HP OfficeJet Pro 8610: my printer HP Officejet pro 8610 ceased two-sided printing

Even if I check duplex printing as my selection, the print job is unilateral.  This feature is used to work perfectly.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi @-donna-1,.

Thanks for getting back to me.

Did you follow the steps described in the guide to see if you have the HP two sides printing accessory (duplexer) installed?

In the section: How can I auto duplex if my printer support?

If the problem persists, follow these steps:

Fix permissions of the drive on the Mac:

  1. Close all applications.
  2. In the Apple menu, click OK, click Applications, and then click utilities.
  3. Double-click disk utility.
  4. Highlight your hard drive / partition on the left.
  5. Click on check and then repair disk permissions.
  6. Restart the computer.

Reset the printing system:

Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer deleted can be re-added later by clicking the sign plus (+) symbol.

  1. Click on the Apple icon and then click on System Preferences.
  2. Click on printers and scanners.
  3. Make a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left white side panel, and then click Reset Printing System.
  4. Click OK to confirm the reset.
  5. Type the name and the correct password.
  6. Click OK to reset the printing system.

Add the printer:

  1. Then click the + to add the driver, select the printer (you may need to click the drop down menu to select the name of the printer).
  2. Then click the Add button. Do not add the AirPrint driver.
  3. Now, try to double-sided printing.

I hope this helps.

    Hello chogan

The ADF on the Officejet Pro 8600 N911a doesn't have the possibility to make a double-sided copy. This is because the ADF doesn't have a duplex unit to get the original in paper and flip so that the other side can be copied.

You can make copies front and back of the dumpster by setting the option and flipping the page once the first side is copied.

  • How to enable two-sided printing on MacBook Pro with Canon MX490 printer

    Hello

I have the MacBook Pro (retina, 13-inch, early 2013) and OS X version 10.11.4 (15E65) and Printer series Canon MX490.

When I try to make a double-sided, the printer settings printing does not allow me activate two-sided printing.

Also when I go into the settings of the printer, there is no option for me to select this option to enable printing double-sided or duplex printing etc..

When I try to print with TextEdit settings, I still get the same printer settings and it does not allow me to enable two-sided printing.

I couldn't find answers online, and frankly it's frustrating. I would appreciate if anyone can help with the problem.

    Thank you very much!

This is the screenshot of the settings under the printer to textedit. Sorry I don't tie with the original message earlier.

  • LaserJet pro M277dw MFP: double-sided printing

Really frustrating! New printer, put in place and works well with El Capitan except I can't seem to find a way to configure for automatic duplex copy. Read all the forums, but the options do not exist with El Capitan! Can someone help me please?

    Hello

You related to automatic duplex printing or copy? While your title refers to printing your description refer to the copy...

Regarding printing, follow the steps below to automatically print double-sided print jobs:

In the file being used to print click the file menu and select print.
NOTE: The print window might be minimized. Press show details to show all available print option.

In the print window expanded you will find next to Copies the checkbox for duplex. Select the check box.
NOTE: If the check box does not appear in the specific application print dialog box, skip this step.

To select the connection type click the selection box below, listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.

    5. Select the menu drop down.

    6. set the duplex option as the binding edge (Portrait) Long or short edge (landscape) bond.

You can save the settings for later use by clicking preset > save current settings as preset. By default, a used preset will remain until another preset will be used.

About two-sided copying, the M277dw offer that duplex printing features, not copy both sides of a document original two-sides.

  • two by printing two-sided page on Win XP networking 4215

    Hello

First off let me say my Officejet 4215xi is attached to a Windows XP PC & everything works perfectly from there.

Problems of printing from a computer on a network Windows 7 when I try to print two-sided & two pages per sheet.

The PC Win 7, I'm capable, by selecting "Manuel Duplex" under print & "2 pages per sheet" by virtue of the Finish, create a 2 by printing two-sided page except that the pages are out of order.  For example a 4 page document everything fits on a piece of paper but: on the first side, 1 & 3 pages print while pages 2 & 4 print the second side.

