HP pavilion 17 e049wm question win7 usb
Hi it :-)
I just installed Win7 on my new e049wm Pavilion 17 and installed what I think are all the drivers (following the instructions in this link, on the account that Win7 seems to be unsupported for the e049wm so far)
It works pretty well, but my device manager still reports an unknown PCI device, SM Bus controller, USB controller and unknown device. In addition, two usb ports on the left side of my laptop don't work! : s there at - it gurus of support out there that might lead me in the right direction to solve this? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I would be disappointed to be forced using Windows 8 when it requires users to have accounts of microsoft simply use several 3rd party applications.

I recently bought the refurbished hp pavilion 17-e049wm laptop. There the A10-5750 AMD processor and corresponding AMD graphics card.
My question is... will I be able to drive a display resolution of 2560 x 1440 the HDMI output? I read one place that this computer can support up to this resolution, with the right HDMI cable. If yes/no, also what is the highest resolution that I can run on an external monitor? I am wanting to switch to an external monitor for home use.
It will be too much of a strain for my laptop, or if it will work OK?

I found the answer myself.
I went to a store selling monitors with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and they DID NOT work with my HP via the HDMI connection. Although the chipset is capable of this resolution, the driver provided by AMD is not allowing it to happen. I tried to add my own higher resolution, but it would not allow me to create whatever it is above 1080 p, essentially.
Yes, we tried two cables HDMI v1.4a 'high speed '.
No luck.
I hope that HP and AMD allow that to happen in the software someday.

Recently, I upgraded my OS to Windows 10 and follow the procedure to create a system backup and recover and restore the Flash Drive. When I try to start my HP Pavilion p7-1451 from a USB I just get the HP Logo. Do I need to change the settings on the HP?
Use the esc key when you see the HP logo, it should give you a list of startup, and then press F9 to get a list of boot devices, then choose your USB key from this list and press ENTER.

I bought a HP pavilion m6 1002-tx win7 Home Premium 64 - bit two weeks back. (November 30, 2012)
I am not able to connect my ethernet lan because the system loses the connection just as I connect to the adapter. Its continually go... like... ID disconnected... identify... disconnected... and so on.
It is a Realtek PCIe GBE family controller (Version: 7.54.309.2012). I checked the Ethernet driver lan on the hp support site and it is even installed on my system.
Please help me solve this problem.
Check if the connection is really good. Other laptops are able to use this ethernet cable? Try to change the speed and duplex to 10/semester, it will be useful.

Pavilion 17-e049wm white screen in the lower right.
Hi all, I havn't turned on my laptop some time, but I just noticed when I turned it on. I got it just around Christmas (Pavilion 17-e049wm) there is only a thick line about an inch in size, but it goes up to half of the screen on the right, starting at the bottom and it is white on a blue background, no. have damage has been done to it, it has not been lit for long periods of time , that I don't even keep the battery in it when I'm in my room. Any ideas what could bring it? or how to fix?

Pavilion 500-424: loaded win7 need a driver for the USB controller
We bought and installed Win7 Ultimate after creating the Win8 recovery media. I downloaded and installed the drivers for Win7, we checked before the change to verify that the drivers were available. It is an AMD System. In the section chipset, there are 6 pilots. 3 AMD and Intel 3. I've installed all the AMD, but I still have the "(USB) Universal Serial Bus controller" left uninstalled. Only bootcamp v 4.1 and 5 will support win 7 in all, deleted MS support before that BONES 10.11 came out and bootcamp support is no longer NEW installs of it. Grandfathered installs os Win 7 can still be access by bootcamp or installed through vmware, parallels or virtual box.
El Cap comes with 6 BootCamp.
If you have not already start to a previous operating system instance if you have a TM backup or another boot device at your disposal.

Pavilion dv8000: win7 usb ports dv8000 for has stopped working
all 4 of the usb ports on my dv8000 has stopped working. Ive tried to update the drivers, no luck. He originally had XP as an operating system, but it has been upgraded to windows 7, I don't know if usb disks are corrupt or what. When I plug anything into the usb ports, it does nothing. Ive been trying to get this fixed for so long and his frustration, someone knows how to fix this?

I have conducted research on software and compatible driverscommits and have found that your laptop has no compatible drivers for Windows 7.
Alternatively, you can try to update the drivers of USB port in Device Manager by following this document on How to install a driver in Device Manager. If it does not install the necessary drivers for the USB communication, you may need to downgrade to Windows Vista (32 bit).

Decommissioning of Pavilion 15-n287cl for Win7
Wife got a new Pavilion TouchSmart 15-n287cl and she hated Windows 8. I told him that I him downgrade to 7 after she has spent some time with her and hated 8... disabled Smart Boot, got Win7 installed just fine. Starts in 7 for the first time and I tried to install the drivers from the disk and a bootable USB key and got said that none of the drivers would work. Curious, because I've never had problems in the past. I went to the HP site and saw the drivers for my product:
Nothing of value is listed in the Windows 7 options. Did someone had a similar experience in decommissioning/when trying to find the Win7 drivers on a computer that is preinstalled with Win8?

I know know that HP does not have drivers for win7 for Pavilion 15-b054st (win8 was preinstalled on it), but in any case, I'm looking for drivers for Win7... I have already installed everything except a Unkownd USB device. Windows cannot find the driver automatically. can you recommend anything to install the driver manually or at least to tell the creator of devices possible?
