  Assume that the file is too big to attach it. Don't worry about this.

  Since you still have questions, even with the USB connection, I would like to try the following:

  Fix permissions of the drive on the Mac:

  Close all applications.

  In the Apple menu, click OK, click Applications, and then click utilities.

  Double-click disk utility.

  Highlight your hard drive / partition on the left.

  Click on check and then repair disk permissions.

  Restart the computer...

  Reset the printing system:

  Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer deleted can be re-added later by clicking the sign plus (+) symbol.

  Click on the Apple icon and then click on System Preferences.

  Click on Printers & Scanners.

  Make a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left white side panel, and then click Reset printing system.

  Click OK to confirm the reset.

  Type the name and the correct password.

  Click OK to reset the printing system.

  Then click on the sign to add the driver, highlight the printer +. (you may need to click the drop down menu to select the name of the printer) Then click the Add button.

  Is it possible to use the scanner without ink or with empty cartridges cartridges.

  I don't use it for printing but I would still use it as a scanner.

  Suppliers (all) should allow printers scan ONLY without necessity of inks. Unfortunately the way they work now: they will stop working during the warming up/verification of the process when no inks or missing ink because firstly, they are printers.

  Hello

  First unplug the USB.

  Click on the start icon and select Control Panel, select Printers and display devices.

  Right-click on any instande listed HP C8100 printer and select remove device.

  Then download and install the following software:

  http://ftp.HP.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL30662/MP-110040-3/PS_AIO_02_Net_Full_Win_WW_140_408-5.exe

  Do not connect USB until the installation breaks to do so.

• C8100: c8100 prints 4 x 6 tab

  I used my HP C8100 for years without problem.  It has been a while since I tried to print a photo 4 x 6 from the photo tray.  Now when I get ready print a big white tab at the bottom of EACH photo instead of the one without borders?  I can't understand what I'm doing wrong.  I went to the properties in the menu of the camera/printer and the photo tray is configured it.  Any suggestions?

  I see that when you print photos on your HP Photosmart C8100 series All - in - One Printer there is a large white tab at the bottom of the page. I would like to help you to solve this problem today.

  To begin troubleshooting, check printing the without borders:

  • (1) click on the Start menu

  • (2) open devices and printers

  • (3) right-click on your Photosmart

  • (4) left click on Printing Preferences

  • (5) click on the features tab

  • (6) check without margins in the section on the left resizing Options

  Now that without borders are selected, try printing the photo.

  If the question of the white tab persists, can you tell me:
  
  • (1) what program you are trying to print from?

  • (2) makes this problem occurs when you print from another program?

• hpqpsutils02.dll error message

  I am running Win XP SP3 with HP Photosmart C8100 all-in-one printer.  Whenever I click on HP Photosmart Essential 2.5 or 3.5, I get an error message stating that the program cannot run because hpqpsutils02.dll is missing and that I should try to reinstall.  Ok!  But my question is where can I find this dll and install it.  A Google search gives results only with companies offering a free scan, then an incentive to buy their product to resolve the problem.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Try using the brush included in the CD or download.

  Of the Original installation CD:

  1. Insert the CD in the drive and then cancel Setup

  2. open my computer and click right then on the CD from the drive and select open

  3 open the Util folder

  4 open the CCC folder

  5. If you have an HP computer, run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a computer not HP, run the L4uninstall.exe

  6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

  7 run the Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup

  8. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

  9 download drivers and full software features

  Problem - will not print black. Print head needs.

  Another problem - unit was shipped to BEST BUY in Atlanta. HP will not sell a new Assembly seat to BEST BUY. HP will not provide me with a list of repair facilities who can repair my printer. I was told that I must make my own control. For example, Office Depot's list as an approved repair station, but it took a phone call to establish the fact that they repair computers only.

  NEED of MY - name and telephone number of a repair center that can repair my printer OR establishment of retailing that has a new unit on hand (or a later version that accepts 02 cartridges). Thank you.

  The print head for the c6180 are not replaceable, they are permanent.  I suggest that you call HP to 1-800-HPINVENt and inquire about service options.

  There is no current models of HP using the 02 cartrdiges, but there may be some available new old stock.  Here are the published since 2005 printers using 02 ink cartridges:

  With a volume of printing only fifty pages per week, a CIS system may be exaggerated.  I print on my Officejet 8600 thereon more and have just replaced the cartridges once in eighteen months.

  I do not believe there are all the models currently available that use cartridge 02.

  I heard that HP has (had?) a trade-in program for its intact packaging expired cartridges.  See this post for a suggestion.

  I had Geek Squad go through everything on computer, looking for latest info on your site, etc.  Conclusion: Need new driver for the scanner compatible with El Capitan.

  Is a new driver in preparation?  I would like to know as soon as it is available, because I scan a lot of information every week.

  I saw your post on scanning problems you are having with your B210a Photosmart on El captain and wanted to answer you. You have the printer model does not have a comprehensive driver features and software available on 10.11, to this effect, you will not be able to scan with HP Software. Try to install the printer using an Apple software update after the uninstall of the printer as shown below and then try to scan using Easy Scan or screenshot images. I hope this will help you!

  1. Reset the printing system
  2. Restart the Mac.
  3. Follow this guide: Printers HP - install Mac printer driver using Apple Software Update
  4. In addition, to download this driver: HP v3.0 for OS X printer drivers
  5. Try scanning with Easy Scan and Apple Image Capture

• Photosmart 6520: Photosmart 6520 impression with El Capitan

  I've just upgraded to a new iMAc OS X 10.11 El Capitan running. Not surprsingly my printer Photosmart 6520 wouldn't print after implementation of the new system. I followed the instructions online and downloaded the latest software of printer driver on the HP site. I noted that it was for the previous OS Mavericks. Downloaded and installed successfully and everything seemed in order. However, I am still not able to print a simple word document. In the utility dialog box printer, I get the message that the print is "order - incapable of start-up session, result = - 10, 1 page'."  Any help is greatly appreciated.

  Note, this is not a problem with thewireless network I can print documents in online test on the HP support site.

  After having in vain with all previous attempts, the problem of the printer was resolved yesterday by downloading the OS X, El Capitan 10.11.2 software was last updated.

  Although not specifically mentioning any improvements put to date regarding printing, it solved my problem as soon as the update has been installed.

  If anyone else is having problems printing to an HP printer, you use El Capitan, and even download the latest printer driver software, update of El Capitan would be following procedure I would recommend.
