HP Officejet 4500: Impossible to turn on my HP Officejet 4500 after "Semi - Full Reset"!

I have a HP Officejet 4500, which I use for a long time.

Someone recommended a "semi Full Reset", I did as follows:

1 based on the "*" and "#" keys simultaneously
2 typed 123
3 choose "Reset Menu", then choose "semi Full Reset".
4. press OK.

I was unable to turn the printer on after that! Press and hold the power button does not work. Yes, it is plugged.

[Replying to your own message can have it seems that someone already answered in the thread.]  [Most of the Experts 'HP' in the forums search discussions with no response and not read or respond in threads that are already answered to...]

With regard to the use of the support for reset menu of preforms I suggest you take a look at the post here.  There are risks, and access to grounds in support of the menus are not published by HP.

That said, it may be possible to recover without the need for a call to HP support at this stage.  I suggest the following: unplug all cables from the printer (USB and power supply).  Disconnect the power supply to the printer from the wall.  Wait a minute, then plug the power cord into the wall outlet and connect the power supply to the printer.  Turn on the printer.

If the printer will still not power over you should contact HP.

From a post of Sunshyn2005, contact technical support HP see the following link to create yourself a file number, then call and it can help to expedite the appeal process:

Step 1. Open the link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter the product number or select Auto detection
Step 3. Scroll up to "still need help? Fill out the form to select your contact options.
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: contact HP options - click Get phone number

File number and phone number are displayed.

Plan h - while another user said that it was caused by a file Windows Live problem

This is the thread I can not create a new user account (Windows 7): the user profile service service doesn't have the logon

You find it difficult to follow the thread as it's long and reported problem by different people to confuse it and there is also a bit of bickering [long filaments often end up being quite incomprehensible].

..., See references to the event viewer in the middle of page 4 and Windows Live we [at the bottom of page 2 more on page 3].

I see not the logic of the any of those things, but if one of them do things long enough that you are trying to create new accounts that works, you will know how in the future until a proper solution is found.

This is the useful part where this user has tested the solutions proposed in this thread linked above: -.

This has proved to contain leads to a difficulty.  Have to admit, when I read everything the first time, several days, I did indeed find it confusing and even the parts that I "heard" (sorta) does not appear to be related to my symptoms.

It turns out that the answer of JDMICHAL May 17, 2011 contained this:

    (1) C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows open live
    (2) this directory has two subdirectories with a single file of each. Go into each directory and apply the following:
    (a) make a right click on the file, open the properties.
    (b) click the Security tab.
    (c) it will issue a message: "to continue, you must be an administrative user with permission to view this object's security properties. Would continue you? ». Click on the button continue.
    (d) click on the Add button...
    (e) ' everyone' type in the box at the bottom of the dialog box. Click on "check names"; It should be emphasized the "everyone". Click OK.
    (f) ensure that the new "Everyone" entry "read" and "read & run" check under the column "allow".

After doing this for two files, attempt to connect to the account. He must undergo.

The procedure (bascially) worked... Although the different answers on my system differed slightly along the way (perhaps due to the slightly different versions of Win 7?, because I was already logged in as an administrator?).

In any case, "Everyone" with the read and read/execute permissions adding to these two files seems to have done the trick:

    C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\Bici\Bici1_00.sqm

    and

    C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\SqmApi\SqmData720896_00.sqm

Thank you for leading me to this!

I read people talking about pushing the book button and the button nine as they plug the unit back in... I'm confused because my 8500 has isn't ONE of these buttons, unless there is a hidden pannel I don't know.

My printer refuses to print any of the computers on the network. You turn off, turning on and maybe he'll print for a few minutes, maybe not.

I also left unplugged overnight and it was always the same questions. Today I did a software factory reset, then reconnected to the wireless network.

Any suggestions appreciated because I'm SUPER irritated with this device.

Most likely, the battery is broken. With AppleCare +, a replacement of the battery is free. However, without AppleCare +, a replacement battery will cost $79.

  • My officejet 6000 after each print job's a lot of internal adjustment is this normal?

I just installed an OfficeJet 6000 printer. Connection USB and Windows XP. Before you print the first document in the print head appeared a lot of adjustment and once again the document was printed. The following document has started printing almost immediately, but even once, there was a lot of adjustment once the draw has been completed.

    Is this normal?

    Hello kayliv,

Looks like you can make reference to calibrate the printer performs after each draw. It seems that there is no way to stop it or it is time to decrease. Thus, what you hear is likely to be expected

  • Impossible to turn off

Hey guys I got this problem with two of my apple devices, iphone 4S and an ipad 3. Whenever I have would be to turn the unit off it would automatically go back. The switch is not sticky or perform any type of false contact. I did a restore on the ipad, and it always does.

Also when my iphone would be collector discharge, the connection to the power icon keeps apearing and not extinguish unless it dies completely or I connect to power. This does not happen however on the ipad

No idea why this is happening or how I can fix this problem.

    Ipad and IPhone 4S 9.3.5 3 9.3.4

If an iOS device is disabled, it lights up when you connect it to the power. Which explains what is happening? If this is not the case, try to clean the connector of lightning on the bottom of the unit. Use a magnifying glass light, brilliant, if you need it and a probe not of metal as a toothpick.

  • Impossible to turn off the lights after installed W7 Qosmio F50-113

    Hello

I had some problems with my computer for some time; or, since I installed windows 7 x 64 (bought in an ordinary shop).

My problem is that the subject says.
I can not turn lights which is really annoying, all other touchbutton works correctly, but this one.

I've been Googling around since months, and finally, I decided to post on this forum.

    Bravo Morgan Thowsen (swe)

Edit: I installed the package of w7 and flashed my bios for more later

    Hello

Normally, for all the buttons of enlightenment, you need Toshiba Value Package added. It contains the driver for the lighting and if you have installed this tool correctly, it should be possible to disable the new lighting. You can download it here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

In your case, I would also try cleaning the registry of Windows using CCleaner. Which is a nice freeware tool that can help you too.

[Some administrative of the Windows XP Security Guide templates can prevent you from starting the Windows Firewall service in Windows XP Service Pack 2: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892199]

[You cannot start the Windows Firewall service in Windows XP SP2: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/920074]
