HP Pavilion p6616f video No. output

Plug

HP Pavilion p6616f

AMD Phenom II 630 x 4

6 GB of Ram

Motherboard: N-Alvorix-RS880-formfat (Alvorix)

Three SATA HD (750 GB, 500 GB, 250 GB)

On board video: ATI Radeon 4200

Video output: DVI/VGA

Monitors: Acer S231HL 23 "and HP 19"

OS: win 7 64-bit HP

All of a sudden my computer has no video output.  The computer starts, sometimes with the video but most of the time there is no video and the last few attempts there is no video.  When he's not out video takes somewhere around 5 to 15 minutes.  Then the screen displays "scramble" and I am forced to shut down with the power button.

I bought a new card for PCI - x 16 graphics Radeon HD 5450 (TigerDirect) and has not either any video output.  Impossible to get to the BIOS to change the preference of onboard video because the screens are black.

I thought that a discrete card would work even if there was a problem with onboard video, but same problem.  No video output of the computer.  The monitor, 'No Input Signal' message

Cannot understand why there is no onboard video video or add it in the graphics card.

Disconnect all USB devices and two HD storage, still no luck.

I had to a start-up screen that gave me an opportunity to:

"Start with windows repair" or "window to start normally.

I chose to start windows normally.

Once I got to the window accounts, I stop and tried expansion card.

Since then, I have NO video at all.

Both monitors work very well when it is connected to other computers.

All ideas are welcome!

OK... updated

Finally got video on tests repeated from computer.

selected in the start menu "start using windows repair" (or something like that) rather than "start windows normally".

It starts in safe mode while performing "repairs trying Windows.

Once it has completed, the computer started with video embedded on single monitor!

tried again with two monitors attached to the onboard video, successfully!

installed video PCIe card, set the BIOS for favorite video card... PCI-E

installed the drivers from the CD included with card, successful!

really have no idea what the problem was, if not a few basic Windows file that controls video that has been corrupted

are you a person with problems or simply curious?  Even if your laptop has a 7 pin connector, I am reasonably sure it is wired as if it were 4-pin... I don't know of all computers laptops that are NOT actually.  So I ASSUME you already have hung a 4 pin cable to it and could not get an idea... right?  My 6426us use the drivers/chip Intel Graphics Media and "I" need the driver of redirection/clone/set to double screen for configuring the display I want.  It works only if things are connected... you must configure options... have you tried this yet?

    That s easy.
You must use a 4-pin s-video cable to connect the TV to the laptop.
Connect both devices, then turn on the laptop, then TV, use the FN + F5 key combination to switch to the external device (TV).

Yes, but it is only a single VGA port in the back IO ports.  You can buy a new video card or a USB 2.0 video card.  Here are a few maps to the StarTech.  I suggest using their Live Chat option to speak to one of their technicians.

When I play a video on facebook, tube you etc. it takes a long time to start, then when it does, it acts like it is frozen, then he'll play a few seconds and stop again more and more. What can cause this and how can I solve the problem?

Thank you in advance, I appreciate your time.

    Hi @u81b42,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I'm sorry you're having problems with your HP Pavilion g6 - 2217 cl Notebook. I have looked at the problem with the video does not properly or green screen. Try clicking on the green screen, in the tab named storage Local and put 10 k and the green screen should disappear.

Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant, if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need to update the graphics driver may need to be updated.

  • Pavilion 9220y video card update

    Hello
I was hoping that an expert can help me upgrade/configure a new video card for a desktop HP Pavilion Elite 9220y.

I have done the research to shed light on the issue, but would REALLY appreciate some help!

So just that the machine has now integrated ATI Radeon HD 4350 - that it comes with, who I am is of course very well for the casual user, but I want a massive update to play new games.  Unfortunately, I'm stuck with this computer, so I can't build a new machine custom, so I just want to update my video card today... the rest of the system works very well if.

    My questions are:

    • Can I upgrade the video card on this specific computer HP Pavillion 9220y?
    • I read that I can replace the card using the PCIex16 slot? but is this slot PCI-E 1.0 or 2.0?  I could not find in the sheets...
    • If so, what kind of cards are compatible with it and are good for games?
    • I buy a power supply additionanl to run the additional power demand?  If so, what is a good thing that will work for the 9220y? http://www.Newegg.com/store/subcategory.aspx?subcategory=58&name=power-supplies

It's just a lot to wrap around my head and I want to make sure I go about it the right way, before you update or buy anything!
Again, any help would be appreciated more
    Steve

    Hi Steve,.

