HP Photosmart 7520 questions

I just plugged in my new printer and in the whole of love.  However, where can I print an instruction manual on how to use it?  I know there's help online versions... but sometimes, I love having her hand.

Second question, the touch screen becomes black.  I have the touch and it happens... but is there a certain place, you touch, to wake up?

THX.

Hello

You can download all manauls from the following link:

http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us&LC=en&DLC=en&product=5199463

Like many of the screens nowadys, it can go to sleep to save power and himself. Normally he wakes up when you touch it OR there work down.

Kind regards.

Hello. I've seen a number of posts in the forums on this printer do not scan in color and have already tried a hard reset and were also in the HP utility.

The problem is that the printer will not scan in color, either by using the document feeder, or when I manually load pages.

In the HP utility, I did:

    1. Select printer

    2. Open option "Scan to Computer".

    3. choose 'scan tasks.

    4. double click on the Document

And that's where it won't.  I don't have an option called "Mode", although I have a menu drop down called "Presets". Nothing in the Presets called color, but there is something called "Photos, graphics, etc. I changed "Last settings used" presets to this photos... option and clicked 'OK' but it does not save it and it's the last settings used when I re - open the window.

Any ideas on that? I have screenshots of utility windows saved on Pinterest to http://www.pinterest.com/pin/338473728219048646/ and http://www.pinterest.com/pin/338473728219048648/

    Hi @Jackpine2,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see your HP Photosmart 7520 gives you a cartridge error "one or more of your cartridges appear to be missing or damaged." You have no Photo black cartridge inserted.

The answer to your question is Yes, should not have all of the cartridges installed in order to continue printing. The reason is that ink system draws from all cartridges, for the maintenance of the tasks etc.. To get a better understand click on the link below:

  • Problem with not to print all pages in a document with a HP Photosmart 7520

I have a HP Photosmart 7520 networked printer.  If I try to print a document of medium to large sized (25 pages), it prints the first 20 without problem, but the remaining pages are incomprehensible and illegible. Initially, because it appeared that the problem was caused triny to print in the background with the closed document, so I tried to print the entire document with it open along the.  This no longer works.

Hello CRC8591, I hope you are well

I understand that you have a problem with printing a 25-page document that the last 5 pages are so do not print correctly and show to be unreadable. I want to help you with this question, the best that I can!

I have a few questions to familiarize yourself a little more with the question and I have also some suggestions to start with.

    1. what operating system do you use?

Operating system Windows am I running?
Mac OS X: how to find which Mac OS X Version is on my computer?

    2. try to print the document of several pages of another program. It prints successfully elsewhere?

    3. the same problem occurs when you copy or scan multipage documents?

    Try:

    1. reset of the printer and leave unplugged for at least a minute.

Plug the printer directly into the wall, avoiding bars power and surge protectors. This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

    2. check if the printer needs a firmware update: get the latest Firmware and updates

    Let me know the results!

    Have a great Tuesday

Printer is not in the network once he spends in standby mode. Only works after I have unplug and plug printer back in.

    Hi @tilliegirl

I understand that you're having trouble with your Photosmart 7520. When the printer goes into sleep mode it loses the connection to the network.

  • Photosmart HP 7520: photosmart 7520 printer all-in-one fell my SSID wireless

My photosmart 7520 worked well until a few days ago.  It has stopped printing.  Wireless test report I am not connected.  I tried the wizard wireless set up to get reconnected but my wireless router number has disappeared from the list.  I typed it in manually but it won't.   Anyone know how I can print again?

    Hi @msibrox,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that your HP Photosmart 7520 will not connect wireless to your Windows 7 computer. I'm happy to discuss this issue for you!

I would say to begin with a hard reset, by going to this post, How to perform a hard reset, by @Rich1. It is important that the power cable from the printer is plugged directly into the wall outlet, not a surge protector. Questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power. This is true for printers and ink jet.