Are a lot of options under the finishing on the Win XP PC where the printer is connected & the suite resides, but on PC Win 7 (with drivers only), the finishing options are greatly reduced.

"Printing shortcuts" seemed promising until I found that the option "Print On Both Sides" can be disabled.

Change Layout Options / Page order of "Front to Back" to the 'back to Front' did not help either.

Any ideas, any help greatly appreciated,

    Thank you

PS Si I jump the duplex & simply to print 2 pages per sheet that they print in order but of course only on one side of the paper.  It looks like the manual Duplex may be the culprit.

I just fixed my problem - by buying a new printer Epson

  • HP m225dw pro: two-sided copy of hp m225dw and scan

    Hello guys,.

I just bought a HP Pro m225dw and I decided on this printer because I found in the description, it supports automatic two-sided printing/copying/scanning.

Yesterday I got so excited at first, but then I was disappointed, because I was not able to scan/copy automatically on both sides.

I followed the exact steps of the Manual:

Copy on both sides automatically 1. Loading original documents into the tray with the first page up and leading the top of the page. 2 adjust the paper guides to fit the size of the document. 3. open the settings menu to copy: ● LCD control panel: on the product control panel, press the copy settings. Control panel touch ●: from the home screen on the product control panel, tap the copy button and then press the button.4 of settings. Select duplex. 5. use the arrows to scroll through the options and then select the appropriate option. 6. start the copy job: ● LCD control panel: press the Start button. ● touch control panel: Tap Start copy

But on my touch screen I have only two choices - 1 to 1 or 1-sided to 2 sides.  I don't have a duplex option, as he claims.

Help, please. I'm doing something wrong? Help, please!

    Hello prichindelu,

  • Print two-sided Photosmart 7510

I'm running Mac OSX 10.9.3 and a pilot recently re-installed for my Photosmart 7510 (long story on renewed OSX installation). Any application that I use, I am unable to get the 7510 to start to print at the long edge binding. It ONLY prints in short-edge binding. I have re-installed the driver 2 X and downloaded 2 X so it should be no problem in this regard. Someone has an idea?

    Hi dominik_12,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I understand that you are not able to select Long Edge binding when you try to print to your HP Photosmart 7510. You have tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver unsuccessfully on the BONES of the Mavericks. I want to make sure we select the HP driver and not the AirPrint driver who would give only limited options.

    Complete the following steps:

    Reset the printing system

    1. click on the Apple icon and then click on System Preferences.

    2. in the hardware section, click Print & Telec. Dialog print & fax opens.

    3. make a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left panel, and then click Reset printing system...

    4. click OK to confirm the reset.

5 type the name and the correct password.

    6. click OK to reset the printing system. The dialog box Print & Fax shows no printer selected.

    Add the PS 7510:

    1. click on the sign plus (+) sign and locate the PS 7510, highlight the printer

2 in the section using printing, make sure that you select the driver HP PS 7510 and not one AirPrint.

See the image below (you want to click the HP not the AirPrint driver):

Now that we have the PS 7510 driver selected, please open the program or document you are interested in printing and follow the steps here:

    1. click on the command Apple + P , your print dialogue box opens, click on the option view details at the bottom left (it may already be open)

2 just below the Orientation section, click on the arrows to access the drop-down list, and then select page layout

    3. now you should see the two-sided printing of the menu drop down, here you can select Long Edge binding.

    4. click on print

Now able to print successfully long edge bind you? Please let me know if this was helpful, I'll watch for your reply.

    Thank you

  • HP Color LaserJet M553: M553 - cannot print two-sided

    Hello

We have a new HP Color Laserjet M553 (B5L24A) which is not allowing us to automatic duplex.  He is currently runinng via a Windows 2008 R2 server and is network connected via IP static on the Ethernet cable.

I tried several steps of troubleshooting so far:

-Several including UPD PS 6.0 5.8 PS, PS 5.5, PCL5 printer driver

-Several print on print server objects

-Confirmed the 'device settings tab' has the duplexer enabled on the local print server and print objects

-Updated firmware for the last datecode 20150731

-Tested printing from several applications, word, outlook, pdf, internet Explorer, textfile, etc...

-The same problem happening to all connected users

The printer accepts orders for manual, automatic duplex printing simply cannot.  No error messages didn't report on Panel print, printer, client or server.  Trying to get your hands on a 2nd M553 so that I can confirm a double problem or not.

Feels like a problem with the firmware where he does not understand the command duplexing automatic normal or did not recognize the duplexer is installed.

    Any ideas?

Your model is not the two-sided model.  The duplex model is B5L25A and will say about this M553dn not M553n who is your model.

  • Example: HP PHOTOSMART 7529e: how to make two-sided printing automatically with printer HP 7520

All I'm doing is to make my printer two sided front or double.  No matter what I check IT DOES NOT WORK.  I checked "2 sides, 1-2, NOTHING.  What amazes me is that it worked until recently and now he just does not have double-sided printing.  I'm probably doing something wrong, but WHAT?

In General, duplex printing is consulted / adjusted printing preferences.

If you print from an application, for example, in Word or in your browser, you reach the printing of the preview preferences before printing.

    Reference:

Manage the print with preview output before printing

    Excerpt:

    • Print - print options access preview

The browser page > file > print > properties

    Access Printing Preferencesproperties:

Paper Source (tray selection), paper size, media, Orientation, print on both sides, page order

  • Need help with the issue of two-sided printing

We have a printer D1350.  It is directly connected to a PC and shared with other computers on our network.  In the past I printed two-sided with binding on the long edge with no problems at any one of the computers.  Recently he began to ignore my settings and print double-sided copies with link short edge no matter how I said to print from a PC.  All other PCs are able to print correctly.

All PC's had Windows 7 OS when the problem started.

We have upgraded to Windows 10 and the printer does not at all, we uninstalled the printer drivers and then re-installed both and it will not print correctly from a PC.

I checked for updated drivers, still will not print properly with a PC.

What arrangement could have changed on this PC it's ruin?

  • HP Laserjet M553: HP Laserjet M553 leaves two-sided printing

I'm running 10 Windows on a desktop HP Envy with a printer HP Laserjet M553. I have this printer for a little more than a month.  I was able to print two-sided dox on this printer with only one or two times before this opportunity not to print on one page (front and back).  In these situations, I was able to stop the printer and the computer, and then restart both and duplexing continued.  Now, happened for the 3rd time after several weeks of use unless it occurs and it refuses to print duplex style once rebooted, even having to sit off the power, unplug computer and wall of a catch of the day to the next.  Anyone else have this problem or have any suggestions as to why this is occuring?

Unless you send a primitive regime print jobs (such as DOS, or non-TASSES * n * x systems), default values or settings of the printer itself will not usually come into play.

With print jobs generated by modern windows and * n * x systems, the printing itself must contain printer-language 'orders' to select the mode of plex. the printer should just obey them.

The only possible exception is if you chose some document types (e.g., transparency); for these types of paper, you must use "manual duplex printing" rather than "auto duplex printing.

Maybe you (inadvertently) select printing in your application, or preferably driver printer settings?

  • Photosmart 7525 does not as advertised two-sided printing

I just bought a printer Photosmart 7525, partly because my upgrade to Maverick on my MAC is my 3200 Series obsolete and she was acting strangely.  The new printer has taken longer to implement than I expected (not exactly an intuitive process and he had not provided all the guidance documents). I managed to get more work, but there is no option to select two-sided printing when you print directly from Word. I had to go through 3 non-intuitive screens to find the print options for the pages even / odd - it's much easier to save in pdf format and get rid of Acrobat.  But I still do not think the double-sided printing option that is promised in the product documentation.  I find some online reviews maybe I need an accessory, but I thought that the product has come with the ability.

    Please notify.

    Thank you

    Hi hybridgeek,

Thanks for keeping me posted. Unlike programs preinstalled, Mac print options two sides is hidden in settings. If you open the print dialog box, click on the area of lowest selection - Copies & Pages, select from the drop down.

Set the duplex option as the binding Edge Long (Portrait) or binding Long Edge (landscape). You can save the settings for later use by clicking preset > save current settings as a preset and naming.
