HP Officejet Pro 8600 and Windows 8.1

Vietnamese to 8.1 Windows installation, my printer worked fine.  I installed Windows 8.1 and came across the message - the printer error - before you can perform printer - related tasks...  I deleted and reinstalled the printer and it worked.  I printed several documents yesterday.  This morning went to print and the same error message is appeared, printing error.  I checked under devices and printers, and the HP printer has been grayed out.

Please help in this matter.

My suggestion would be to delete the old settings you have on the PC and re configure to Win8.1

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 + and Inkjet printable BD - R

    Hi all

I have an OfficeJet Pro 8600 + and bought some Inkjet printable BD - R by HP. I can't find a way to print on these discs of the printer that I have. I don't see how the disc can be pulled from the paper tray standard as requiring the flexibility of paper to make turns in the normal way. Is there a secret door, that I can't find?

I really just bought disks for storage and discovered the ability to ink jet after I bought it. If this isn't a big deal, but I would like to take advantage of this and overcome the danger of my crappy writing on discs.  :^)

  • do I have to buy color ink cartridges? HP Officejet Pro 8600 more Windows XP

    HP Officejet Pro 8600 more

    Windows XP

The printer will not print anything (including black and white which is my default setting), at least that I have installed a new yellow ink cartridge.  He says that the cartridge is exhausted and must be replaced before printing.    I have black and white printing color cartridges? Is there a solution? Thank you very much.

    DavidDavid salvation,

Yes, you will need to replace the yellow cartridge to continue printing. Here's a good explanation of the design of the print mechanism, and what is needed to keep them in good working condition. Your printer is user replaceable print head. With this printer's ink lines that need to be filled in ink in this way that the print head should not be clogged jets in turn cause poor print quality problems.

HP, as other printer manufacturers, offers you with permanent print heads printers requiring ink for all colors, avoid the print heads.  HP, like some other manufacturers, also offers printers with user replaceable print heads.  These may of may not require ink in all colors in print, even though damage may occur if the print from the cartridge empty.  Finally, HP as some other manufacturers also offers printers with the printhead into the ink supply.  He is replaced at each change of cartridge.  These printers will happily print with a diet low, empty or many deleted completely same models.

When you buy your next printer (from HP or from another manufacturer) be sure that you understand what is the type of printer and choose one that fits your needs.

  • HP officejet pro 8600 server windows 2003

I'm managing a server hosted by running windows server 2003.  I have a user connects via RDP and trying to map printers.  She has a HP OfficeJet Pro 8600.  I can't find drivers for Windows Server 2003.  I tried the XP driver but it will not be installed.  It says I have the wrong software.

Does anyone have ideas how I can get around this?  I looked into some universal drivers, but they don't make much sense to me.

I had the same problem when you try to install the self-extracting download driver. OS is not compatible...

But it's the right driver, you just have to make a way...

Download and install the driver of HP. (use a third-party zip tool such as 7zip to extract to the folder)

Open Printers and faxes on your 2003 Server window.

Click file, and then select the print server. Install the driver from here. (x 86) Use have disk, and then point to your folder of extraction. Just use the Autorun.inf file.

He has installed the driver and allowed the printer redirect RDP even a Windows 7 PC

    See you soon

  • OfficeJet pro 8600 kills Windows XP Networking

OfficeJet pro 8600, several computers Windows XP networking.

I have 4 different 8600 OfficeJet Pro installed on 4 different sites, purchased from different vendors. In any case, I get the same problem.

There is a network problem. All printers are connected to the network.

The printer is not the cause of the problem. The problem persists even if the printer is turned off.

The problem is that: when the computer is turned on all night, the next morning, Web pages aren't accessible, and the networks of communication with the printer is missing. You cannot print, and you can not navigate.

You can ping the router, ping the external DNS servers, and you can test Web pages. Navigation is affected. And printing.

Turning the printer off and restarts do not affect the problem. Restarting the computer solves the problem.

Kill all the services of iexplorer running in taxk Manager solves the problem.

HP support says it is a XP problem and they have no intension to work on the problem. They think it's a network problem disconnected operating system after 2 hours. They are wrong. I left the computer alone for more than 4 hours and the problem is. It occurs if you leave the computer on all night.

Windows XP-based computers were all updated for the latest updates and are running SP3.

The solution is to disable the computer function on computer analysis, solves the problem of navigation.  Always change the notification of ink for printing only.  This action has resolved the problem of printing defect.

I have the latest version of the software and the latest firmware.

I can't believe that if panasonic can write software because it has networked copiers (all printers) that still work and are easy to install on windows xp, HP cannot write similar software.  I am referring to analyze computer software.

