  I am trying to remove the back door to upgrade memory.  There is a video at http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02062583 but my laptop doesn't have the two pins at the rear of the battery shown in the video Bay.  I tried to slide the battery/service electric strike (see below), but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

  Anyone has any advice on how to release the lid?

  After that long use battery on my laptop has died (RIP).

  It was a good race, but now I need a replacement, and until now, no one can tell me what it will be.

  I brought my original battery at Best Buy - no luck, they don't have any.

  Hi guys, currently im using a charger for my hp dv6-6153sa, but I need to cut this short story, so you'll understand.

  First, I changed the motherboard in this laptop, the motherboard is the HP pavilion dv6-6198sp however, the battery is a HP dv6-6b60sa.

  The charger I use is a HP dv6-6153sa, which is a 90w charger. 19V 4. 74A

  So am I right in thinking I would be better off using a 120 Watt charger?

  The specifications I've seen shows that a 120 Watt power adapter is required for both. So yes, you must use a power adapter 120 Watt.

  I plug the AC adapter with the battery in place, but I don't know that it is the best practice for it.

  I heard that the battery becomes weaker when it is connected to the power adapter of all time.

  If you are using Notepad on the current, almost all the time, I suggest to store the battery that the machine will work perfectly without it installed and you win the advantage to increase the useful life of your battery.

  The main factors affecting the service life of a lithium-ion battery are the number of charge/discharge cycles and if stored, temperature.

  If you want to store the battery, drain to almost 40% load, and remove, wrap in a bag in plastic and store it in a cool place like a refrigerator (not freezer).  It is also a good idea, once a month, to load completely, completely discharge, fully charge and then drain them 40% again before putting it away.

  No, but understand this isn't a real HP battery. The working hypothesis is simply the ability of the cells. Watt hours. It does not affect the current quantity battery provides the laptop at all times.

  The 601 error is a problem with the main battery which I think is just old. Have you tried to remove the battery and leave the laptop with only the power adapter?