I would also like to cycle power to the router. (With the router, unplug the power cable, wait 30 seconds and plug it back.) Wait for the lights to come back and try to connect to the printer again. Installation of the wireless printer.

If it still does not work, print a Network Setup page. Print a Network Configuration Page, let me know if something falls down, and the number of disconnects.

I hope hear from you soon!

  • Photosmart 7520: Must the Photosmart HP 7520 TWO black ink cartridges (complete and installed) to work?

    Hello

I read a few threads where people are struggling with the question of black ink with this printer. These threads, it seems clear that HP didn't design this system very well, and I would tend to agree. Even if someone said I could find the cartridge (bowtie) smaller at Staples, I can't find it. Even if I could find it, I don't want to have 2 kinds of ink black to store all the time. And my printer does not print black with only a new XL Black 564 installed. Is there a setting I'm missing in the menu where I can choose the XL cartridge only? The manual is not clear on this, and I think it's something that should be clearly explained.

My question is simple, and please, one who answers, read my questions and do not provide a generic incomplete response and then put a little check mark 'Resolved' next to this problem. With 3 wires, that I read on this subject, the question NOT yet resolved or fully explained.

The printer may be used and black printing using only the right XL cartridge or do I need to have both complete and installed black cartridges to work? And a follow-up, the left cartridge (bowtie) should stay there so he works or can I remove it and keep filling the cartridge XL to go forward with the empty to the left slot. If you work for HP and you are reading this and 100% do not know the answer... call someone at HP who has designed this printer and know please let me know.

    Thank you!

The printer requires all cartridges having ink - they don't need to be full, but they all need to be installed and have adequate ink.  The thick black cartridge is pigmented black, mainly used for text and graphics on paper.  Thinner bowtie is the photo cartridge.  It contains dye black ink based and is designed for printing on photo paper.  Black pigmented ink is not compatible with the glossy photo media, black of the photo will be used in cases where the photo paper is selected in the driver or detected automatically.

The Photosmart 7520 has separated from the inks and printheads, with plumbing to connect.  All inks must be present to prevent air intake in the plumbing or the print heads and keep the printheads from clogging.  See here for more information on using ink.

  • Photosmart 7520 - USB & drivers auto installed - WHAT?

Windows 7 Home Premium on an HP desktop PC.  I have a HP Photosmart 7520 all-in-one installed via a USB connection.  All my software Windows & HP's current, I think.   I have restarted 10 minutes there and had not printed whatever it is and really did not have anything except throwing IE - and I was viewing a web page.  Suddenly, I get a Windows pop up telling me there install the USB drivers and my printer - WHAT?  So as far as I could tell, 'install' ran OK.  But now when I see "start |" Devices and printers', I see icons for both my 7520 (which is my default printer) and a 7520 (copy1).  What is with that?  Also, I see an icon for what looks like a generic Windows fax device.

So-, none of you experts know what is happening here and if everything is OK?

    Hello cwr64,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand when you restarted the computer, a pop-up shown installing drivers for USB connection and your printer. I will do my best to help you! Sometimes you can experience on a Windows computer if you have a USB cable plugged into the computer when it starts up. This does not mean that the Photosmart 7520 installation has a problem. I recommend you remove the copy of your devices and printers:

    1) click on your Start Menu, then printers and devices

    (2) right click on the Photosmart 7520 (1 copy) and select Remove the instrument

    (3) now, you must have a printer, right-click on it and select set as default

Yes, you will have a generic fax install in devices and printers, because the software comes with a built-in fax software. You can delete this, if you do not use the fax feature. (However, if you remove and want to use the Fax software in the future, you have to reinstall the whole printer software package.)

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

  • Photosmart 7520 even ADF Premium PhotoSmart C410?

