  • Latitude D610 screen turns off after the Windows XP loading screen

I'm having a problem with my Latitude D610 where after the Windows XP loading screen, the screen turns off completely. No BSOD, no login screen, just a white screen. This started happening at least a year, however, I bought a new computer if it is passed to the hatch. I tried the system restore when it appeared first without success. The computer starts in Mode safe. Any suggestions?

If it starts in mode without failure, then its almost certainly a driver and with the blank screen problem, I suspect a display driver.

  • Help! My computer is frozen on the Windows Vista loading screen!

It has been like that for a few days. Any suggestions?

    Restore point:

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  • Question of the window of Skype screen share

Hi, I tried searching for a while and may not find specific answers. For some reason, recently when I go to the split screen, then choose Select a window, not all active windows demonstrate them. Several times recently, I tried the window to a screen sharing program, but the program window does not appear as an option to select in the split screen, despite the fact that I had shared these same program windows in the past.

I added a photo so you can see what I mean. You can see that the program is open and you can even see its icon in the preview of the Volume mixer window, but it does not appear as a window to select and share.

This isn't the only program I've had problems with, were two other programs that I had problems with games, but all three of these programs are those I have screen share the window in the past, but can only recently. What could be the cause of this? I have not changed the settings or my operating system since the last time that I could share these.

    You can try this installer:

  • How can I remove the email notification in the Windows 7 login screen?

    opening start screen

When I turn on my computer at the beginning to start click on user name in my name says 464 emails unread how rectify this.

    Regards Mike Robson

    Glib answer: read your emails.

Notification of "unread mail" on the Windows Home screen reflects information from several e-mail applications that can be installed on your computer, including at least, Outlook Express and Mozilla Thunderbird's.  Other messaging applications can also contribute to the total.

If you click on the link, you are supposed to see what e-mail client has how many messages, but I have never actually confirmed this feature.

See Presentation of the mail notification display on the Windows XP Welcome screen.

You can completely disable this notification.  The link above the article explains how to change the registry, but the easiest is to download TweakUI for Windows XP.  For some reason, the Microsoft download link for this seems to be non-functional now, but you can get it here--> http://download.cnet.com/Tweak-UI/3000-2072_4-10002117.html

After you install TweakUI, click on "Login" in the left pane, then "unread mail".

  • It is possible to zoom the image to fill the window (or full screen)?

It is possible to zoom the image to fill the window (or full screen) and shift then return to the library or develop fashion with all the panels?  The L command does not zoom the image up to full size of the screen or window.  Is a similar order the brand is the image as large as possible?

F takes you on a full-screen, is just "lights out" so you see what is currently in front of you, but without the panels. D and G switch between the library module and to the point, but as soon as you press those then you exit the full screen.

  • Vista hangs in the window of "Sign Off"

My computer hangs up in the window "Logging Off" and will not be closed which needs to be cut.  This only happens if I used once sleep or hibernation.  If I turn on your computer and later to arrest him without using the sleep or hibernate closing occurs normally.  This problem occurred before my first date of system recovery, so I can't use this corrective method.  I suspect that the problem is related to the propulsion.

I am running Vista business with service pack 1 on a Sony Vaio VGNTZ240N.

Are you running Vista 64-bit? And the R5C822 and the R5C592 are Ricoh drivers. Do you have more information or can you say that you have installed the Ricoh devices? Maybe look in the Device Manager. Probably a card reader or camera?

  • My computer hangs at the Windows loading screen OR blue screen comes up saying I need to install the hardware.

Hi, I recently got a computer and I just realized that whenever I turn it on after a long period of time (eteindre turn off during the night, turn it on morning) my computer freezes at windows startup screen. Sometimes a blue error screen appears and after reading it, I would say that a material is not installed correctly. After graduating with my computer, I am sure that I have installed the latest updates, but im not sure what is causing this problem.

  • Had to replace the motherboard with an ASUS P5Q Turbo luxury and now Windows 7 hangs on the Windows installation.

I am so frustrated now that I'm ready to give up window 7.

I had to replace my abit IX38 QuadGT inserted in my PC due to problems of firmware cannot be resolved (abit now being out of the business of the motherboard).  In any case, I bought a new ASUS P5Q Pro TURBO (which is SUPPOSED to be ready out of the box for Windows 7) and TRIED to reinstall my Windows 7 64-bit professional installation.

To add bad things to me I had to replace my hard drive with a new WD 640 MB Caviar Black.  I had the feeling to my 500 GB Seagate Barracuda as a primary drive, hoping that Windows 7 Pro would see that, Yes, I had a previous installation of Windows 7, and it would allow me to install again.

    No luck.

My system starts ok DVD of Windows 7, then the files installation done and then goes to the windows 7 screen installation and CRASHES completely.

What ____! I have updated the BIOS to try to solve the problem, but of course, no go.

Can someone tell me what to do _ because I'm NOT a novice by any means and I literally spent hours of my time trying to make a simple re-install.

I am angry that this is not simpler than it is.  MS why can't this right. Good grief!

Finally solved... by ditching the ASUS Board. It's a piece of SH$ (%!  Put in a Gigabyte UD3LR card. The RAM has acknowledged and assign it is 1066 speed immediately. Still using the Commission. A sweet piece of kit.

ASUS Aspire now in my opinion. I'll never buy a Board again and encourage others to avoid completely. How the once powerful ASUS fell.

    All the best,

  • HP SimplePass does not work except the windows log on screen

    Hey,.

When I bought this pc, it is Windows 8. I've updated my pc to the latest version 8.1 of windows. After the first update SimplePass stopped working on all browsers except Internet Explorer. He stopped work on the login screen too. But for some reason he started working on the newspaper on the screen all of a sudden. I contacted HP through chat support. They said that SimplePass is designed to work only with Internet Explorer. Other browsers may work or not. It is very good. According to his (Agent HP) SimplePass still works.

But after the SimplePass update stopped working completely except the login screen. I click on the icon SimplePass... no answer... I slip on the fingerprint reader... nothing happens. But the computer only works on the windows login screen. Below is my current pc info. I think that HP must update SimplePass.