    1. Yes, you can install a video card in your PC.

    2. the discrete graphics card will move into the slot PCI-E x 16.  HP is not posting slot PCI-E card, but a video designed to the 2.0 PCI card will normally be backward compatible with the PCI 1.x ports.

3 game cards have different levels of performance and your choice will depend on the game being used and set of parameters. Check out forum and the game manufacturer's web site and see what others are using.

    4. more decent video cards will require a bigger power supply.  The p9220y has only a 300 Watt power supply.

Here are the specifications of the motherboardfor the p9220y. Since most of the better video cards are wider than normal single slot card, then adjacent locations on the PCI-E x 16 slot must be vacant.

I make a few suggestions, but I'm really in the dark about your playing conditions.

TheCorsair CX600should have enough power for most video cards.

TheNVIDIA GTX 550 TIshould have enough power for most video games with the higher settings. Screen resolution is a factor of performance.

You need to open your PC and measure the physical dimensions of your diet.  Here is a list of the things to consider:

    1. Specifications
    2. Total power - important
    3. amperage 12 + v - important
    4. Modular - is not required, but I like the flexibility
    5. Warranty
    6. I7 and SLI ready
    7. Efficiency rating
    8. Cost
    9. The physical size - standard ATX PSU is 5.5 "by 5.9" by 3.4 "give or take a few tenths
    10. Only one + 12 volt rail is a better choice.

www.Newegg.com has many choices of power supplies.  Corsair, OCZ, Rosewill, Thermaltake...

Review the performance of NVIDIA specifications. Look at the specifications of strip memory bandwidth and level of DirectX support.

  • HP Pavilion p6623w video Graphics Card Question.

With the HP Pavilion p6623w, it has an integrated ATI graphics built in. I recently bought a Zotac GeForce gtx 550 ti AMP! Video card and I wanted to install it in the HP System. Unfortunately since I installed it, I had many problems to make same ot games starts. Star Wars: The Old Republic opens the menu and when I click on 'play' it black screens and closed auto itself. The same question comes with League of legends and any demo that I download.

I've updated the drivers as well as other updates that I did to my PC and still no luck, so I'm stuck. I guess it could be my integrated video card?

I can't seem to find a way to disable and exactly how would I have done that?

Please and thanks for the help!

Here are the specifications of your HP p6623w desktop and here are the specs of the ZOTAC GeForce® GTX 550 AMP Ti ! Edition graphics card, you are having problems with. According to the specifications of your computer, your system came with a 250 watt power supply. According to the specifications of the Zotac GTX 550 Ti, it requires a minimum system + 400 watts of power. Unless you have installed a new more powerful PSU, this card will try to draw more power than the PSU will provide.

With regard to the integrated... video card BIOS automatically disables it when it detects a card into the PCIe x 16 slot.

  • HP Pavilion p6505f video card upgrade

I couldn't find another post for this model, so I create a new one to ask for help.

My mom has a HP Pavilion p6505f I want to upgrade for it, specifically the video card. She recently bought. It seems that the power supply is only 250watts, so I guess that will have to be upgraded. I need the machine to be able to play WoW at a decent rate. I am interested if anyone has recommendations on a good video card for the power of this system and recommendations (will fit a generic, or what I should order from HP? and what power range should I aim for, 500 +?). The computer came with a lot of RAM (4 GB) and a lot of space (1 to).

    Thanks for any help!

A standard ATX power supply should work.

  • Pavilion a6200n: Pavilion a6200n video card upgrade

"EVGA GeForce 210 Passive 1024 MB DDR3 PCI Express DVI/HDMI/VGA USB2.0 graphic card"

I know that I need to upgrade the PSU also, but this card would work with the system?

    Tanks for your advice.

    Uroboros1200, welcome to the forum.

I think that the card should work without any problems.  However, because it requires only 300W to work correctly, I suggest buying the card and try it with the current power supply (PSU).  The worst that will happen is that the system does not start.  When you do that, you replace the power supply.  The manufacturers recommend more power need to protect themselves.

    Hello

Install a new video card can disable the sound chip edge check so what follows.

Shut down the PC. Tap here to f10 as soon as you press the power button to access the Bios Menu - option is probably under the Advanced Settings tab.  Look for an Audio titiled "Onboard" entry.  If it shows as disabled, navigate using the arrow keys, press ENTER, use the arrows to select "Enabled" and click on enter again.  Press f10, select 'Yes' or 'Ok' and press on enter to save the change.

It's a nVidia card, enter a PC with a nVidia chipset. The PCIe slot on the motherboard based on the age of the PC should be 2.0/2.1.
