HP Pavilion dv9550eo (clicking sound) fan problem

Two months ago I have vaccumed the fan, but don't forget to keep the fan. If the fan has got a very high SPEED while I vaccumed. When I started my PC after that the fan suddenly begins to make a "rattling noise" and the RPM is extremely high. I used my computer to much a game earlier, and rpm and noise were never like that. What can be the problem? Is the bearings in the fan broken? How can I fix?

Can I buy a new fan or the need of a whole new radiator? The partnumber anyone so I can order a new part?

Just the fan. http://www.eBay.com/ITM/170875020953

Check fan game gently pulling back & comes on a slide with a pair of tweezers, bearing fan problem typical sounds as do many on HP laptops.

Download the service manual for help on band & connection & use a good thermal paste like Artic ceramique2 because it makes a difference & lasts much longer than the cheap pasta...

Hi all.  I think I have a fan problem.  The fan seems to run all the time... at least for the past 3 or raining days, but not fort, with air alternating hot and cold, of the events.  I looked at the events surrounding the outside of the computer and it does not seem to show the accumulation of dust... but even with appropriate glasses, I'm not able to see if there is dust or not... is old or in my case being old causes sight problems!  I also used the diagnostic software to see if any hardware has failed.  The results showed that the computer hardware is correct.

Then you clean the vents (the article says that it is acceptable to use a hair dryer)?  In addition, open the back cover of the laptop to clean the fan inside if it has dust?

Article also says to turn off the computer and unplug the power adapter before spraying compressed air.  Also if you use a blow dryer on the cool setting?  If so, what is the power adapter and how to disconnect it?

Right now I am using the wired option.  I just need to remove the power cord at the back of the router to disconnect.  However, then the computer is wireless... How to turn off the wireless feature... so I can clean the fan/vents?

Thank you.  I really don't miss my XP version!

By blowing air through the vents of your laptop, you are forcing air through the fan. In a laptop, this remove most of the dirt and allow for better air circulation and cooling. This isn't the case with a desktop computer and that's why the video demostates office clean the fan.

I suggest removing the battery is because with it in place, you can accidentally turn on the computer. With the sector/charger adapter unplugged and the battery removed, there is no chance of the computer starts.

  • Error 90 b - cooling fan problem

    Hello

A few days ago I started getting message, with a cooling fan problem, error 90 b

But this error was only occurring when I started my laptop after 5-6 hours

I mean when I started this morning, at the first moment it showed this error, and when it will stop automatically (it says, ENTER to continue starting or it will stop in 10 or 15 seconds) and then I start it again, but this time, no error started end

So guyz, I wanted to know whether hardware or software problem or something else

Still my warranty period which goes, so should I goto HP support center?

    I'm on HP Pavilion dv6

It is material but may be repairable before you send it. Bend over a paperclip and stick it through the grid to hold the fan and prevent it from running out of control and blow compressed air in the grid to dislodge any dirt or dust that can be hung up the fan. If it does not the fan may need to be replaced.

    Hello!

I have a HP Envy 15-j078ca running windows 8.1 touchsmart and, recently, I noticed that my audio is static/crackling noises. A test, I plugged my head phones to see if it was a speaker problem or a problem of sound card and audio in my headphones was also static noises.

Some of my audio programs tell me that it is a sound card problem.

What I did: I followed the advice on another thread that had me uninstall the drivers and hand it to reset my bios settings can have my drivers to reinstall but I found that my audio worked perfectly! ... for about 2 hours then my cell phone was dead silent so I got this back a few days and the audio was fine again... for a few hours before he began to do staic noises again.

  • Satellite M100-221: Solution Possible BSOD / sound + mouse problem

    Hi all!

Recently my Satellite M100-221 started crashing and freezing, so I reinstalled Windows XP.
However, some problems are still recurring.
First, before posting that, I browsed all the forum and found a few questions from people who are experiencing a BSOD (blue screen).

I solved this problem by removing HWSetup programe of PC (because, as he wrote on the blue screen, its driver was causing a problem).
All who have this problem should consider all the software Toshiba, because maybe this is the reason.

    However, I have 2 questions.
First of all, which is my mouse (and touchpad too) just occasionally freezes for a second.
I tried different mouse - but it's the same thing. (It may not be the connected with the performance of the CPU, because before the re - install XP, I didn't have the problem).

And secondly is connected with sound - noise from time to time (whether it be the music play or simply 'click' sound effect) freezes just - which makes the periodical "trtrtrttrtr" - like sound))) that the two problems are so boring - because you just can't help the note!

I've got drivers provided by Toshiba - maybe the problem is with them?
So should what drivers I expect?

    Please, someone, help!

I solved the problems and it took almost two days to determine what the problem is.
Well, I read a lot of discussion on the failures of sounds, mouse freeze and so on. But there is always only one advice: updating drivers, BIOS, etc, etc. After two days, I have updated all the drivers on my laptop, updated the BIOS and fact repeatedly - but all that was * _completely useless_ *.
I've got Intel Centrino Duo processor - so I started to experiment with a single core enabled - play music and watch videos and watch to the works of the processor. According to the process manager, got processor loaded at 50-60% of its power every 2-4 dry. And it turns out to be Hotkey.exe! Toshiba utility! This means that software of Toshiba's just unnecessary powerful processors, because this software is completely unprofessional. I have nothing against Toshiba - laptops are one of the best, but they should at least try their own software before distributing it with their PC.
So I guess some problems with your laptop, mates, can be solved by turning off unnecessary all software and utilities Toshiba - just them clear in the automatic boot menu.
    Good luck!

    Hello

I think that the replacement comes as heat sink (includes the thermal material replacement).

With regard to the spare part numbers: I think your is with switchable graphics, so you need to order the premiera.

  • make a clicking sound from inside my Mac

Just started today. Every few minutes I get a clicking sound from inside my iMac. It seems to work ok, however. Thought, it may be overheating and cleaned by vacuuming all the vents, but it did not help.

Perhaps an early indication of a hard drive failing. Support everything up immediately (if you have not already) and get it checked with a free diagnosis in an Apple Center.
