HP Pavilion dv7 to Dish network Service connection

I recently bought a HP Clubhouse dv7 with a built in TV tuner. I have cable through DISH network TV and I m struggling to get my laptop connected to my cable DISH service. I tried the antena analog TV came with the laptop and I m able to receive free channels on the air.

The instruction manual for the TV tuner configuration asks me to take a coaxial cable from the RECORDER 'Out' port and connect it to the laptop using the coaxial adapter provided. However I have not a coaxial "Out" port on my DVR. I have another TV connected directly by a coaxial cable. I tried to connect the laptop to the coaxial cable and still I m unable to detect the TV channels. Can someone please give me some advice on what to do to get my TV tuner with my DISH service card.

Thanks in advance.

Ravi

Dish Network is not cable TV, it is satellite television.  You need to connect your direct dish network receiver tuner; don't forget, you'll also see only the layers that work the same way they do that is connected to your regular TV, meaning channel 3, or 73.  Then, you use the Dish Network remote to tune to channels.

IMO, you do not want to connect Dish Network to a laptop, since you can't capture in all channels without using it receivers!  If it's a fixed desktop computer, which would be more appropriate.

  • Pavilion dv7-6b55dx: loss of internet connectivity wireless with Win 10 update

I have a Pavilion dv7-6b55dx notebook with Intel Centrino - N6150 wireless network card. I've recently updated to Win 7 to win 10 64-bit.  The first negative consequence is the deactivation of my wireless internet connection. The without wire/switch market stop on the keyboard is more worked as planned but simply tilted airplane mode on or off.  I followed HP troubleshooting for wireless connectivity problems associated with Windows 10 improvements, including the reinstall the NIC driver wireless, without any positive result.  It seems that 10 Windows does not recognize network N6150 map.

Anyone know if there is a fix for this problem (Microsoft? HP? Intel?) In the meantime, I came back to the Windows 7 operating system.  If there is no patch or another solution at this moment I may decide to go with a wireless USB adapter, but prefer not to do this, if possible.

I did not have a facility clean, but simply ran the standard upgrade ensuring once again I did it using a Wi - Fi and ethernet not.  It worked very well - fully operational wireless connectivity.  Thanks for pointing out the importance of having wireless enabled when you upgrade!

How to connect my HP RC1762307/01 to my Pavilion DV7 laptop 6b78us?

    Hello

I think that HP RC1762307/01 is an IR transmitter. You need an IR receiver on you laprop. To find a receiver to match with the HP RC1762307/01 IR could be a challenge, because the receiver must know what are the commands from the transmitter.

My suggestion: buy a full new (your machine). This is an example:

Review HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook Maintenance and Service of Guide .

The section which interests you is the removal and replacement procedures. It is quite straigntforward and has even a few images.

This does not imply so much attention to details such as the withdrawal system board or to the replacement of the LCD screen. It's pretty simple in comparison.

  • HP Pavilion dv7 - 3188cl: HP Pavilion does not connect to Internet (resolved)

I recently got a HP Pavillion Entertainment, model number dv7 - 3188cl, for me to use for a class at the school by my uncle. Before the recovery, everything worked perfectly well. My uncle asked me to reset the computer, so we used the recovery disks that wiped the hard drive successfully but then refuses to reinstall the operating system. Instead of getting another set of recovery disks that I've used a Windows 7 install disc to reinstall the OS and he did so successfully with one flaw, the laptop does not connect to the internet.

I tried to connect via ethernet and it does not find my WiFi network. I suspect his lack a driver and checked for drivers on the HP site but he said that there is none. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and if there is no driver for this I would be grateful if you could tell me where to download from.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Pavilion DV7-6195us: reliable wireless connection

It is of a Pavilion DV7-6195us. It connects wireless to a provided Comcast router/gateway. My connection drops randomly, and my solution was to click on the bottom wireless icon to the right of the taskbar, disconnect my network, wait 5 seconds and reconnect. It is successful in 90% of cases.

I looked in Device Manager > network adapters and see: Intel Centrino Wireless n 1000 #2, Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter #2, Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport adapt #3 and Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller.

This laptop was bought second-hand from a guy who did the free update for Windows 10 without doing all the preparation work. I restarted it in Win 7, 64 bit. The laptop is starting in 2012 and I did the best I could to update the latest drivers, but trying to install the latest WiFi driver gave me the message that says that the driver installed is newer than the one I tried to install. The current version of the driver is 15.11.0.7 as of 1/26/2014(Intel Centrino). I don't know why it is a #2, and I do not know whence the Microsoft Virtual Miniport #2 and #3. Their versions of the drivers are identical and are dated from 2006.

