ProBook 450 upgrade of windows 7 to windows 8
I just bought a Probook G1 450 with Windows 7 Pro installed.
What is the best way to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro the supplied DVD? I work from home if higher security options is not necessary. The HP support site gives two options - inplace upgrade and clean installation as below.
Also where can I find the Windows product key?
Thank you.

Note: This system is preinstalled with Windows 7 Professional software and also comes with a license and support for Windows 8 Pro software. This disk is not a standard Windows installation disc and "clean" and "inplace upgrade" options do not apply. Regarding the Windows product key, it must be integrated in the HP Wndows Pro 8 installation media and Windows must be previously activated.

ProBook 450 G0: 10 Windows will not sleep or Hibernate or start properly
Hello!
Hello!
Recently I did a clean install of windows 10 and I have a problem I forgot my past experience with this version of windows: my system is unable to go to sleep (or he can't wake mode 'sleep') or Hibernate.
Example of situation: I put the system to sleep, it shuts down (the power button blinks always - it's what he does when the laptop is in sleep mode) and when I press the power button (or click on my mouse) system does not. Either he starts as a fresh start (as no "sleep mode" has never been there) or the screen goes black, stay like that for a while and then stops (and, of course, when I open it again it is like a new beginning).
I never met such a problem on all other versions of windows. I did almost (if not all) of the suggestions and tutorials on the internet about it. The BIOS is up to date, so is my driver chipset with the rest of my drivers. Is it possible to fix this? It's the only thing that will make me return to windows 7.HP ProBook 450 G0 with:
Intel Core i7-3632QM
Graphics Intel HD 4000 / AMD Radeon HD 8600 / 8700M
8 GB RAM
SSD 240 GB KINGSTON SV300
PS: I found this link where I discovered that the decommissioning of the bios to an older version would work, but I can't find versions older for my laptop.
I have not upgraded to Windows 7 to 10. I did a clean install and I manually installed the drivers for the AMD and Intel video hardware.
I found how to solve this problem by making this upgrade of repair: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/wiki/insider_wintp-insider_install/how-to-perform-a-repair-upgrade-using-the-windows/35160fbe-9352-4e70-9887-f40096ec3085
Someone who has the same problem, I had perhaps try this method, as any other internet method did not work for me.Thanks anyway for your answer!

ProBook 450 g1: Reinstalling windows 10 x 64 go problem
My computer came with Windows 7 installed and win 8 discs. I've been upgraded to Win 10. I want to do a clean reinstall. How can I get the software and do the work?
Hello
Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.
Please, confirm if I understand you correctly. You want to install Windows 10 new installation?
Just a note - if this is the case, you will lose the original Windows 7 recovery partitions and in case you decide to downgrade to Windows 7, you will not be able to without recovery media.
If this is the case, download the ISO for Windows 10 of Microsoft site > https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO
Burn to DVD or make bootable USB media and install Windows 10 to it.
As far as activation goes, post installation Windows 10 should active fine because you have turned on now (I guess it is now activated) and after a clean installation, it will activate based on digital right >> http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/activation-in-windows-10

ProBook 450 G2: Buttons on the touchpad Windows 10
I recently bought a HP Probook 450 G2, with Windows 7 preinstalled operating system. After the update to Windows 10 (bit 63) I found this one of the buttons on the touchpad is not operational. I can still tap the touchpad for a single or double click, but it leaves me no option to use the right button of the mouse.
I checked the drivers and found that they are updated to 19.0.12.0. I tried also to reset the settings in the properties of the mouse, but had no chance to fix the problem.
Can I use a mouse with the computer, which works very well, but cannot use the touch pad to the quick tips that I have not the time to get out of the mouse.
Can anyone give me any suggestions or point me in the right direction to fix.
jeffspark81
after upgrade windows 10 you must upgrade the Chipset and Bios, and other drivers
after update bios and chipset install please
The system for Windows 10 default settings
You then still have problems editing the Touchpad driver
Open Device Manager go to the Touchpad uninstall the driver with delete option
Install new drivers
You should have, more tochpad driver installed uninstall first

