Hi all
I installed Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 on my daughters computer and everything works well except that when I try to connect to the router says the Ethernet driver is missing. When I Check Device Manager it shoes the Ethernet controller driver is missing. I tried everyway I know to find the driver, but so far nothing.
I have worked with many computers over the years and a Tech with MS beta-tester for more than 15 years and I've never met such a problem before. I have the same Windows operating system installed on my HP Pavilion Slimline s5-1205z and had no problem.
I changed cables ethernet 4 times thinking it could be the cable, but so far nothing solves the problem.
I'm hoping someone here can help me find the driver for the s5-1000z so that we my daughter computer connected to the router. Any suggestion or help will be greatly appreciated. She needs the computer upward and are working on Internet before school starts so that it can make its online courses.
Thank you. :-)

The card mother sheet for this model indicates that it has embedded technology from Realtek: chip Ethernet RTL8105E-VC.

HP Pavilion Slimline computer Office S5610F - drivers Windows XP
Hello HP Forum,
My father recently bought a HP Pavilion Slimline S5610F desktop, refurbished and wants that I format and install Windows XP. I was wondering if this is possible? In the past, I have sought answers from this forum and have always made to answers and help I've gotten. I know that it is already harder to find drivers with my Compaq a few years ago, so I can only imagine that XP drivers are still harder to find now.
Thank you in advance to help you with this matter.
Stéphane
Hi, Stéphane:
Sorry, none of these drivers were working. I took a bet on them being identical to that of a PC HP Pro 3125 which had the same chipset.
Try the driver for chipset southbridge AMD from AMD (first listed file).
http://support.AMD.com/us/gpudownload/Windows/pages/raid_windows.aspx#3
The image you posted will take awhile to get through.
In the meantime, you can try the audio drivers / Realtek network on the Realtek site:

Accept the agreement. Download and install the file 6th on the list (first in green).

I wrote an iso for Win7 64 bit on a flash drive (as ive done in the past with other computers I've owned) but to the immediate departure of the installation, I get this message in a window "load driver":
"A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now. "" "Note: If the Windows installation media is in the CD/DVD drive, you can remove safely for this step. »
Ive never had this error before. HP does not have a CD/DVD driver and I can't find a single lick of information on so-called pilot. I'm not a fool, but Im no programmer or the other. Profane so called info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
P.S. I do not pay HP for their recovery disks. Do not offer as a solution please. I have spent a lot of money on this laptop already, they do not get anything from me.
The recovery disks made on the other laptop don't work - unless it is the same model.
Try to change the flash drive, as shown here:

HP Pavilion Slimline s5220f: BOOTMRG is missing
I recently came across this message when my computer starts after the HP logo screen. Before that happened, HP asked me to run a diagnostic equipment. He said that my hard drive is damaged and asked me if I wanted to restore to the original factory setting. I said yes, but realized, she would erase all my files. I immediately cancelled out of the process. I think that may have damaged essential files. When I press F11 and try the system restore, it error. Should I leave a disc? If Yes, where can I get this drive?
Computing: HP Pavilion Slimline e5220f
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Error during a system recovery attempt: "Recovery manager cannot restore your computer by using the original image. Please contact HP support. "Error code: 0xe0ef0003.
Hello:
All first if you have files you want to recover before restoring the operating system, you can make this bootable CD and using the graphical interface, you can explore the hard drive and you can copy all files/folders on a portable hard drive.
Connection and operating instructions is less.
http://support.Kaspersky.com/viruses/RescueDisk
To order a recovery media for your PC, click on the link below and then click on the link order recovery media.
You can also make your own Plains windows 7 installation media if you can read all 25 characters of the product key windows 7 on the Microsoft COA label because of your PC.
Here's how...
If you can read the Microsoft windows 7 25-character product key, you can download simple Windows 7 ISO files to burn on a DVD for the version of windows that is installed on your PC, and which is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC case.
Burn the ISO with the option to burn the ISO on your DVD burning program and burn it at the slowest possible speed that will allow your program. This will create a bootable DVD.
Or use the installation of Windows 7 USB/DVD tool to compile the ISO file that you download from Digital River. Link and instructions below. You need a 4 GB flash drive to use the USB compilation method.
http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/HTML/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool
Use 25 characters on the PC product key to activate the installation.
The key will activate a 32 or 64 bit installation.
Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.
Link to downloads ISO of W7 is below.
http://www.mydigitallife.info/official-Windows-7-SP1-ISO-from-Digital-River/
Alternatively, you can recover your files if do you your own install of W7 disc and not partition or format the drive and let windows install on the current C:\ partition. It will create a Windows.old folder.
After W7 install, you can click the Windows.old folder and copy all your stuff on a portable hard drive.
When you are sure that you have copied all the files from the windows.old folder you can remove it by running the disk cleanup utility and click the downstairs cleaning system files box to the left of the disk cleanup window.
Check then the windows.old folder should be deleted when you see it in the list of objects to delete.
You can even use the method above to retrieve your files, have your PC run, order the recovery disks and use them to make your PC as the day it came from the factory.
So, there you have it... an index of possibilities.

HP Pavilion Slimline s3720f: what video card should I buy?
I want to add a new video card (not too expensive) for my old HP Pavilion Slimline s3720, but I do not know what video card to buy, because there are far too many choices. I know that the new card must be low profile with a half support so it can fit into the currently available in the motherboard slot. I hope that Conect my Dell UltraSharp 1708FP 17-inch LCD flat monitor VGA on this new card to get the best resolution and graphics. Can someone give me a recommendation indicating which card to buy? Please be specific. Thank you.
The slimelines should never require a lot of video. Your 2008 model circa was Vista. Updates drivers ended with WIN 7. It's a miracle you got WIN10 without drivers available is another story. Another factor is the skinny 160W PSU. That limits your options if you have a. The common consensus is that either. added heat from a graphics card, the likely additonal to a new power supply really outweighed costs.

Pavilion Slimline PC 400-034: network driver
Hello
I'm looking for a driver for the CARD from Windows 7 for the network interface port in the PC of HP Pavilion Slimline 400-034.
I'm trying to configure this computer to an old man who does not want to learn Windows 8, Windows or Windows 10 8.1. It has been very well with Windows XP until his old computer is dead. Now I'm creating running it with this Slimline 400 computer, Windows 7. I installed the WIFI drivers.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE; Do not answer me with a hyperlink to the web site H - P driver download page. I've tried, and H - P has only the options Windows 8 and *. 1. He doesn't like the fact that I want to put Windows 7 on this computer. Please tell me the NAME (or the MS code) network driver and I'll go find it on the internet (Yes, that seems to be the fastest way) without due respect to the people of H - P. I need the driver for the CARD.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance!

Pavilion Slimline: upgrade to MS10
I upgraded to MS10 and now my graphics (JUA190) does not work. I was told that HP does not support the new driver to get my card to work. I bought this computer before 2013. This HP can be upgraded to accept the new adapter? Currently, my Manager shows the basic graphics card. How to add or change this, if I can.
Golf buddy
Thanks for providing the info.
I wish I had some good news for you, but I did not.
HP does not provide more recent than Win7 for your PC drivers, so there is no updated HP driver to fix the problem.
Here is the link to the page of the drivers for your PC: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-Slimline-s5500-Desktop-PC-series/4162194/model/4206331
To see the drivers for Win7, click change and select Win7 in the menu drop-down.
You MIGHT be able to install the video drivers Win7 using compatibility mode: http://www.windows10forums.com/articles/compatibility-mode.7/
