• Internet access only in safe mode with network! Help!

  I can access the internet and open a Web page in SafeMode with network. When I try to open a Web page in normal mode, I can't. I looked at the diagonisic and it says that my firewall or something is not allowed my HTTP port 80 and HTTPS 443 port and port 21 FTP to open or access. I went into my settings of firewall and turned all these, but I have not yet been able to get access to the internet.  HELP PLEASE?

  I suggest you follow these methods and check.

  Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software.

  Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable the antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  Method 2: If the method above does not work, you can put the computer in the boot and check.

• 6224 PC kills my network. Help? :)

  I have a PowerConnect 6224 that I use at home on my home network.  I recently started having a really * internet connection with Pings in the range of several hundred.  My configuration is very simple:

  Cable modem-> Wireless Router-> PC-> stuff 6224 (printers, VOIP, file server computer box, etc.)

  If I go to www.pingtest.net with everything connected (I'm on wifi to router), I've been around average a 300ms ping response.  Then, I found that if I simply unplug the router to the switch and run the test again, I get a sub 20ms ping without making any other changes.  If I can plug it in the switch back in, my pings are up in the scale of several hundred.

  Then I unplugged the switch for a bit and let it restart.  I have rant pingtest again, he jumped up to autour 95ms ping.  It's much better than it was before the restart, but still not as good as I would like.

  If it seems to tell me that the traffic from switch is to flood the router with something that is causing all the average traffic to slow down.  When I brought the home switch, I installed the latest firmware and reset all settings to their default value and has not changed anything.

  I wonder if there is some setting I should change the switch that could help with this problem.  Should I just used to reboot it every so often?  What can I do?

  The switch should not be restarted regularly. Most of the common time for a reboot is when you do the firmware updates. The latest firmware is 3.3.15.1.

  While the problem is occurring, I'd take a look at some of the controls, see the following. The output may help to better identify the possible causes.

  Show # command logging, will give you the output of any saved messages. If there are errors messages, they can help to better identify the possible causes.

  You can use the command # show interfaces counters to check all interfaces with errors, or the high amounts of packets compared to the total of broadcast packets.

  Use these commands to check the resources on the switch. # Show processes cpu and # see the cpu memory. If they are on the high side, it can affect performance.

  While the problem occurs, you can try unplugging the devices that are attacked to the switch, instead of disconnect switch of the router. Disconnect one at the time and a test to see if there is an impact on the network.

  a. click "Start", go to run, type "services.msc" (without the quotation marks) in the Open box and press ENTER.

  b. click on the button continue to check the permission of the administrator.

  c. 'Knowledge of network locations' service right click and choose Properties.

  d. under the general tab, click Start.

  e. click next to automatic startup type.

  f. click OK.

  Restart the computer and check.

  Please can someone help I get a message error popup that says "something is to try to trick firefox by accepting a security update. Please contact your network provider and ask for help. "I recently did a clean reinstall and deleted all my program folder before reinstalling a new copy after having a similar King of the error message pop up, but it seems that I swapped some sort of problem for another.   I too had just so sick of this error appeared when your in the middle of something, I ended up having to pay a computer technician to sort on (which I hardly could afford). If all goes well he managed to fix but I will not hold my breath immediately, as usual things go pear for me.
  Sorry I can't be of any use help you as I'm naïve with something like that, that's why I posted the question in the hope that I could fix it myself, but nothing helped.

• Get rid of the HP network check

  I find this piece of software is a right royal pain in the proverbial. I want to uninstall or disable it if not. My PC is a HP Pavilion dv7-6c50ei running MS Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 SP1.

  I was very happy with the standard messages of IE9, whenever there was a problem with the network, but I can't find any way to get rid of this network of HP Check. I really don't want to have to uninstall the HP Support Assistant software.

  The other day, I clicked on a risky link who brought up a JavaScript message in my chrome window, with an option to click to go somewhere to "scan my computer a virus. I clicked immediately outside, but I have to think if you could download viruses aa only from that initial click. I checked my console logs and found this

I have Parental controls on my laptop which stops at 10:15 every night, so I was very worried to see that not only had my bluetooth enabled but he shared AirDrop with a unknown user. Can someone please check my logs and tell me if my computer is compromised.

  Looks like one of those dubious scams. Theyre fake... I'm sure that Ms. access you your system remotely. They have disabled probably many things. Did you pay them for that?

  Press simultaneously the windows + r or go to run. Type msconfig. Look under the Startup tab if safe mode is checked uncheck the box as well as the network then reboot

  Well, I think that after pouring on the manual online I found a solution for wireless printing. Bluetooth. I ordered a dongle used on Amazon for $10 - a Canon suggested, the D - Link DBT - 120 Bluetooth USB Adapter Wireless. There is absolutely no way printers can work on most college networks. The reason being that they are public networks and basically anyone can use the printer from anywhere. Therefore, the only other option is a local printing solution. But instead of a cord that need three people to connect whenever they need to print, optional Bluetooth works great and it is easy to put in place.

  Have you installed the utility of the portable system and the first chipset drivers? If this is not the case, the rest of the drivers will not install. How to download and install drivers in the correct order

  Restore your Computer´s factory settings software is a much easier method.