I wonder if they interfere with the Intel N 1000? Should I uninstall them? Is there a driver later for the Centrino N 1000 found somewhere other than to HP support site?

My goal here is to stabilize my connection to my wireless router.

My wife's cell phone is a Dell Inspiron which is located not far from where my laptop is, about the same distance from the router, and she has no problem connecting.

  • Catastrophic customer service, Pavilion dv7 laptop STILL not repaired, shuts down randomly

I've had a Pavilion dv7-6c95dx for over 6 months now and 1 week after I bought it, the laptop began to stop randomly. Firstly that it happened sometimes, usually once a week. When this problem occurred, I had to open the Task Manager, as well as SpeedFan and Manager tasks showed that everything worked well minus 50% of their capacity and SpeedFan has indicated that all systems (HARD drive, processor, motherboard) were running at 50 degrees Celsius (when I talked with a representative from HP on the phone, they told me that their products are supposed to operate at the maximum temperature is 90 degrees Celsius). I assumed it was a small issue, and, after a few months, to see if Windows 7 because of the problem, I installed Ubuntu (Linux). The same problem. I then reinstalled Windows 7, Ubuntu and even threw in a copy of Windows 8 for good measure and the same problem kept happening, but now it would be up to 4 TIMES a DAY. It would be closed (meaning that just go to a black screen, with the familiar sound of hard-stop which makes the fan) usually when I'm either: play a video game, who does not use a lot of RAM or CPU at all and is not graphic, or watch a YouTube video, usually HD and full screen. I'd hear the fan starts pumping a little (I knew it could get loud if necessary, but it's never told fort) and usually after a minute or two, he would have hard stop and then restart itself. So after 3 months of daily irritations, I decided to take my laptop to Geek Squad in the best buy, the store where I bought the unit. Geek Squad was no help: I sent the unit in 4 TIMES and first they said that the problem was "A defective HDD," they replaced, without success, and the other 3 times, they could not reproduce the problem, so that was the MONTH wholly wasted and worn out waiting for my computer back. I then asked to call HP, in the store, because when I called HP, I was not able to get a straight answer and HP, after AN HOUR of talking on the phone in the store, with a Geek Squad Manager, has reluctantly agreed to send me a box to pack up my computer and send it to HP service center. I received a call from HP after the computer and surprise, surprise, they could not reproduce the problem either! I asked about a policy of lemon no., and they said they didn't know what to do to that, of course, continue to send the laptop. When I got my laptop, I also got an email from HP asking me to rate my experience, and after I gave them the low ratings consistenly, so only I was able to speak to a case under the name of Kevin E Manager. He told me that I have to send the laptop in for "more extensive testing" (I'm not sure what this means, should not run them not testing the most extensive possible THE FIRST TIME AROUND)?) and when I asked about the policy of lemon no., he said after I send it, they will look at "other options." This time, the heat sink has been replaced, because for some reason, the laptop was running at 90 degrees Celsius, (which never happened in all my time to possess, to the best of my knowledge) but, of course, they were unable to reproduce the original problem. When I got my laptop, there was still the problem. When I called HP back, Kevin told me that at this point, they may send a representative to my home. 15 minutes before the arrival of the local representative, the closed laptop. I was relieved, because I thought it meant that I could reproduce the problem and show him. However, after waiting for an hour, with more applications running that generally required to shut down the computer, he WORKS PERFECTLY. As a matter of fact, the representative took the home unit for 3 days, and it worked perfectly. When she returned, of course, could do nothing about it. This device has been repaired 7 times now, and it is a shame. Kevin called me today ' today - in fact, it was after 1 week of waiting for a response from "24 to 48 hours." Moreover, off the 8 times that Kevin has promised to follow with me, it was only once I received a call during the response time promised 24-48 hours-another 7 times, it's me calling to him.

Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed by the products and the HP customer service and would certainly not bought this device from them if I had known that I have would have been treated this way.

    all I notice is that

  • Pavilion dv7 - 1023cl does not connect to 1 Gbps but other devices will be

According to the specifications of my laptop Pavilion dv7 - 1023 cl, it has a gigabit ethernet port, but no matter how hard I try, I can't get it to connect to my network at that speed.  Instead, it connects to 100 Mbps / other laptops, including a model dv7 later have no problems connecting to 1 Gbps.

I took it completely and then reinstalled the ethernet driver realtek from the hp support web site, but it still connects only to 100 Mbps.

Anyone has an idea why this does not work and what I can do about it?

    Thank you.

According to the specifications for the DV7 - 1023 cl, page the ehternet port only supports 10 / 100 Mbit/s and this would explain why the 1 Gbps is not negotiated.

Where did you see that it supports 10/100/1000?
