  Try the following

  Firstly, uninstall your current version of HP Support Assistant using Microsoft 'Fixit' at the following link: this is particularly useful for correcting problems that may prevent resettlement on the machines running a 64 bit OS.

  When this has completed, restart the laptop.

  Then download and install the latest version of HP Support Assistant of the page on the link below - the download links are to the bottom of the page.

  After installation, restart the computer again.

  Let windows take over completely for a few minutes and then see if you can now configure HP Support Assistant.

  I recently did a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit on my laptop from DVD true retail because the resumption of HP I is 32-bit and so cannot use all the memory in the machine.

  I managed to find the most important software and drivers but miss me the beat / Audio driver. It does not appear on the page of download driver laptop (with another software, but that's probably another story).

  I found and installed HP Support Assistant, and who concluded that the Beats Audio was missing and that would have been installed (unless she didn't and he didn't tell me). However, he seems to still be there - there is no Beats Audio icon in the system tray and it is not something that you can uninstall in Control Panel. I also installed HP on-screen Display as it seems to be necessary, but it does not seem to have brought Beats Audio to life.

  Lack of pilots of Beats Audio seems to be a common theme on this forum, but unfortunately none of the opinions of existing positions worked for me. I suspect it is maybe because none of them focused specifically on my laptop model.

  Can someone point me to the Beats Audio / IDT download for my PC model or suggestions for other ways to get installed it. Note that I have no HP Recovery Manager installed because I can't find that download is...

Yes use Acronis and disk clone with proportional resizing with an external SATA USB adapter then swap the SSD to the original hard disk, and you'll be good to go. You must not touch the BIOS or really to make changes to the operating system. Windows 8 is quite good at recognizing the SSD and established itself in order to optimize their. Don't resist it.

  Hi, this weekend I'll be staying at my parents and have been asked to assist with the laptop of my father.  It of a HP Pavilion G6 and had damaged the user profile. We have successfully created a new user profile for him so that it can log on to the laptop again, but now it does not connect to the internet via wifi.  If press us F12 the way of the light is blue, I think it works.  Device Manager indicates that the wireless adapter is working properly, HP Connection Manager says wireless is disabled by the mobility Center, but the center of mobility is not any icon for the wifi settings.

  Can anyone offer any suggestions?

  I just installed windows 7 on my laptop Pavilion 15-ab066n, it came with windows 8. I have difficulties to find universal serial (USB) bus driver and there are also two unknown devices, I was on the site of HP driver and there is not a link for the driver for the chipset. Please someone know where I can find this driver or what the chipset is if I can get it directly from intel? or what are the two unknown devices, they are not player card or bluetooth as I installed the drivers for the HP site.

  This package provides the driver that allows the Synaptics TouchPad in the notebook models that are running a supported operating system. The pilot turns the touchpad General (for example, double-click and scroll) feature and provides a user interface.

  File name: sp71393.exe

  The second driver is directly from the assistance of your notebook page and this is certainly one you need for the device 6007.

  Try to install manually as follows...

  Go to Device Manager and click on the unknown device of 6007 requiring the driver.

  Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and find the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file.

  This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp71811.

  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see if the pilot goes like this.

  Then restart.

  Did you run HP Support Assistantto help update the drivers?

  HP Support Assistant offers several times the "Doritos 2.0 system BIOS version.  I select the update and it appears to download and then the installation stage takes a long time before appears a box that says that the installation has failed.

  I would not recommend installing the updates to the bios via Support Assistant. From personal experience, they fail. Go to your product support page software and drivers and check for correct bios upgrade and download from there.

  You can test the ports at the level of the firmware using diagnostics (UEFI) PC. Near the power button and then press the ESC key. Choose F2 menu. In the diagnosis of PC, choose the test components and then on USB port.

  I activated the options of ' only 'show' disconnected / disables devices "and the internal mic jumped upward and my headset popped up as well.

  On allowing them, there was a lot of comments and getting the echo/reverb. However, after a few minutes the possibility of headset changed "CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE" and the micro has been cut? Restarted laptop but made no difference?

  When I unplugged the headset microphone for in that changed option "grayed out", and when I plugged it back in, it has changed back to the color with a green check mark but still not available?
