HP Probook 450 G2: adapt WLAN upgrade possible?

Hello

My Probook 450 has a slow transferspeed of via Wifi connection. I have the Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11 bgn 1 x 1 Wi - Fi (+ BT4.0 HMC Combo adapter?)

but I don't know that I have the adapter bluetooth handsets. This because I see only 1 cable antenna.

The adapter also has only a single connection point (only the hand). Not mean there is no antenna for bluetooth? Or should I open the frame and looking for her?

Can I put this adapter for extra speed to Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2 x 2 WiFi + Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 BT 4.0 adapter combo?

Hope someone can clearify this.

Rgds,

Theo

ProductType J4S15EA #ABH

You are the very welcome.

I'm very surprised it is working very well and have good reception on both bands with a single antenna.

  • HP ProBook 450 G0 - brands of spare wireless adapter

    Hello, community,

I have a question about my options of parts wireless adapter for my laptop HP ProBook 450 G0.

For now, the laptop that I have has

    root@Linux:~# lspci | grep 'network controller '.
03:00.0 network controller: Ralink Corp. device 3290

and I can't say that I am fully satisfied with the quality of the wifi adapter sensitivity I don't know if it's me being out of luck or it's normal and behaviour expected for this model, but the fact is that I have two options now - either buy an adapter external usb or replace the internal adapter by another.

While the options for an external adapter ubs are quite clear, the spare parts for an internal card are not so. So basically here's the question: what are my options? I heard there are adapters, one made by atheros, broadcom and intel, but do not know if they are compatible with my particular laptop model. And if they are, what would the references.

    Thank you.

Yes. HP lock the BIOS, and if you install something else very accurate wifi adapters the system will not DISPLAY. You are right in thinking the Ralink is not the best option. Your best bet is Atheros and Intel in that order. Broadcom cards are a bit difficult to configure with Linux, but it can be done. • Problem with Hyper-V (Windows 8.1 on HP Probook 450 G0)

Hello community HP. I recently bought a HP Probook 450 G0 (i5 - 3230M + HD8750), after which I came across a problem and could not find any solution is linked. Here are the steps to reproduce the problem:

-Install a fresh Pro Windows 8.1 - sweetness

-Activate the virtualization technology (VTx) via the BIOS - OK

-Connect to Windows and enable the Hyper-V technology

-Restart the computer - problem appears.

Now, my computer takes forever to connect to Windows, with an indicator of spinning and the Windows logo.

I searched through several similar questions as Gigabyte motherboard problem or and couldn't find something that works. Most possibly related thread is this one.

I upgraded my BIOS to Version: F.25 (October 24, 2013) 19/08/2013 initial version, but it has led to nothing.

I need Hyper-V for Windows Phone SDK 8.0 (Windows Phone emulator 8). I hope for a solution as soon as this prevents me from working on this computer.

  • ProBook 450 G0: 10 Windows will not sleep or Hibernate or start properly

    Hello!

    Hello!

Recently I did a clean install of windows 10 and I have a problem I forgot my past experience with this version of windows: my system is unable to go to sleep (or he can't wake mode 'sleep') or Hibernate.

Example of situation: I put the system to sleep, it shuts down (the power button blinks always - it's what he does when the laptop is in sleep mode) and when I press the power button (or click on my mouse) system does not. Either he starts as a fresh start (as no "sleep mode" has never been there) or the screen goes black, stay like that for a while and then stops (and, of course, when I open it again it is like a new beginning).
I never met such a problem on all other versions of windows. I did almost (if not all) of the suggestions and tutorials on the internet about it. The BIOS is up to date, so is my driver chipset with the rest of my drivers. Is it possible to fix this? It's the only thing that will make me return to windows 7.

    HP ProBook 450 G0 with:

    Intel Core i7-3632QM

    Graphics Intel HD 4000 / AMD Radeon HD 8600 / 8700M

    8 GB RAM

    SSD 240 GB KINGSTON SV300

PS: I found this link where I discovered that the decommissioning of the bios to an older version would work, but I can't find versions older for my laptop.

I have not upgraded to Windows 7 to 10. I did a clean install and I manually installed the drivers for the AMD and Intel video hardware.

I found how to solve this problem by making this upgrade of repair: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/wiki/insider_wintp-insider_install/how-to-perform-a-repair-upgrade-using-the-windows/35160fbe-9352-4e70-9887-f40096ec3085
Someone who has the same problem, I had perhaps try this method, as any other internet method did not work for me.

    Thanks anyway for your answer!

  • mSATA update for HP ProBook 450 G1 (E9Y25EA)

    Hello.

I wish to upgrade a HP ProBook 450 G1 (E9Y25EA) with an mSATA SDS (32 or 64 or 128 GB).

The motive is to migrate the operating system to mSATA.

I will keep the HARD drive for the rest of the data.

The OS is Windows 7, and it is possible to upgrade to Windows 8 or 8.1.

Can anyone in the HP forum update me if the specified ProBook can be improved with a SDS mSATA?

Is there only a HP recommended vendor or brand (with model number) for the desired capability mSATA SDS?

Where can I find a procedure for this upgrade?

Are there known risks and complications for this upgrade?

    Kind regards.

    Here is your Service Manual:

It doesn't seem to be an mSATA slot in the computer. HP did not offer an mSATA option, just regular mechanical controls or a SSD to 2.5 inches.
