  We bought a KVM rack and keyboard with our Dell 4210 support about 2 years ago.  We have received "No Signal" for a while on the screen, and I finally had time to open the side of the basket and take a look.

  I see that the insulation of the monitor cable that is built into the console monitor was rubbed through and some of the money i wire mesh has been broken.  It is to the first bend of the cable guide and must have been rubbing.  I guess that's the cause of the error 'no signal '.

  I would like to replace the cable, but releasing the anchor on the middle of the back of the monitor seems impossible after removing all the hexagonal bolts around the perimeter.  I cut the label above the dimple found in the center of the screen back but found that there is not a fastener which can be manipulated.

  1. Is it possible to open this beast, if I can replace the cable?  I don't really have the budget for a new console.
  2. If it cannot be opened and closed and then after working on it, everyone is aware it is possible to connect with success a RGB cable?

  I have a Sat A30 perfect by all means other than 2 USB2 ports on the back that are damaged (black plastic seperaters between connectors jumped) not quite sure why this happened because I was simply unplug the connected usb plugs on both occasions.

  The connectors were not especially tight. fault is I have no insulation between copper connectors which are still found in the slots and causes a short circuit, when I plug in a usb device.

  I bought a card mother relpacement (damaged) and usb2 connections are OK! Have good technician experience in carring out Soldering/desoldering and has all the tools. Problem is that I have not the slightest idea what connections under the Board of Directors are required to unsolder my damaged usb2 card in order to remove/swop and perform the necessary replacement.

  I'm sure I'll be advised to contact an authorized reseller of Tosh. I tried this and they say that they will be already only the motherboard together and the cost is horrible. I would rather make the repair myself that's not rocket science.

  The techies out there who could counsel with picture of the relevent pins to desoldering in order to remove and repair the fault would be greatly appreciated.

  Please don't be crazy about me, but in my opinion, is not a very good idea to open the notebook alone if you don't have a lot of experience with it. Laptops are designed on the specific way and exchange of material is not so easy as the exchange of material to work stations.

  Believe me that a small error in the assembly/disassembly procedure can case damage to equipment or the façade of the same laptop parts. I know that there's not much service partner assistance because they want to do. It costs money, but you must understand that if they give that kind of advice or information they may close the shop very soon.

  You can try to do it alone, but at your own risk and be careful.

  It is not an easy task, but it can be done carefully by a non-technical person.
  First of all, you need to remove the plastic cover of the rear, trying to avoid breaking the little hooks that keep it closed
  (you can use an old credit card or a pallet of thin plastic).
  Once the device has been opened, try to release the cable around the unit to the battery by removing the strips of yellow glue.
  After that, you will need to disconnect the Terminal one or two flat cable connectors (very small units, so I suggest you use a magnifying glass for home appliances repair /).
  In the next step, you need to separate the battery connector of the other terminal to the circuit board.
  Finally, you will need to release the lower side of the battery of the aluminum plate. Be patience because two of them
  are fixed by double-sided tape.
  It is time to replace the battery and back to the routine of disassembly.

  OK because that is a thing of warranty which may be worth dip the printhead as described below...

  (1) get a pan and put 1/2 "of very hot (not boiling) water in the bottom.
  (2) remove all ink cartridges, then remove the print head Assembly.
  (3) gently put the printhead nozzles down in water and soak for 5 minutes.
  (4) remove the print head and gently dry the electrical contacts.
  (5) replace the print head in the printer and then reinstall the ink cartridges.

• sent from my macbook air in under applecare repair. They solved the problem yesterday I picked up my laptop but the problem occurred again. my warranty is place in seven will they return after fixing is not the issue

I back my laptop yesterday but I have experienced the same keys not work - they finally started working again, but I will return to Boston for college next week and my applecare warranty is up Sept. 4. My question is will take apple my laptop back and fix what they don't apparently fixed the first time, even if my applecare is released or do I need to rush ALL THE WAY back to apple to drop it again. the only reason why I want to wait is because I want to see if it happens again, I did an update and it looks good, but if it happens again I want to be fixed correctly.

  It is not completely repaired to your satisfaction. Immediately call Apple Care or bring your Apple Store. Nobody here can answer your questions. Apple can only respond.

  Try this first:

  Start the mac all holding the SHIFT key, it is slow, connection, and then select Restart from the Apple menu.

  When this does not help:

  Reset password utility in the recovery Partition:

  1. Restart your computer from the recovery partition.
  2. Open disk utility and run a repair permissions on your boot volume (in ElCapitan click the first aid tab). Once this completed, close disk utility. We do this for good measure.
  3. Open a Terminal from the Utilities menu. Type in resetpassword and select your user (NOT administrator system/root) account in the menu drop-down.
  4. Click on the Reset button at the bottom of the window ACL section and Reset the folder permissions.
  5. Exit the utility password and return to the main recovery menu.
  6. On your keyboard, press ⌘ + Q and restart your computer. It is very important that you don't hold down the power button to exit the recovery session, or the ACL Reset to occur.

  My friends laptop - a S300-120 - was having a few problems.

  I replaced some parts about this before, including a screen crack with no problems.

  However, he began to refuse to start saying "out of battery CMOS, Press F1 to enter setup". We have replaced the CMOS battery with a with the same serial number and now the laptop will not boot.

  It does one of two things.

  I re-assembled the laptop several times & can not find all the missing fittings or obvious signs of damage.

  The only thing I can think is that the motherboard has been damaged - somehow find replacements is delicate.

  Any ideas?

  In my opinion, it looks like a problem with the motherboard :(
