HP Pavillion DV7 Envy

18 months ago, I bought my computer and the hard drive failed 6 months ago.  I bought another hard drive and I bought a recovery kit.  I have a Windows 8 Pro installation disc but when I try to use that he complains about not finding correct device drives all the time, which is odd when its a real Windows 8 Pro installation disc.  When I try to use the disks in the recovery of the latop kit wouldn't even boot from the disk operating system and instead just tells me the disk hard is not subject to any operating system and displays

"Please install an operating system on your hard diskl

Hard drive (3F0) '.

But this isn't what I'm trying to do with the recovery Kit?

The replacement hard drive I bought is a 1 TB hard disk Samusung with the same specifications as the original hard drive WD Blue:

1 TB

2.5 "

SATA 3.0Gbps

5400 RPM

So I don't understand why the computer has a problem with it.

Please can someone shed some light on the problem?

Hello

Thanks for the list, but I solved the problem myself with online research.  Here is how I solved the problem.

To stop the error 3f0 I had to activate Reader inherited in the BIOS and place the DVD as the first boot drive in the boot legacy command section. This solved the error 3f0 and enabled the recovery disc start.

It's that simple although I can't seem to understand why he needs the legacy driver activated as it is a good drive hard modern. Anyway now I have a fully operational system once more.

One thing you might consider adding to your website is a feature where those who had lost everything and hard disk failures can recover their original windows product key. After all, it comes with the laptop when you buy, so you should be allowed to get somehow where you need it for circumstances like this. In my case, I had upgraded to Windows 8 Pro and had this available upgrade product key and I didn't have my original key it would not allow me to record the original windows in order to get my upgrade on. If you really need to include a writing down the product key of windows with new laptops or allow people to get by other means when their computer decides to self-destruct.

The computer is not compatible with the 9-cell battery. Maintenance and service guide provides this information. The guide will also tell you the part number for the adapter, you should have, but also the other part applications.

The number of days of battery is essentially how many days the battery has been used for over a total cycle of 'true '.

  • Envy DV7 HP: HP DV7 Envy your PC need to be repaired a required device is not connected

I have 10 Windows on my HP DV7 envy.  When I turn it on I get the error "Your PC need to be repaired a necessary device is not connected."

None of the keys work, which means I can't select startup options or select System Restore.  It just brings back me to the blue screen with the error message. So I can not try all options, I found on the internet that are made not boot master book or disable secure boot record.

I ran the tests of memory and fast disk, as someone else suggested that memory may be bad.

(HP please don't answer back Windows 10 is not supported.)  Microsoft has given to all customers of Windows 8. Besides it is not at all compared to the question, since the system cannot not even load the operating system.)

I fixed that basically like this:

    1. safe mode in the bios
    2. change the boot order to put USB in the front
    3. Install Ubuntu from USB, so erase Windows

I got stuck because I had copied the Ubuntu ISO was not a complete file.

No doubt I could able recover if I asked HP ship me a replacement disc for Windows 8.1

Also, I learned that you press f8, f9, f10 or f11 when you turn on the computer.  You must wait until the screen goes to sleep again and repower the computer to switch to another option.  Now key people will work until you do this.

I've recently updated my computer Windows 7 to windows 8.  I did a complete reset, so I lost all my other software in the process.  Now, I am looking for some drivers and return programs that were not automatically by windows 8.  Specifically, Miss me the Beats Audio, my fingerprint reader software which is integrated with this model and my dedicated graphics card AMD Radeon 6770 (I can probably find it on the AMDS website however).  However, the HPs driver windows Web page 8 is not listed as an available for my model (hp pavillion dv7 6143 cl) operating system and I was wondering if windows 7 drivers would work in this case or if I'm out of luck.

  • Can I attach multiple external monitors to my Pavillion dv7 laptop?

I have a monitor connected via the HDMI interface, and I would like to have another one is attached as well. Can I use the VGA port (either a dish - I don't kjnow not what it's called) and have the instructors work together?

    Thank you!

    -Jerry

(Windows Vista, Pavillion dv7 laptop computer)

    Hello, Jerry:

Theoretically, you should be able to connect monitors as you have video ports.