  • Need help to set up officejet pro 8600 and scanning to the network on OSX Lion folder

    Hello

I'm trying to implement my Officejet Pro 8600 more scan to a network under OSX Lion folder.  I have correctly set up the printer otherwise (and can scan and flown from my Mac).  I created SMB sharing as described in the documentation.  My only question is what to enter in the Web server of the printer when it asks for the network path of the shared folder.

For example, I have the following shared folder:

    / Users/me/Documents/scans/Durable goods received

on my computer that has name is:

    My iMac

    has an IP address:

    172.16.1.4

wonder web server of the printer a network path (for example: \\mypc\sharedfolder) but I do not know how to translate my way above in the correct format.

    I tried the following:

    AFP://172.16.1.4//users/me/documents/scans/durable------Goods\ recipes

    but he doesn't like it.

    I also tried:

    Recipes of \\172.16.1.4\Users\bvz\Documents\scans\Durable of goods.

    Nothing helps.

Thanks for any help or ideas!

    Hello

First of all, make sure to install the latest firmware for the printer.

SMBX (used by Lion sharing protocol) support added lately, and the device fails to access any forlder Lion shared with an older FW version:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02919168

You have shared the folder durable goods received ?

If so, I guess the correct path would be as follows:

    \\172.16.1.4\Durable goods received

Please let me know of any changes,

  • HP officejet pro 8600 and connectivity

I have a hp officejet pro 8600 more and that you have connected the system to my old pc (win xp operating system) via a USB cable.

I also want to use the printer from my laptop (WIN 7 64 bit) via my wireless network.

I took a peek on the site www.hp.com/go/customercare and I'm still unsure of what I need to make connections and what setting I should follow to get the old PC and my laptop running.

Should I remove the USB cable and set up a WiFi network only, or use the USB and wireless network?

Assuming that both computers are connected to the same router wired / wireless, then the easy way to do this is to connect the printer to the router (only).

I recommend that connect you the printer to the router with an Ethernet cable, if it is located close to the router.  A Wi - Fi connection is also possible.  Use the Wireless Setup Wizard in the network menu on the front of the printer to establish a wireless connection.

Once the printer is connected to your router, download and install the latest version of the software for your printer from the "Support & drivers" link at the top of this page.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8620 and Windows 64 bit 8.1

A week ago, I bought a HP Officejet Pro 8620, but the printer never worked. It can scan and copy, but no impression at all. I tried uninstalling, reinstalling the software also using HP printer Installation Wizard. I also tried printing HP and doctor Scan, but nothing worked. It prints even an HP print test page and scan doctor, but she does not Windows print. In fact, when I tried to check the printer properties in windows and start a test where page, a message that it is not possible to print because of the driver is not correct in suggesting to ask HP a good pilot. Can I ask you... the printer driver is not compatible with 8.1 64-bit windows? And if so, why do you sell saying it's compatible? And why don't release you a new driver?

    Hi there is Andel,

    Please come back to me

Notepad will print with the firewall disabled or active. That's good news.

I'm curious to know if you try to print from a specific program that is not printing, or y at - it print a lot of programs do not? Have what programs you tried? (Microsoft Word 2010 for example)

You can also try to configure the firewall settings to allow the printer. Who can help.

How to change the firewall settings

Another idea would be to create a new account of a user with administrator privileges. It may be a problem with one of the accounts if it does not print.

Good luck, I would like to know how it goes

    Hello

You are able to print a self - test page, or print a document - you get the same black line when printing.

You try to copy from the glass of the scanner or automatic document feeder?

If the printout is fine without the black line and the problem only occurs when you copy - follow the steps mentioned in the document.

    Hi @jstjean204,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I see that you can not print duplex in Windows 10, with your printer HP Officejet 8600. I'm happy to help you!

It is possible, that a driver conflict is at the root of the problem. I recommend trying the following steps in the following order:

Then I ran the HP print and Scan Doctor, to check that everything has been installed and working properly.

I hope this solves your problem and I thank you for posting!

  • OfficeJet PRO 8600: 10 Windows cannot print checks with Excel sheet I used in Windows 7

I received an update for Windows 10 Windows 7 without having to ask (impressive!). I had set up an Excel spreadsheet in Windows 7 Office 10, which worked very well, even if it has been formatted as a 8.5 by 11 "page in landscape. I had to Center vertically on the page. In Windows 10 my 8600 PRO now gives me an error that the blank check is an invalid page size. How can I get the printer to accept the blank check? The upgrade to 10 change settings in the printer driver?

As unable to uninstall the printer: there is a utility developed by Microsoft to help troubleshoot when a program cannot be uninstalled or installed.  The Microsoft FixIt tool can be found here.
