HP Printer Wizard opens AMD Catalyst Install Manager to install the HP Photosmart basic drivers

I have upgraded to Windows 8 and want to install HP print and scan drivers for my Photosmart 7515e. However when I try, the wizard always wants to open the Catalyst Install Manager and reinstall this software. I do not understand why this should happen or why there may be a link between the printer drivers and CCC. Does anyone have an idea or an answer? Thanks in advance.

I spoke with some colleagues and one of them was something you can try.  JonW suggested that CCC could extract to a folder name such as HP software.  The way around this problem would be to access your temp folder, delete the content, extract the software of the printer again, cancel Setup, access the folder temp again, rename the 7z folder, move to a different location 7z folder and run the setup.exe from the new location.  I'm total, instructions from the bottom a little more in detail.  Give it a shot and let me know what happens.

  1. Press the Windows key and type %temp%.
  2. Click the Temp folder.
  3. Press Ctrl + A to select all, or right-click and choose Select all.
  4. Press SHIFT + DELETE to completely delete the contents of the temp folder.  If a message appears saying: it cannot remove a file because it is in use, move this file.
  5. Run, or download and run the installer again.
  6. Once the installation finishes extract and arrives the first screen, cancel the installation.
  7. Access to the Temp folder again.
  8. Click the 7z folder to select it.
  9. Right-click on the 7z file and rename it.  I would say something like HP 7515 drivers in this way it is easy to find.
  10. Right-click on the 7z folder and select cut.
  11. Open a new directory and paste the file or paste the file directly on the desktop.  You can even put the file on a flash/thumb/jump drive and run it from there.
  12. Open the folder.
  13. Find the Setup.exe file and double-click it to run it.

  • Install the HP Photosmart all-in-One printer-D110a malfunction

I can not the printer HP D110A properly uninstall or reinstall on my computer.  I have a desktop HP Pavilion with Windows 7 64 bit with an Intel Core processor.

I went through many suggestions on the HP support site, more than once, and the installation failed every time with the message "the system cannot find the file specified."  This message is displayed if I install more software HP Photosmart and pilot or just the HP Photosmart basic drivers.  I went to Control Panel programs and features and uninstalled all HP without change.  I also deleted temporary files and folders without change.

Once that occurs, I hit very well and it sends a report to HP and shows me an error situation code: 32438568.  The program starts then uninstall points, but - error after a few minutes with the message "HP Installer uninstaller has stopped working".  In the background grey, I can see its order to step 9/11, to the location of the progress of the installation of Software\Microsoft\Active.

I also tried the HP printer program and searched the forum without success help files.  Please help, I want to just install my printer.

Problem solved!  Here's what I did to get the printer D110a Photosmart software and drivers installed.

1 - Download the full version of the software on the HP site.  Do not choose the version of the base drivers.  We will remove unnecessary items in another step.

2 turn off your antivirus, antispyware, and firewall.  Make sure that you disable all of them.

3 disable startup: click on the Windows icon in the system tray, type msconfig in the search field and click Enter.  Choose "Selective startup" and uncheck "Load Startup items".  Click 'Apply' and then 'OK '.

    4 restart your computer.

5 - Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.

6 - click on the file of the software that you downloaded.  During installation, you will arrive at a screen of welcome from HP with several buttons.  Click on "install".  In the next screen, there are 3 or 4 links.  Click on one, titled, 'Software' or 'select software.  Uncheck the print smart Web, HP Photo Creations and Customer Participation program.  (You will be able to install it later if you wish.  Now we want to simply get the print, scan, and copy functions work).

7 - proceed with the installation.  Connect the USB cable when prompted.  If you can, test by making an impression and then a scan.

    8. remember to go back to msconfig and check 'Normal Startup'.  Then click 'Apply' and 'OK '.

    9. turn your firewall, antivirus and antispyware programs turn it back on.

It was the only thing that worked for me.  I found a large number of these instructions in separate solutions of HP and help articles, but I had to put it all together to get the software and drivers to install correctly.  I hope this helps someone.

