOS boot order a hard drive for laptop on top). I changed this order a couple of times because I used a USB stick with Windows 7 on it (black version) to enter System Recovery Options (without USB I can't access the system recovery (F11 doesn't work not).)

My System Recovery Options window is white/empty (no operating system, the size of the partition and the location). I'm going on and click repair system that did not help (it of a loop, do not start Windows). In the Diagnostics and repair of details it is Root cause found:

The partition table doesn't have a valid System Partition.

    Repair action: Partition table repair

    Result: Completed successfully. Error code = 0 x 0

That's because before this problem starting with underscore flashing, I had another problem: "BOOTMGR is missing. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart» I was impatient and wanted to fix that quickly and made a big mistake, after looking on the web for some time I have found no useful websites describing how to fix it (I found one when it was already too late). I went on a channel on youtube and came with: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8n-G9Rv2zo before I didn't know what a clean install was, I looked up 03:55 and made perfect:

    CMD:

    DiskPart

    list disk

    Select disk 0

    partition from the list

selected and deleted all 4 partitions (size: 215GB, 199 MB, GB, 103-17 MB)

created new partitions same dimensions (all the primary dimensions)

then I stopped and clicked on a cross (x) in cmd to get out when I came to a new window where I clicked on YES (I have not read what he was doing, I just wanted to go to bed because it was too late). Since there is no "BOOTMGR is missing. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart"(damage because now I know how to fix this, I was just too stupid, impatient and irresponsible), there is just a line of underscore flashing with"No boot device - insert boot disk and press any key"any of the BIOS boot order is this sentence does not disappear. He did a couple of times before, but no more.

So after this long description, my question is:

Is there a way to recover my data which I assume is lost and can not restore? I have no backups or images.

P.S. I do not installed Windows 7, I just deleted partition table and created a new.

Sorry for my English, I'm not a native speaker. Thank you in advance.

    Hi MatBar,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I'm sorry but there is no way to recover the data once you have deleted the partition. You could try a local repair facility, given that some devices of data to recover your data.

You may restore the Windows 7 operating system with disks if you find someone with the same version of Windows that you use their discs.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

  • HP Mini 210 - no recovery disk

    Hi all

Hope someone can advise what to do.  I bought two HP Mini 210.  I did not the recovery disks.  The hard drive on one of the netbooks failed and I got a new installed.

I made a recovery disk on USB of the other netbook to work hoping that I would be able to use it to restore the operating system using the license key from one failed, but when it boots off the coast of the USB it says is an incompatibility or something and leaves me not to continue.

Does anyone know of a way around this please?  If there isn't one, can anyone tell what is the best step forward?

    Thanks in advance

  • HP Mini 210 factory recovery - not a HP Recovery Option?

I searched through many positions for anyone who could have this problem but have not been able to find someone, so I'll put it here and hope someone can help out me.

I'm working on a HP Mini 210 - 4150NR which must be restored to factory fresh State. Many assignments in various forums indicate that it is easier to restart, press ESC, select f11 and then recover to factory settings. However, there are several problems with this (at least for this Netbook). Pressing f11 will start windows normally, it is absolutely * not * bring up the recovery options. However, it is always possible to start the HP recovery from the menu (7 Starter) windows start. From there, however, the only option not grayed out is to use the Windows restore option. Restore factory settings is not available for me.

I checked what is hidden (D recovery partition is present on the hard drive, but it doesn't seem to be possible to get a recovery to work.) I am currently taking the tack of the execution point to the "reinstall drivers and Applications" for all the drivers and applications identified by the program of HP Recovery Manager and who can help, but I'm very unhappy with the inability to restore the factory State.

Someone had this problem? Is there an other poster somewhere that you can tell me (and I thank very you much if you can)? Ideas on the follow-up, that I can take to get this system back to square 1?

Thank you in advance for any help or advice that may be offered.

I understand that the data is present, but obviously, recovery manager sees something wrong with the recovery partition, I would return it for a full refund or Exchange for another in a box factory sealed.

  • HP 15-f111dx: laptop won't start or go to the menu of system recovery?

So the other day I was cleaning off my laptop and I slipped the keyboard with a towel and I guess I pressed something I wouldn't because he went to a white screen and green-ish (the color of my windows theme 8) and I had to turn off because he wouldn't do anything.

