  OK, just to clarify: you always use the same Apple ID, but you changed its name, correct?

  If this is the case, you can go to iCloud.com or use find my iPhone app (free on the App Store) of one of your devices to remove the 4th icloud.

  Your machine accepts 8 GB of RAM, it has 2 connectors means that each slot can have 4 GB. Your machine currently has 6 GB of RAM, its configuration must be 4 + 2 GB. • Pavilion 15 laptop: DVD does not play correctly

  Last year, I bought a HP Pavilion 15 laptop but not the has not used to play DVD until last night. When I inserted the DVD, the computer gave me a bunch of files, I assumed they were the video clips. When play you a DVD on a TV screen, you see the main menu, and other options such as subtitles or film scenes that you can select to start. But I could not see these selections on my computer screen. However, at some point, they have shown. When they showed up, I was not able to click on them. Basically, I could only click Arrow Start to start the movie in its entirety, if I stopped and wanted to select certain scene in the middle of the movie, I was out of luck and unable to do so. At least three times, the DVD stopped playing and says was a mistake, then I had to restart the whole thing again.

  Frustrated, I took my old laptop Dell Windows XP and played the DVD disc it. My old machine actually has everything I wanted to, it has a control panel with all the buttons to play, Pause, Stop, Rewind, forward and sound Volume, etc. He worked as a TV and listed all the options/movie scenes I could select on what I intended to choose.

  I have a hard time believing that a one-year-old Windows 8.1 has fewer features than an old Dell XP. Is there a setting that I don't tip? Someone has an idea, which is not set correctly?

  I understand that you are having difficulty playing your DVDs to the point 8.1 of Windows but it will play well in your XP machine.

  Microsoft did not include as many files codec in Windows 8 as in previous versions.  Here are a few links that I think can be useful:

• can not get the new hard drive to work in the Pavilion ze4805us laptop

  have an HP pavilion ze4805us laptop which had a total hard drive failure... recovery disks were lost in a fire... replaced the hard drive with a Western Digital 250 GB drive... computer recognizes the drive, but with only 137 GB... impossible to obtain the Windows Millennium disk to install... I have it get the PXE - E61 error code... have looked for answers and tried a few suggestions to fix the error code, but no luck so far... would like to throw this laptop and runs again, it was so nice all in operation.   At the level of the BIOS, HARD drive should show the full capacity regardless of the distribution, but it will be limited based on what the current logical block installed the BIOS supports.  For example, the 250 GB HDD Needs LBA 48 bit to be recognized by the BIOS in its entirety.  Western Digital only provides downloads of software and support going back to Windows XP.  Windows Millennium Edition is not able to recognize the full capacity of the drive.  Finding drivers compatible with Windows ME is perhaps another challenge that XP uses a different architecture than Windows ME done.

  It seems that this laptop is the same time that the books mentioned in this thread.  Response from JackShack gives the best explanation as to why he shows quite different in the BIOS.  It has been many years, but I do not remember that the capacity of the HARD disk had exceeded what the BIOS at the time supported resulting in the 137 GB limit displayed in the BIOS.  This section of Western Digital shows that this problem is related to the operating system or BIOS supporting however, this should not prevent Windows to install correctly.

  I'm sure it's already done, as it was not a new BIOS since 2004, but guarantee the newest BIOS is installed.  Logical block address 48 bits, necessary for the larger disks (larger for the time) was released in 2003.  The 2004 related BIOS earlier than probably took supported LBA.  What is the current version of BIOS?

It seems that a Windows operating system has been installed and some USB ports do not work properly. Please provide the name, version, and the "bit" version of the operating system currently installed.

  If you use Windows 7, please download and install the USB 3.0 driver: controller driver eXtensible host of Intel® USB 3.0 for the family of chipsets Intel® 8 series/C220 to see if that solves your problem. • Catastrophic customer service, Pavilion dv7 laptop STILL not repaired, shuts down randomly

  I've had a Pavilion dv7-6c95dx for over 6 months now and 1 week after I bought it, the laptop began to stop randomly. Firstly that it happened sometimes, usually once a week. When this problem occurred, I had to open the Task Manager, as well as SpeedFan and Manager tasks showed that everything worked well minus 50% of their capacity and SpeedFan has indicated that all systems (HARD drive, processor, motherboard) were running at 50 degrees Celsius (when I talked with a representative from HP on the phone, they told me that their products are supposed to operate at the maximum temperature is 90 degrees Celsius). I assumed it was a small issue, and, after a few months, to see if Windows 7 because of the problem, I installed Ubuntu (Linux). The same problem. I then reinstalled Windows 7, Ubuntu and even threw in a copy of Windows 8 for good measure and the same problem kept happening, but now it would be up to 4 TIMES a DAY. It would be closed (meaning that just go to a black screen, with the familiar sound of hard-stop which makes the fan) usually when I'm either: play a video game, who does not use a lot of RAM or CPU at all and is not graphic, or watch a YouTube video, usually HD and full screen. I'd hear the fan starts pumping a little (I knew it could get loud if necessary, but it's never told fort) and usually after a minute or two, he would have hard stop and then restart itself. So after 3 months of daily irritations, I decided to take my laptop to Geek Squad in the best buy, the store where I bought the unit. Geek Squad was no help: I sent the unit in 4 TIMES and first they said that the problem was "A defective HDD," they replaced, without success, and the other 3 times, they could not reproduce the problem, so that was the MONTH wholly wasted and worn out waiting for my computer back. I then asked to call HP, in the store, because when I called HP, I was not able to get a straight answer and HP, after AN HOUR of talking on the phone in the store, with a Geek Squad Manager, has reluctantly agreed to send me a box to pack up my computer and send it to HP service center. I received a call from HP after the computer and surprise, surprise, they could not reproduce the problem either! I asked about a policy of lemon no., and they said they didn't know what to do to that, of course, continue to send the laptop. When I got my laptop, I also got an email from HP asking me to rate my experience, and after I gave them the low ratings consistenly, so only I was able to speak to a case under the name of Kevin E Manager. He told me that I have to send the laptop in for "more extensive testing" (I'm not sure what this means, should not run them not testing the most extensive possible THE FIRST TIME AROUND)?) and when I asked about the policy of lemon no., he said after I send it, they will look at "other options." This time, the heat sink has been replaced, because for some reason, the laptop was running at 90 degrees Celsius, (which never happened in all my time to possess, to the best of my knowledge) but, of course, they were unable to reproduce the original problem. When I got my laptop, there was still the problem. When I called HP back, Kevin told me that at this point, they may send a representative to my home. 15 minutes before the arrival of the local representative, the closed laptop. I was relieved, because I thought it meant that I could reproduce the problem and show him. However, after waiting for an hour, with more applications running that generally required to shut down the computer, he WORKS PERFECTLY. As a matter of fact, the representative took the home unit for 3 days, and it worked perfectly. When she returned, of course, could do nothing about it.