    Hi all

The port of fax on my PhotoSmart C410 appears to be dead and unfortunately we still need send faxes from time to time I'm looking to replace the C410.  It seems that the PhotoSmart 7520 is the replacement so my question becomes use the 7520 the same mechanism as the C410 ADF? The ADF C410 never worked modernizations, so we had to hold and manually it help feed everything we wanted to analyze and/or fax.  I placed a number of technical support calls when we bought first, but was never able to operate reliably.  So if the 7520 uses the same companents ADF then I'll have to look for another provider.

    Thank you.

    Hello

They do not use the same part. The 7520 use part #CQ733-60015 and the C410 part #CC334-60007

    Kind regards.

  • HP Photosmart 7520 will not print envelopes

My all-in-one HP Photosmart 7520 suddenly stopped printing of envelopes. I have already printed their but now they come out just to empty, and I have no idea why?

    Hi ronalds173,

I would like to help.  You can answer a few questions?

    1. What color ink is supposed to be printed on the envelopes?
    2. Can you make a copy using this color ink?
    3. Can you print other documents using this color from the computer to the printer?
    4. Can you estimate the level of ink in its entirety for each cartridge, by looking at the gauge of printer ink?

  • HP photosmart 7520: 7520 printer does not turn on

had a paper jam, had to move far right cartridges.  easy to remove some risk of stuck leaves none behind the printer.  No tears in paper, printer turned off itself and I can't turn it back on.  Thanks a lot for possible solutions.

    Hello @sara3!

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

I would be more then happy to lend a hand.  Looks like you did a lot of troubleshooting for a paper jam already.  The first thing I always suggest is to plug the printer into the wall directly if there is currently a power surge protector or extension cord. This may sound silly, but this will ensure the printer gets full power and can eliminate any unnecessary troubleshooting. If the printer is no longer becomes full power of power against power surges or extension cord, it can give a false errors, have bad connection, paper issues food, quality problems etc.

I'm not sure if you have gone through this paper paper jam still but I recommend you to take a glance to ensure the troubleshooting of all has been done.

If you still have the problem then your printer may require an update of the firmware.  An update updates the operating system in the printer.  If the printer needs this update you can get random questions.  It is recommended to connect the printer to the computer with a USB cable when you perform an update of the Firmware.

Download and run the Firmware update here: update of Firmware for Photosmart 7520 located under Firmware (1)

If you please, after back and let me know if this solves the problem.

  • Issue on Photosmart 7520 firmware update

    Hello

I just got my new HP printer today and it is a HP Photosmart 7520, which is optimal.

I was looking online and I noticed there is a firmware update in the support section.

My question is my printer has firmware ELM1CN1409AR and the HP firmware site is ELM1CN1320AR. Is my most recent firmware or the one shown on the HP support site?

My firmware is older, should I update the firmware or just to leave things as is?

I'm not having problems with the printer from now, but I always check all drivers and firmware all my products.

    Thanks in advance

    Fred

as long as you are connected to a computer via USB... I doubt that you will experience the problems that are reported SIGNIFICANTLY on the 7520.

As you saw in my post that you referenced, with a USB connection, the problem of intermittent scanning/printing moved not.

In addition, please see my entry in the post depending on the current firmware version vs what HP has posted on its support page:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/printer-networking-and-wireless/7520-won-t-stay-connected/TD-p/3954900

the version currently installed on your printer, ELM1CN1409AR, is the last (at the date of this post) that any printer 7520 connected to a router will be automatically updated.

However, please note that for those of us, using a wifi connection from the printer to a router, the firmware version ELM1CN1409AR has not resolved intermittent connectivity issues.

  • Photosmart 7520 No. Solutions portal / activity report of programs

I just installed my new Photosmart 7520 apparently without problems.  It works, BUT when I click on the desktop icon, all that appears are two notebook documents which say basically nothing.  I would really like the programs progress that I enjoyed with my Photosmart eStn C510A and HP Solutions portal.  I tried to uninstall and reinstall CD and online support.  I've done everything I can think or suggests that support online, nothing is done.  According to the manual online, I really need to have these programs.  How can I get them?  I really want to come back to this printer.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