You could settle on a previous installation. Try this:

Go to your device manager and see if you have an old installation of the printer and right click Uninstall. You can also check if there is an old facility of the printer in Control Panel, printers, right click and delete it. Install the printer using the Add Printer Wizard. If it fails again with the same error, go to Device Manager right click on the name of your computer, click on "Scan for harware changes". He must find the printer and install it. Now you can check your printer if its work. If this does not work, please indicate your model of printer on your next reply.

  • USB Wizard will not automatically install the usb/flash drives

    Hello

Working on a laptop, I have a strange problem. Insertion of a usb device (disks hard usb flash are all that I tested) opens the new hardware Installation Wizard.
If I choose "Install the software automatically", the wizard still fails. If I select "Install from a list or specific location", then choose as location c:\windows\inf, it still works. The wizard should not be checking this place on its own?
    Things I've tried:
-Reinstall the USB devices in Device Manager
    -Microsoft Fix it 50052
    Gateway, MX6441 laptop
    Windows MCE
    Service Pack 3
    All the important updates installed

    Hello

It seems that Windows loses somehow USBSTOR.xxx files in the C:\Windows\INF folder. You can simply copy them from (C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\usbstor.inf_x86_neutral_83027f5d5b2468d3) to C:\Windows\INF, and that might solve the problem.

  • Printer installation error (could not install the driver, error 28)

I just bought a new printer (Epson XP-204) and tried to install it on my laptop Dell XPS15 (running edition W7 home 64-bit).

After you have installed the software and drivers, I connected the printer to a USB port, Windows detects it and started to install the driver. After a few seconds, I got an error message telling me that it was an error and the driver could not be installed (error 28).
I managed to make the printer works by using its WiFi connectivity, but now, I found ALL my USB printers have disappeared and I can't use it anymore. Whenever I plug a printer into the USB port, I get the same message with error 28. What is happening on printers that worked very well until I tried to install the new Epson in the USB port.
I tried to restore the system to the State prior to the installation, but the system restore fails to complete and return an error message.
All my USB devices work ok (mouse, storage, debuggers, etc) the problem only occurs with the printers.
I tried to start in safe mode and remove all USB devices, but after mounting them again once the error occurs again.
I don't know what else to do (reinstallation of the operating system is not an option, and if I do, I swear I'll go to Linux).
    No idea?

I copied the file from another machine, removed the printer in Device Manager, rescan the devices and Windows found and installed all the drivers with success!

If your second line means that the fax machines and Printers window is empty - NO printer icon - then the immediate cause is that the print spooler service is not running.

Start the print spooler service as follows:

Start > run > net start spooler > OK

If everything works now, then fine.  More that likely, however, the print spooler service stops again.  If it does, the circumstances in which she stops (that is, what do you do when it stops) and all messages in the event viewer (start > run > eventvwr > OK) will help determine the cause.

Generally, the print spooler service stops because a printer or a pending print job driver is corrupted somehow.  The indications here explain how to clean the printer drivers (necessary before re-installing) as well as all pending print jobs:http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htm

Original title: WMC no longer works after update of August 10

Windows Media Center has stopped working after installation of my Windows 7 Professional pc all 11 updates gave me on August 11, 2010. I used system restore to the day before the updates, and install them individually. The first 9 no trouble with WMC. But the IE8 KB982664 for Windows 7 compatibility view list caused my action center to report that I needed to check the undeclared solutions to problems. WMC would still start. But after installing KB983590 .NET framework 3.5.1 for Windows 7 x 86, WMC has stopped working.

After you uninstall update 2 above WMC would still not start.

After using the system again restore forward updates, I installed the other 9 updated with, so far, no problem with WMC.

I downloaded all the drivers of "My Toshiba.com.au" and everything was fine until I tried to install the Realtek Lan driver and VGA driver, all other drivers work very well, but he does not accept these two drivers.

    _Regarding the display driver: _
    Which driver do you have?
On the Toshiba driver page, you can find two different drivers (AMD/ATI and Intel) and a comment: +(For Supported Model Only) +.
This means that you need to check the GPU and must use the correct driver.

Your laptop is equipped with an Intel graphics chip. Then DON T install AMD/ATI driver!

    _Regarding LAN driver: _
What's the problem exactly? Do you get any error messages?
Can you please provide more details.
