HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15 TS: Wireless button stays amber!

I have a Sleekbook and yesterday the button Wireless 'stuck' on amber. I can press it repeatedly and it takes more just my laptop in and out of the plane.  I rebooted, reset the default BIOS settings (who worked the first few times, but not working now), I've updated the driver for the wireless adapter, the wireless switch driver and the network driver - which did not help. I restored to an earlier date (3 weeks) who helped a bit but then the system did a update and I had to reboot and now it's just like it was back.  Please someone can help me with that I'm not at home, do not have full access to the internet (I use my mobile data for this message) and do not have an own USB so a complete reset of the BIOS is out of the question.  Because I don't have wireless internet or a printer is close I can't download stuff or print documents, I need when the computer is turned off.    My computer data: product name: HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15 TS product number: thank you D4L77EA #ABU Windows 10 64-bit edition.

My pavilion dv7-1451nr turns wireless keyboard blue when I have to reset the motherboard by removing the battery and press the power button / stop seconds, after which I plug in charger to him while leaving the battery and press the power button / stop. After that, I would like to press f10 to enter the bios setup, then I would like to load the defaults, save and exit.

After doing all that I have explained above, the wireless button becomes blue and wireless assistant would be activated and indicates that the wireless is turned on. If I check in the Device Manager, I see the hardware details and driver wireless populated it and everything should work fine, but once I restart the computer, the wireless button would refuse to start. There is orange. If I try to check the State of the material status and driver WLAN on Device Manager, they would be is more filled it more and wireless assistant will refuse to start. If by chance he started, this would indicate that the wireless is turned off by the Device Manager.

I had tried uninstalling the wireless LAN driver and reinstalled just in case the problem came from the software side but not solution. Just this afternoon, I have decoupled from the computer and removed the card WLAN, dusted it and replace it back, but the problem persists.

The type of wireless network card is Atheros AR5007 802.11 b/g WiFi adapter. I noticed something this afternoon, however, after having checked the service manual for the computer, I realized that there is specific types of the wireless card compatible for specific regions. For example, the number of appropriate wlan spare parts which must be on my computer is 582564-002 and have this with references with the number of spare part of wlan on the wireless card available on my computer that begins with sps 452..., I realized something was wrong. I'll leave that to stop you guys from HP, but I really need a solution to this problem very fast because it's really annoying me. Thank you.

    Hello @LL_Cool_J,

    Thanks for the information!

I don't know what you mean, when he asked if the model is 50xx or 40xx. Confirming the WLAN Module is a little difficult, because there are several manuals maintenance for this model.  I was able to refine the selection a bit, by comparing the numbers of spare part for hard drives.  Based on this REPAIR, the WLAN Modules you have listed, 582564-002, 593836-001, must be compatible.  However, I don't see the Atheros as option in this manual.  To be on the safe side, you can contact our telephone support HP.  Please use the following http://www.hp.com/contacthp and create a folder for your question and contact HP. Hello Masa.  I understand that you encounter some difficulties to turn on your wireless network.

The wireless button works slightly differently in Windows 8 in previous versions of Windows.  It activates the 'airplane Mode' instead of turn turn off/on the wi - fi radio only.  Try the following to make it work as you would expect.

    1. Since the display type of Metro 'wireless '.
    2. You should see 'settings' on the right.  Select this option and it will fill several elements associated with wireless on the left side of the screen.
    3. Select "wireless" in this section.
    4. You should see a few options.  One being "Airplane Mode" and the other two being a power switch for bluetooth or wireless.
    5. Ensure that these two are turned on when airplane mode is turned off.
    6. Save the changes and reboot.

When you see a labeled device network controller!... that is the wireless card that needs a driver.

I looked at the list of parts for your laptop and this indicates that your model comes with an Atheros card free wireless/bluetooth.

  • HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15 wireless card update

    Hi all!
I want to improve my card wireless in my Hp Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b045el

    Now its a:

    Qualcomm-Atheros AR9485 Wireless Network adapt

I want to know if I can switch to some, an Intel Wireless dualband and bluetooth 4.0 integrated card
    as an Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260

If its where not compatible can find a list of compatible card?

    Thank you!

    Hi 89luca89,

I understand that you want to upgrade your card wireless in your HP Pavilion Sleekbook-b045el 15. In Sleekbook of 15 HP Pavilion, HP Pavilion 15 Ultrabook and HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15 Sleekbook Maintenance and Service Guide on page 25, it lists your module WLAN as adapter WiFi Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 802.11 b/g/n 1 × 1 which means is that a single antenna, so your Sleekbook supports not WiFi 2 x 2 cards as they need 2 antennas. One that you are looking at would not work in the Sleekbook because it is 2 x 2.

Here is a page sheet of Atheros AR9485 802.11 b/g/n WiFi Adapter (1 x 1) - network adapter you would need to find a compatible card. You must take into account the size of the map as well.

I hope this information is useful, please let me know how it goes.

Thank you and have a nice day.

  • Pavilion dv6-1140ew: 1140ew button Mute and the wireless button disappeared

I did my Lalonde normal and regular cleaning. With the help of the manual I disasembled the phone until I could access the fan/heatsink and clean it with air preasured. After reassembling the laptop, I discovered that the two buttons are not appearing on the cover of the switch. I thought that I must have failed to plug something properly, but after checking twice, I am sure that everything is as it should be. The wireless card works perfectly, so are the speakers. The computer turns on automatically (I'm actually hit him), wifi works perfectly (well, I'm on it) scrolling volume works ok, so media buttons. But everything I try, I cannot get the Mute and buttons wireless to work once more.

  • "Wireless button" on the HP Pavilion dv6-1259dx

My wireless capability is "disabled".  I looked through all the manuals I can find online to find the mysterious "wireless" button, push it in and turn it on to make my computer connects once more to the internet.  I could have sworn that I found this mysterious button, because there is a small black cover that appears off the coast beside the sign wireless on the front.  I pushed and nothing happened.  I still have no access.  Can someone help please so that I can finish my homework and go to bed already?

No it's not remove all the files. That was my main concern as I homeschool my children and was worried I would lose everything and I have no way of backing up my files... I used this process I pressed f10 when my computer was about to begin (while the screen was black) it took me in BIOS mode I then pressed f9 to reset the default settings, change confirmed by pressing the button enter then you press f10 to save and exit the BIOS my computer then started normally and the blue light of wireless connectivity jumped on immediately and I na not lose a single file. I could not believe HP WAS GOING TO CHARGE ME $49.99 to fix this software called. I THANK GOD FOR BLIGGERS!

    Hello!

I have a problem with my new laptop. The wireless button is good job, so I can switch wifi and bluetooth, but it is DIRECTED does not go to orange when I turn it off. When I turn on the laptop the led is orange, but when windows starts loading it turn to white.

Can someone help me solve this problem?

    OS: Windows 8.1 Pro x 64

I don't know how you got that, but it worked for me, I was a little leary about just install a driver immediately, I didn't know if she was going to do much for me.  Then I went and turned off the bluetooth and could instantly see that it worked.  Enabled the bluetooth and instantly stopped working.  So I decided I would try the pilot and would find a way to correct if it didn't work, and he did.  After installing the driver, light now works as it should, and bluetooth and everything else with the computer working properly again.  Thanks for the tips of genius.
