  I searched this forum and found great help the diagnosis for the problem with my dv7 - 3063cl from the beginning, but now I need to contact hp for help tech and can't figure out how.  I done a hard reset on my work laptop and got a set of LEDS which all light, cooling fan humming, but screen white and no sound of hd.  The troubleshooting page I told me that it was time to contact hp, but I could use help knowing how.  I'm well beyond my warranty and I would like to know what the problem is so I can try to revive my system.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

  Thanks for the reply. The link you sent me did not enough help. However, after you type the question on the blog earlier, I decided to restart my computer. The problem won't happen again.

  I don't think I have toggled the Overtype feature and he must have had a little problem with my touchpad wireless mouse I was using. When I had the problem I tried of being the function of inserting by pressing the "fn" key and "0/ins' or the 'fn' key key using and ' prstsc/ins' at the same time key.   It can start pretty quickly

  Try the next method.

  Hold the left SHIFT key you click Shutdown to temporarily prevent hybrid boot.

  Let off the laptop computer for 10 seconds.

  Start by typing esc button permanently as soon as you press the power button (do not wait for the prompt) and see if it will access the start menu - if that is the case, select f10 to open the Bios Menu.

  The notification area icon displays only a wireless connection, although the ethernet cable is connected to the laptop.  HP Connection Manager shows that both wired and wireless connections are active.  All of my previous laptop (not HP) had different icons for wireless to a wired connection in the notification area.  HP has a different icon for a wired connection?  If so, why it doesn't show in the notification area?
