HP Pavilion Notebook-15-p214dx: help to delete data for laptop

Hey guys im giving my laptop HP Pavilion Notebook-15-p214dx to my new brother in law, however, I wan't to delete everything on it, except for the windows. However I have not if this laptop comes with any disk because I can't seem to find. Other threads have recovery OS reinstallation disc, but I did not. So I was wondering what I need to do, thanks for your time.

Again, you can judge them... However after a set OS level in general these option reset or restore the new OS and not the.original.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook 15-p206TX: full of specification of the laptop on the box

Recently I bought HP laptop computer 15-p206TX.
There is no technical problems so far but the problem I encountered is that the sealed box containing the laptop specification of processor, RAM, hard disk and information of this laptop has Nvidia graphics card. But missing information was model No. and the graphics card specifications. The model and specifications of the graphics card is very important to decide if it will be sufficient for the requirements or not.
I was looking for laptop with NVIDIA GeForce 840 M and relied on the seller, who said that this model was the same, but what performance verified on laptop computer found that it contained a NVIDIA GeForce 830 M.
I would like to know the reason why no graphics card model is not on the box and suggest that this essential information must exist on the box.

    Hello

You can find the COMPLETE CHARACTERISTICS of your machine on the following link:

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the problem, that you are facing is that Microsoft provides only pilots with the most basic features and what you really need for these features in laptops is the specialized drivers written for the specific material found in laptops - and unfortunately, there is no HP Win10 laptop driver.  HP only guarantees the compatibility of Win10 for machines manufactured after August 2013. HP is not no matter what timetable indicating when, or IF, they will produce drivers for older machines.

There is also no update the BIOS of your PC.

This means that your PC is probably NEVER going to be fully functional under Win10 because the pilots is needs for all features simply do not exist!  To restore all the features, you will need to do a reset to factory using HP recovery media to its original operating system pre-installed.

However, if you are determined to stay with Win10, pilot alternatives, you can continue below are...

You can try to use Windows updates to find the drivers from Microsoft deposits for your device: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03330139

You can also try following the instructions in this thread: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04763435/

If Windows Update doesn't give new drivers, you can pursue alternative which are described in the linked Microsoft Windows Insider community thread: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/wiki/insider_wintp-insider_devices/how-to-install-and-update-drivers-in-windows-10/a97bbbd1-9973-4d66-9a5b-291300006293

If you then run into trouble, install the drivers through Windows Update, you can try to use of Microsoft Windows Update Troubleshooter: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/open-the-windows-update-troubleshooter

    Good luck

  • I have a HP Pavilion notebook. My system does not detect my sd card and I can't eject. Help?

Original title: undetected sd eject not

I have a HP Pavilion notebook. My system does not detect my sd card and I can't eject. Help?

From my understanding, most laptops allow you to simply remove the SD card back.  Others have a simple spring mechanism that requires you to press the memory card slightly until you hear a "click", similar to a click on a retractable pen, which must eject the card.

When finished, press and hold the Windows key and press R

In the run window, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.

In Device Manager, expand sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the Realtek device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are finished, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp72001-72500/sp72043.exe

When the reinstallation of Chipset has completed, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, open your download folder, right click on the installer of Realtek and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, reboot the laptop and let windows load completely for a few minutes before checking.

  • 15-ab271sa Pavilion: Pavilion Notebook 15-ab271sa occasionally won't boot to the top

    Hello

I recently bought this new laptop and have problems with it sometimes does not start windows.

I see on the HP website there is an update of the BIOS for this machine which apparently addresses the problem that I am experiencing, but I'm confused because my current BIOS Version is not displayed in the list of previous versions of the software in the BIOS and when I run the softtware Assistant support installed on the machine there is no mention of an update of the BIOS.

Either way, I did all the recommended software updates by using the help Wizard, but when I look at available updates on the Web Site for my machine there are numerous others proposed.  In addition, some updates are repeated as Rev A and Rev B, and I don't know what that means.  In addition, because there are updates for the other elements of software for different brands of hardware, I expected only these updates appear in the Support Assistant that relate to my particular machine.

I would like any advice or comments on this situation before proceeding further.