As I don't have your model, I can only speculate.

I know that's true for desktop (where the embedded video is handicapped by an add on card).

In my view, that the other HDMI-looking port is a display port.

  • HP Pavillion DV7-6052ea: Wireless problem card

Hi, I'm moving my Wifi card of a 802.11ac card for 5 Ghz speed

    I have a Pavillion DV7-6052ea with i7-2630qm.

Laptop came with Broadcom 4313gn 801.11bgn card and looking at the manual here it says that the Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6230 is compatible with my laptop but when I install it the laptop does not start, it's just a black screen with a text box (not flashing) solid.

It give me any option to go into the BIOS and the fan is working, if I press the power button / stop, it stops immediately.

I also have a Centrino Advanced - N 6035 from another laptop, isn't on the list supported in the manual, when I install I get a message saying that the card is not supported.

Any ideas why the laptop does not start with the 6230?

Because it is not on the white list in the BIOS. The guide indicates a N-6230, but if track down you the part number in the manual it takes to another card. There is no option double band of 5 GHz laptop, that I do not say. Let alone a 802.11ac option.

  • How will I know if I can use wireless headphones on my HP Pavillion DV7 running on Windows 7?

I have a HP Pavillion DV7 Windows 7 & would like to buy headphones wireless instead of the smaller earbuds that came with it.  How do I know if I can use it as most of the sites such as eBay requires your PC to be Bluetooth compatible so that their specific work wireless headphones.  How will I know if my phone is bluetooth compatible?  I searched what little paperwork came with it, but don't know where else to find this information & don't want to buy headphones which doesn't work on my laptop & end up having to return them.  I am not very savvy PC so I'm sure that somewhere in the software there are some information about it, but I don't know how or where to find it on my laptop.  I could really use the skills of a person to solve this dilemma bit I'll have too simple as it may seem to most of you, the experts there, but for a "newbie" like me, it's all Greek to me!

Please, can someone help me understand what to do or where to find this information.  Is somewhere in the control panel?  I'm just at a loss about where to find this kind of information on my own laptop & feel like a true dummie here, people!  I just want to be able to listen to stereo to my Netflix movies & other programs I have on my laptop with a nice set of headphones but I need to be sure everything I buy is compatible with my laptop.

Thanks to someone out there who can help me with what may seem like a trivial problem, but for me it's a mystery!  I need help badly!

    Sam51

    Hello Sam51

According to the data sheet for your computer it has not built in the Bluetooth adapter. Fortunately, there is another option, there are devices called Bluetooth adapters that fit in one of your USB ports. Newegg sells them at a reasonable pace, but you can also buy them from most electronic stores may be in your area.

Please answer as soon as possible.

    Thank you

  • HP DV7 ENVY: USB 2.0 Port does not

    Hello

I have a DV7 HP ENVY with 3 - USB 3.0 ports and 1 - USB 2.0 port. The USB 3.0 ports are working well but USB 2.0 does not work. When you plug a USB stick to the USB 2.0 port power led on the memory stick lights up but the led data is not. The computer does not at all to the inserted USB memory. The USB works fine in other 3.0 ports. I tried also to connect other USB devices, and it's the same thing. They work well on USB 3.0 ports, but nothing happens when you connect to a USB 2.0 port.

I was looking at the USB drivers in Device Manager and haven't noticed anything that seems strange.

I have run the system test diagnostic USB to start the system and got the following codes:

    Failure ID: 9BXQGK-6JK858-QFPK0K-8D0G03

  • Flickering line on monitor dv7 envy

This is a repost from yesterday. For several days a thin horizontal line appears in the lower part of the screen on my envy laptop computer dv7 - Windows 8, Intel i5 processor - I bought in January 2013.The line flickers in various colors and is very annoying. I pulled the top of the screen of the BIOS and the line does not appear. I do not have another monitor to plug, so I can't run this test. Everything else works normally. Any suggestions on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

What about Windows 7? Superior to Vista way. Your video chip Radeon HD3450 is on the list of specifically not supported by Windows 10 chips. Windows 8 would probably work OK, but you would be better with 7 instead of 8. I know for sure 7 works fine as I have Windows 7 running on essentially the same model without any problem.
