  Bob, I, personally, would eliminate the settings to see if that helps.  When you do this it can give you a clue to the other program involved.  The worst that can happen is that you need to reinstall the other program.

• Something keeps me from running Dban

  Something keeps me running Dban correctly. DBAN starts and then ends really fast, saying "no fatal errors.

  I get error messages saying * error/dev/sda (crash of the process).

  I did a little research but I don't understand too well. Looks like I have to turn something off in the Bios so that it runs properly. Can someone walk me through what I need to do?

  I recently started my PC double so I'm now using Linux mint and windows 7. I want to switch to Linux completely and get rid of Windows 7, but I still have my recovery discs HP where I always want to go back.

  However, somone told me on the forums Linux Mint restore HP expects partitions be the same when the machine has been used so if I mess around with the partitions to get rid of Windows, then the restore feature will no longer function. Is this true?

  Even if does not work try reinstalling the OS from the HP recovery Partition probably, your set of recovery disks should have no problem - in addition, if you ever have to replace the HARD drive, your recovery disks will work also without problem.

  The procedure first formats the disc, then recreates all original scores - the machine will be in the State it was in when first purchased (IE any custom partition will be lost).

  There are 2-5, 25 "drive bays and bays 3 - 3.5".  You can check how many are available.  There are 4 SATA connectors on the motherboard.  Check how many are available.  You should be able to add at least 1 more 1 TB hard drive to the computer.  I am not sure that the limit is a single hard drive.

  Here is a video card that works in your motherboard and your price range.  The problem you have is to find one that will work with the existing 300W power supply unit (PSU).  Also, you can't go much lately because these video cards require UEFI in the motherboard rather than a standard BIOS.

  Have a Pavilion p6000, SN MXX0490MHH, product # BT543AA #ABA.  Provided 4 x 2 GB with 8 GB of ram installed on the chips.  Operating system is Windows 8.1.  Upgrade to 16 GB and bought 4 x 4 GB DDR3 1333 MHz, DIMM parts.  Does not seem to accept the new memory.  Question: Is this good memory, and this system will support 16 GB.

  We cannot answer your question, given the information you have posted.  You can certainly search the forum for others who may or may not have success the upgrade of your particular PC model to 16 GB.

  Try to clear the CMOS memory. If this does not solve the problem then test each one dimm at a time.  Don't forget, with the former PC HP DIMMs need to be a game.

  Try this memory bootable Diagnostics CD. Download memtest86 iso file and burn the disk using Imgburn.

  Memtest86 4.20 more Installer USB.  Test each dimm one at a time then as a complete set.

  This certainly isn't PCIe 3.0, but a card PCIe 3.0 will work in your motherboard. You will certainly need to upgrade at least 500W POWER supply because it is a 6 + 8 PCIe power connector pins required.  My preference is at least a power supply of 700 w for a game system. The original power supply in your PC doesn't have the PCIe power connector. Your PC case will accommodate an ATX PSU.

• No Pavilion P6000 desktop no signal to follow after the lightning

  I had a lightning which has taken on my desktop HP P6000 computer.

  The model number is QN641AA.

  It would not be a signal to the screen. I left the power cord DVI on the graphics card to the motherboard DVI port and it worked for a few minutes.

  I replaced the motherboard with a modernized one and a new graphics card. The renovated is not the same, there a few more places to plug things in exacptly. It is supposed to be compatible and it's HP.

  I also replaced the processor with a new since I damaged the old a. He has been blocked for the cooling fans and I broke 2 pins.

  I don't always get a signal. The hard drive is running, I can hear it. There are no beeps and no lights on the keyboard.

  Any ideas?

  I took it to a computer store. The guy he just tested and said that it's a bad mother "renovated".

  That being said, it doesn't seem to be much difference this time for what model you like they have all the same drivers.

  Sometimes it may be important because there are always a few subtle differences between versions (there must be a reason to make a new version isn't here!).

  On your case, you should have a label and the label must include information such as your model number. On some machines, it is on the other side is on the back or even some place on top.

• In what directory Pages stores my models?

  I just did a clean install of Sierra. Before doing so, I backed up my documents, made a disk image of the drive and ran Time machine. I had *-U - MEd my models were either in Documents or Application Support, but after the installation of 6 Pages, I both can't find where I drag my old models, even if I could find them on the previous disk image. Please notify.

  If you are migrating your data and files using migration Assistant in your folder utilities, the models have to migrate with your software.