Hello
I have a HP probook 450 GO with Windows 7 pro 64-bit installed.
The laptop has 4 GB of RAM installed, however, when I check this, right-click on 'Computer' then go to 'Properties', it shows 4 GB installed, but only 3.85 GB usable.
Someone has any ideas why this is not displayed as 4 GB usable?
Thank you
If the system has integrated chipset graphics, part of memory is allocated to the integrated graphics chip and the rest is usable RAM.
Hardware components often use some of the memory (RAM) of your internal system for themselves. For example, while a graphics (GPU) card comes with its own RAM, integrated graphics (also called integrated graphics card) uses part of your RAM as video memory.
Your computer may also be allocating part of your RAM to other materials, such as your network hardware.
To determine how much of your RAM is reserved for material and how much is usable by Windows, you can use the window system mentioned above. The total amount of RAM can be used is displayed next to the total amount of memory that Windows can see. In the screenshot below, 0,1 GB of RAM is reserved for materials.

HP ProBook 450 G2: Error 0xc0000225
Hello!
I had a new HP ProBook 450 G2 with windows 8.1. I did the flash drive recovery. Now, I wanted to install windows 10 DEU. Now got 0xc0000225 error code. Not even the recovery disk works. I really don't know what else to do.
Someone suggested during installation, to remove all partitions except the one. It is, does it affect my computer laptop warranty (?) so I have not tried.
Eager to help!
Hello
Please accept my apologies for the delay in replying.
As the integrated recovery partitions are deleted, you will need to use (such as DVD or Flash drive recovery) recovery media.
Here are the instructions to do:
https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=NBrBJ7sAqTo and http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03489643
If you miss this recovery media, contact HP for their / http://h22207.www2.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp / http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-phone-assist.html
Of course, if you don't feel confident to do this yourself, you can take your machine to the service - please see the Service Center authorized HP closest

HP ProBook 450 G0: Problems of HP ProBook G0 450 icons after upgrade to Windows 10
Hello
2 days ago that I have upgraded to Windows 10 my HP ProBook 450 G0.
Then I realized my graphics drivers are not working, I tried to update to the last registered in the section to download the drivers for my model.
After that, I got BSOD and couldn't even see login screen. I removed the update installed in safe mode.
If at the moment I use some default driver I guess.
In the Device Manager on Intel(r) HD Graphics 4000 I something like (manual translation) "Windows has stopped this device because of disorders raported. (Code 43) ».
I can't use the HDMI & display internal. To use the HDMI, I have to restart my PC. After using HDMI, I can't use internal display. A lot of questions, because this driver...
I really need this, as I am a teacher and I ', using both internal display & HDMI for presentations...
All solutions? All the newspapers that I can get to help you help me ?
Kind regards

Also, if I connect the iPhone 6, it does not appear in Windows Explorer.

Hi, Guido:
The only suggestion I can offer on the card reader would be to try the driver W10 support page for your laptop if you have not already done so.
As to why your phone is not appear, unfortunately I don't have any suggestions for this problem.

Hello.
Issues (stop, shaking in the video and sound) are multiply video playback after upgrade Windows 8.1 for Windows 10.
Questions for:
-Playback (avi, mkv, mp4 etc.) VMP Movies & TV AND;
-Playback of video from Youtube by Edge and IE11;
-Video playback in games.
NO problem all does to (workaround):
-Reading of files (avi, mkv, mp4 etc) by VLC player.
-Video playback from Youtube through Firefox.
Not any way to workaround that emit in the games: its integrated use of resources of the browser.
VLC uses own video codecs, so I think that this emission source is possibly in embedded Windows 10 codecs?
Drivers:
Intel SoftPaq Download Manager Video drivers (latest for Windows 10: technical support site the same as at HP).
AMD drivers for Widnows 10 SoftPaq Download Manager (the same that at HP supports the site) is buggy and causes crash (the "internal power error"). If Catalyst drivers from AMD (latest from Windows 10) site.
Additional drivers, also upgraded for Windows 10 (via the SDM for Windows-10): chipset keeps drivers, WiFi, 3D etc.
Any ideas?
Problem has been resolved by unistalling HD Audio drivers (installed on Windows 8.1 early HP).
After the reboot, the drivers HD Audio was automatically installed and then updated via Windows Update.
Video playback is now correct through no fault inside any software (IE, edge, WMP etc.).