Now when I turn it on it has the loading of HP and said preparation of automatic recovery screen, but then it's just a black screen after a minute. I can go into the menu of the BIOS (F9) and the parameters of the system (F10), but I can not enter the page of system recovery. When I press the F11 key to make, it said system restore in the corner, but then it goes to the loading screen 'system recovery preparation' just and turns to a black screen.

I ran a test of the system short on the menu diagnostics and it says verification of DST short of hard drive failed. I got the error code was U4TV68-7J3886-MFPV6K - T 60, 603. Any help here? I don't mind reset my computer to default settings, if that's possible, but I can't exactly go and buy a new laptop now.

    Thanks in advance!

Short of DST = disk failure hard drive is not / is a failure and should be replaced. Unfortunately HP does not that easy in their later models. On laptops earlier it was open the service door on the bottom and replace the drive. Now, it requires a dismantling almost full access to the drive, as shown in the Service Guide and interview here:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c04763999

You can buy a hard drive for $50-60, but if you're not handy with disassembly, you'll have to pay someone to replace. Repair of local pc shop, Best Buy, Staples, etc.

BTW I hope you did your recovery media using software on the laptop. You will need to start the laptop and install Windows on a new drive. If this isn't the case, it will be an extra $ 40 for the purchase of HP.

  • Laptop HP Emvy 15: System Recovery keeps failing

    Hello

I'm trying to reinstall original OS (WIN 8.1).  I use three DVD recovery discs provided by HP, but unfortunately for some reason any recovery keeps failing.   Besides the machine will start only in the first DVD.  According to the BIOS, the laptop was built in 2014 (which apparently has some influence on the recovery someware).

    Any assistance woule be appreciated

    Tony

    Hi CherylG,

This somewhat embarrassing.  My problem was solved when the operating system has been reinstalled.  Initially I contacted HP customer care with a view to see what my chances were to have replaced the operating system.  You see the recovery partition has been deleted by mistake when I was convinced to give a Linux OS a go.  I could not get used and decided to return to Windows.

Anyway somewhere in the conversation with the customer service "re-install" became "valorisation" and a few days later, a system recovery DVD set arrived on my doorstep.  As you know, I tried various methods to try to resolve the problem without success.   Yet once, I talked to CS and it was decided that I send to the machine to HP (AWA) to Sydney for repairs. One day ortol later that I have received a call from a technician who asked if there were files or data on the hard drive that I need to be saved.  I said nothing on the HARD drive and he said thathe would like to reinstall the OS.  That's what the report says, reinstalled OS and the device.

I guess the moral of this story is to recover whatever it is there must be something to recover.  That's why I kept getting the message "try to restore system failed" or words to that effect.

    See you soon

  • HP Mini 210-1094NR recovery

    Hello, I need help now.

Trying to fix a HP Mini 210-1094NR running Windows 7 Starter.  Boots to the Windows error recovery screen that gives me two options.

    1. run the Startup Repair tool

    2 start Windows normally

Well you can guess which do not work.

The repair option is stuck in a loop, the hard drive light flashes once every 3 seconds.   For more than 36 hours left and he said he was repairing.

So it is hammered.  Y does it have to access a recovery partition?   I have the manual and it says to press F11 or the window button to access a possible recovery partition.  However, these just bring me to the recovery screen with the same options that do not work.

    Any help for this device?

    Thank you.

    More data.

Consulted with Diagnostics and run the hard drive test.    2% complete... Message says "replace disk 1" hard. "

Complete test 0% complete... 'Replace the hard drive.

    Smart control... "HDD SMART past.

Looks like I got a bad disc.  I should know.  It's 28 years.

  • Laptop will not reinstall windows after the factory system recovery

So I have a laptop HP which is relatively new. I recently acquired the Virus 2010 Vista AntiVirus Pro. When the malware and spyware could not fix the problem, I decided to do a system restore, which would put the computer to the way it was when I bought it. I backed up the files and do the system recovery. He filled the recovery then said it will re-start to reinstall windows and complete the process.

After the restart as it gets and error that says: "the computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error." Windows Setup cannot continue. To install Windows, click "ok" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation. »

The only option is to click on 'ok', but after clicking it he is trying to reboot once again and the same error comes back. We tried to manually close the laptop and restart, but we always get the same error. I can get the start menu when the information system and the recovery is but to the past is just the mistake. Any suggestions on how to fix it? I don't know what else to do.
