Hi there @SteveTung,

Before I provide documentation of troubleshooting, I would like to take a moment to welcome you to the HP support community. I'll do my best to help solve the portable gel after the start.

Please make sure that the AC adapter cable is not plugged into a power strip, surge arrester, or secondary power source. It should be directly into a wall outlet.

Have you tried running in Safe Mode?

Did you do a BIOS reset?

Have you tried to do a disk defragment?

Have you tried to do a Disk Cleanup?

Have you tried to clean the vents?

Is the noisy fan or turn constantly?

Is the hotter than normal PC?

Have you tried tests to hardware failures?

Here are the documents of test and calibration of the battery and improve the performance of the battery .

Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant, if you need it. Simply download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need updated.

Here are a few other documents for you that can help:

If this post helps you solve the problem, please pay to the front by clicking on the button accept as Solution , right of the thumbs up icon. You can click on the Thumbs up icon to show your appreciation for my efforts today!

My laptop freezes after exactly 2 minutes. I don't get the problem when booting in safe mode. I've disabled all services & then allowed them one at a time and the problem seems to be with BITS & Windows update. My laptop will not freeze if I let only these two services turned off. What follows is a generic response.
Among the measures that you have already done.

Download some software temp monitoring for cpu, gpu.

    * This could be a hard drive that goes wrong or corrupt.

    Type sfc/scannow in cmd.

Your computer should freeze, try to do the tests in safe mode.

    * Go to search, type Manager devices and look for the yellow warning markers.

  • HP G62 laptop computer: laptop freezes after startup

After starting my laptop freezes.  How long after starting varies.  Sometimes it will freeze after only a few minutes. Sometimes it can be operational for an hour or two.  Want to know how to fix this.

Tested hard drive and the Long DST failed.  Has given an ID of the failure of QAGCHR-5GH847-XDOO3A-61AKO3.  Product ID is XHO66UA #ABA.

    Hello

Error code 24 characters is a failure of the entire test (DST) disk Self and would indicate that hard is defective and must be replaced.  This is also consistent with the freezing issues you describe.

If you want a guide on replacing the hard drive yourself, let me know.

    Kind regards

The screen still freezing occurs, and the only way to get out of it, is a hard reset of the operating system (power button).

Here are 2 logs system, I found, actually rebooted device itsself so after freezing.

  • iPhone 6 Plus the screen freezes after updating iOS 9.3.1

I'm usually pretty lucky with the iOS updates, but as title the thread, just after the 9.3.1 update was on my iPhone 6, the touch screen now hangs at random times. I am a heavy user environment and this annoying screen freeze occurs at least twice a day, sometimes as much only 7 or 8 times with only hard buttons (home, power, volume) still operate. This never happened before the update, and the only issue is the soft reset option (home + power buttons). It is not only located in some applications, but it seems to be all that touch.

This becomes a real pain in the neck, especially when you write an e-mail or a text message with no way to save what is already written by copy - paste, I need of course the touchscreen to do. Is anyone else facing the same issue after than the iOS put 9.3.1 to level, and are there possible, patches although I strongly suspect that it is a software problem that only Apple can sort with a patch update?

    Thank you.

In my opinion I press my home button and wait for the blade to the turning off the option to display, then hold the button of your hold until turning the option off slider disappears. (This clears your cache).

  • Laptop freezes after BIOS update

Today, March 22, 2015, I installed an automatic update from Toshiba for my laptop satellite. Since updating my laptop crashes seconds after the start, displaying the message: "Unhandled System exception in thread (btfilter.sys).

    Can someone help me?

To talk about possible solutions, it would be very useful to know which model of laptop you have, and what system is pre-installed.

In addition, it would be interesting to know if you ever tried to get the laptop back to factory settings.
If you do not have in the past, I recommend you to perform this restore and to sett the laptop back to factory settings

  • Satellite L300-PSLB8E - screen becomes all white and the laptop freezes

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite L300 PSLB8E. I initially bought with Windows Vista already installed on it. After a few years, I changed the operating system Windows 7 Ultimate. I installed the display and all the other necessary drivers (that is, sound, network, etc.).

After I installed Windows 7, when I use the laptop for a while, the screen becomes all white and the laptop hangs. This happens spontaneously. Sometimes, in less than 10 minutes and other times that it can work perfectly for hours. I checked for loose batteries and other components, but everything seems fine.

Physical damage only that there is a tiny crack on the screen in the bottom right of the screen. The operating system is not good? If I put windows Vista back as it was?

Please advise and help understand me what the problem is with the laptop.

Until we start discussion can you tell me what you do when this happen?
    Hard stop and restart?
Is everything OK again when you do?

It is not easy to say what exactly is the problem, but I put t think there is problem with OS and preinstalled display driver. A long time ago I installed Win7 Home Premium on friends L300 and it works perfectly.

What you can try is to use the external monitor for a while and see if everything works well. If so, there is no problem with the operating system, drivers or graphics card. It may be that the display problem.

  • Qosmio G10 134: the screen freezes after repair

    Hello

Earlier my Qosmio G10 had to be repaired because of the vertical-bars-in-screen-and-broke-down-videocard-problem. They gave me a new motherboard and Nvidia Go 6600 and the problem was solved. I hoped... Because then I couldn't not to use the graphics card for more than 5 minutes.

When I start playing a game, or so it takes 5, maybe 10 minutes in mind for my screen to freeze. Then precious is unresponsive to anything, even to the Microsoft-Magic-Combination-Ctrl-Alt-Del. very annoying to say the least... Does this sound familiar to anyone?

    Thanks in advance,

    Dave
    The Netherlands

    Hello

I agree with the agramer. It is possible to s that you got different but better graphics card. On this page, I read that some users who repaired the laptop got a different card because the original of the delivered graphics card was off live.

In this case, you should check your device for details of the map Manager and if necessary, you must install the right graphics card driver.

  • New computer laptop freeze after power connection (there is a delay, not immediately)

    Hello

I'm having a problem with my laptop Fujitsu Amilo Li 3710 newly purchased. When I plug the power while the computer is turned on, it would freeze completely (no movement of the cursor or keyboard) I put off and then back on to fix. Often, but not always.

But I realized that this isn't an instant freeze, because the laptop starts to load and changes the brightness of the screen according to the Power Options before the frost. So I guess it's not a motherboard problem.

I disabled the battery in the Device Manager if the system will not recognize AC battery operation, the problem disappeared. But it won't let me see the remaining battery charge.

My installation of Windows is fully updated. It's the SP2 of Vista Ultimate x 64.

    What can we do?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Thank you for your answer, but I'm sure this isn't a hardware problem because I think I found the culprit who is "State of the PCI Express link" in Power Options that should be set to OFF.
In addition, the laptop NOT Batt-AC swtich successfully, but when he FOLLOWS the rules Power Options, it freezes.

    Scenario:
    Charger plugged in,
    Battery charges,
    Changes in screen brightness,
    Gel.

If it's a hardware problem, he would certainly like:
    Charger plugged in,
FREEZE (as the power glitch will take effect so little time before dealing with the brightness etc...)

Again, so far, the "State of the PCI Express link" seems have solved the problem.

Any other explanation or the info is welcome from all over the world.

    Hello world

I have a Lenovo Ideapad Z500 just for a few days and I discovered the following problem: I put 'doing nothing' in the 'close' Option to cover, then twice, I left the laptop with the lid and in fact it does nothing. I have reinstalled Windows 7 SSD formatted as MBR disk withs, received the same error message:
