HP Pavilion dv9550eo: PC2-6400 800 MHz Will fit my motherboard?

I got a HP Pavilion dv9550eo with motherboard Quanta 30CB. Now, I got 2x2gb DDR2 SO-DIMM PC2-5300 667 MHz. Sera PC2-6400 800 MHz fit my motherboard? I don't find in my manual.

It will adapt and work, but it will always run at 667 mhz.

  • Compatible logic for iMac G4 800 mhz 15 '' advice

I have a model of non-working iMac G4 15 ", 800 mhz, 256 MB, 60HDD that I acquired recently. The seller said the power supply to the motherboard and the power are bad, but everything else is fine including the 15 "lcd monitor. There are various imac models g4 and I was wondering which are compatible with mine. A 17 "/ 800 mhz will work?" A 700 mhz/15 "will probably work? What the 1 GHz/17 model "?"

You will appreciate all help. Thank you.

Unfortunately, these are among the most notoriously difficult to replace logic boards.    Other problems include the fact there is a factory specific tool that's hard to find to adjust adjustable chrome stand the LCD is connected to and it is very difficult to put back together without fraying the wires in this pass, or make sure that the neck becomes too loose.    Mentions not there is a balance of cooling gel, and existing buffers that can if installed wrong can lead to overheating of the machine.    The only motherboard model, that can work, is simultaneously published 700 Mhz model.  The CPU on this model is too slow to use the iDVD delivered versions were compatible with the model, if the DVD drive would be probably better served by a CD - RW drive at 800 Mhz instead, or Combo drive unless all you want is to burn data DVDs and not to make your own movies.  http://www.lowendmac.com/ and http://www.ifixit.com/ have a lot of relevant information as well as http://www.everymac.com/

  • Satellite U400-138: RAM works with 667 Mhz instead of 800 MHz

    Hello

I have Satellite U400-138 with 3 GB of RAM (2 + 1 GB sodimm modules)
    I have new kit 2x2gb sodimm-s Corsair PC6400(800MHz)

When I install new modules, system reported that they are working on 667 Mhz instead of 800 MHz,
Maybe that's the problem BIOS chipset because that support this frequency.

Help me, what to do, to run new modules on 800 MHz?

    Hey Buddy

I doubt that it is a BIOS problem.
The point is that the speed of the RAM can be lowered and locked by the FSB (front side bus)
If the FSB supports only 667 Mhz then your RAM 800 Mhz will run only at 667 Mhz

  • Anyone using DDR2 - 800 MHz PC2 - 6400 RAM on a Dimension E520?

    I have a 8-y-o Dimension E520 with a CPU Q6600 and 4 GB of RAM PC2-5300 DDR2 - 667 MHz.

Max RAM is 8 GB so I did research what type of RAM would maximize the expected gain in speed.

According to this articleand this one as this thread of Dell, the E520 can accept RAM PC2-6400 DDR2 - 800 MHz.

In addition, in accordance with this sheet of Intel chipset 965 on the motherboard will have DDR2-800 MHz RAM.

I have noticed however that a sweep Crucial suggested DDR2-667 PC2-5300, like upgrading RAM later.

By no means discouraged, I advanced and bought 4 sticks of 2 GB of RAM DDR2-800 PC2-6400 Non ECC Unbuffered of 240 pins.

Then, installed the new RAM and started in the BIOS. Of course, the 8 GB of RAM is recognized.

Then started to Ubuntu. However, the initialization has failed before he arrived at the office.

Then started to Windows 7 (on the same machine, multiboot). Yet once again, began to start Desktop but bluescreened before that he (0 x 00000019 which seems to refer to the memory problem)

Reinstall all the RAM sticks and tried again with the same result.

Replaced the 4 GB of RAM has low gear and everything was fine.

So, is the RAM purchased dubious quality or not my E520 simply not accept RAM DDR2 - 800 MHz?

In the interest of anyone else might have the same problem or similar, I put the 4 sticks of RAM to the reseller and received four sticks of replacements of the same specification.

And they work perfectly in my Dimension E520.

Thus, in response to my original question, the absence of start-up stems from a faulty RAM.

  • Memory at 800 mhz PC2-6400 ddr2 at 667 mhz

I have the 800 mhz cpu T9500 in the Pavilion dv9700 laptop. I don't have the options in the Bios to change the speed of the memory, although it seems that the memory is clocked at 800 mhz and 667 mhz not. Does anyone know how to change this?

    Hello:

    That is right.

The mobile version of intel of the 965 chipset runs only the memory at 667 MHz and the desktop version of the 965 chipset running at 800 MHz memory.

A little known fact, but it is what it is.  See page 12 of the datasheet below.

  • HP mini 110-3100 upgrade of ram: DDR2 PC2-6400 or DDR2 PC2-5300

I just want to know which is best for my netbook, and especially what is the difference between the TWO in terms of performance or right ' after' installation. Thank you.

    Hello:

PC2-6400 memory is faster than PC2-5300 FSB speed.

Where possible, PC2-6400 memory running at 800 MHz and PC2-5300 runs at 667 MHz.

It is a moot point with regard to your laptop, as the processor has a speed of 667 MHz front bus.

This means the faster, memory back communicates with the processor at 667 MHz.

So you want to install at least the PC2-5300 memory, but it of OK to install memory PC2-6400, being understood as the PC2-6400 memory, since it is backward compatible, will be automatically "downclock" at the speed of the FSB of the processor (667 Mhz).

Accordingly, there is no performance difference between the two speeds of memory in your particular computer.

  • Upgrade memory R60: 667 or 800 mhz?

I intend to upgrade the memory of my R60.

They have has two options, which are equal cost:

    -2x2gb DDR2 PC2 - 6400 CL5 (800 mhz)

    -2x2gb DDR2 PC2-5300 (667 MHz) CL4

two of them kingston HyperX or ValueRAM

I think I have the 800 mhz version, which could be "more compatible" with perhaps of future machines, but only if they work in my R60 course at 667 mhz (ideally to CL4, but I don't like).

Is this possible? There are problems to be expected?

    Thanks for your help!

R60 to 667 mhz, but the version 800 ram usage will work also, but only to the 667 mhz speed.

I already had 1 module 2 GB DDR2 PC2-5300 installed, so if I get 2 GB DDR2 PC2-6400, it will run or not?
And if it will work the feature dual channel will be work?

On the HARD disk, what is the maximum capacity of the HARD drive that I cannot in stall in the same model because I have 1 TB, so it will work?

    Hello

The laptop supports Intel® 945 GM chipset.
This chipset supporting 533 MHz max.
So if you plug in modules of memory 667 MHz, the system would still works at 533 MHz.
The modules are DDR2 so I put t see any reasons why the dual channel does not work in your case.

    > On the HARD disk, what is the maximum capacity of the HARD drive that I cannot in stall in the same model because I have 1 TB, so it will work?

Laptop supports the SATA interface. The SATA controller has no limitation to the size of the HARD drive, so, theoretically, you should be able to use this large HDD but to be honest; I've never used this large HDD. The largest that I used in by cell phone was 500 GB and it was big enough.
However, you will need to test b e100% sure.

  • Re: Satellite Pro L300D - 11O 800 MHz RAM installed, only to 667 MHz

I recently bought a Satellite Pro L300D-11O, which has a single stick of 1 GB 800 MHz RAM installed. However this RAM work only at 667 MHz. I checked this in Linux and Windows Vista.

The laptop is announced as to have 800 MHz RAM on this page:

    http://UK.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/JSP/SUPPORTSECTION/discontinuedProductPage.do?service=UK&BV_UseBVCook ie = Yes & PRODUCT_ID = 1055796

The manual of the user who wrote:

"PC2-6400 memory module works as PC2-5300 speed the GL40 Express Chipset Express chipset/GL965"

I don't know what chipset I have, and it would be surprised that this would be the case that the above Web site explicitly states RAM 800 MHz.

    Can someone tell me please?

    Hello!

Now I'm a bit confused of Mr. I think you did search in the wrong user's manual because the Satellite L300D has no Intel chipset.
On the Toshiba site, you can download the manual for Satellite L300D:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online downloads support & -online download user manual

I think that your chipset only supports 667 MHz. normally the RAM always works on the highest speed that is supported by the chipset.
Check the specifications with Everest or PC Wizard 2008.

  • Pavilion dv9550eo: Upgrade CPU T7300 in dv9550eo since 2007

I'm still in love with my old HP Pavilion dv9550eo since 2007. It is being upgraded with Windows 7 x 64, SSD and a new GPU-fan. Still going for my use

I see in the owner's manual that adapted T7700 2.4 GHz my computer. But it's not a difference of speed of my T7300 2.0 GHz. Y hugh there any CPU better suited to my computer?

It is now my CPU: processor Intel Core Duo T7300 (2.0 GHz, 4 MB L2 cache, 800 MHz FSB).

Is it possible to put in a new SSD and put up in RAID? Or is it the other components that is the bottleneck here?

    Hello:

If you have the version of the BIOS F.45 or more recent version installed, you can install one of these processors as together on the release notes for v F.45:

  • Dv6000 series upgrade RAM - 667 or 800 mhz?

Hi, I am in the process of fixing my HP Pavilion dv6746tx laptop, running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit
The graphics fried and I replaced the motherboard, but I'd also move from 2 GB to 3 GB of RAM while I'm there.

The question is, I noticed a lot of RAM 800 mhz and wonder:
    (1) is it useful to change the 667 and 800?
    (2) it is even compatible with this computer?
    (3) if I keep 1 x 1 GB 667 mhz and add 1 x 2 GB 800 mhz, all still work OK? (even if I don't get any benefit from the 800 mhz)

For the most part, I ask this because my local computer store seems to only sell the 800 and their price is c. good.

EDIT: I know that Aries provided with this computer is DDR2 - what difference would make DDR3 / would this work?

You cannot use DDR3, but you can use DDR2 800. It will downclock to match the other RAM and will work fine.

Fact DDR2 * 800 MHz * work on this laptop?

It will be worth spending the money to make this upgrade as a significant difference in my speed of laptops?

What memory should I put in to get the most out of my laptop?

    Any comment is appreciated.
    Thank you.

For more of your laptop just use compatible and recommended memory module. For your laptop model, you must use:
    -1 GB-DDR2-667-PA3512U-1M1G
    -2 GB-DDR2-667-PA3513U-1M2G
Put this number in Google and search for stores where you can order.
