HP Probook 6540 b & Intel Advanced-N ANHMW WiFi 6235

Hello

I have a HP Probook 6540 b with WiFi Intel Wireless-N 1000 (1 x 2) (= Recv Trad. 1 & 2).

According to the specifications, this laptop can also work with the following WiFi equipment:

-ANHMW Intel Advanced-N 622 (2 x 2)

-AGN Broadcom 4322

My question is if it can also work with the latest maps:

-Intel Advanced-N 6235 ANHMW (this is similar to Ultimate - N 633 ANHMW Intel but it's 2 x 2 instead of 3 x 3)

-Killer Wireless-N 1103 (3 x 3)

Thank you

Ioannis

Yes, I know it's a combo, and I thought that somehow I can disable (or delete?) Internal bluetooth module and thus to keep the combo for two features (WiFi + Bluetooth). I guess that's not possible, right?
Now one more question: if I buy the Intel Advanced - N 622 ANHMW (2 x 2), do you think I'm having problems with my BIOS recognize it? I read several posts on the Internet where people say I might be needing a BIOS whitelist "tuned". Is this case for this card as well?

Thank you
Ioannis

6235 Intel won't do anything because of the whitelist. However, some BIOS (like mine with Ultimate - N 6300 works well) can be modded, but it is not recommended. The Intel Advanced - N 6200 is a large map and I got until I installed an Intel 6300. You don't have to risk bricking your laptop if a good upgrade is available (6200). Is the part number: 572509-001

Make sure that the chip has this part number!

This chip I bought cost me £20.

  • ProBook 6540 b: webcam HP Probook 6540 b WinX software/driver

I have a laptop HP Probook 6540 b. When I bought it, it had installed Windows 7. Last fall, I decided to upgrade verification and the hp site I used told me that my laptop was ready to be updated for Windows 10. So I did. Before that process, I backed up all the data, just in case. Seemed to be an unnecessary action. After the upgrade, everything worked fine. Until I needed my webcam. I couldn't since October last to find a WindowsX driver to get my work onboard webcam. HP offers only the drivers for Windows 7, Vista and XP, which are not my OS. Someone has any idea how to fix this problem? Or should I just go to €25 and buy a compatible webcam WindowsX? Thank you in advance for your help!

  • ProBook 6540 b: Core i5 compatibility Win 10

I have a HP Probook 6540 b with an Intel Core i5 processor. Al drivers are up-to-date and the BIOS is flashed to the latest version. The laptop is running Windows 7 Pro 32 bit without any problems and has an index Windows of 6.4 to the processor, it is certainly not slow or decrepit.

How is it possible, then, that Windows update checker tells me that my processor is not good for 10 Windows? Really? a Core i5 processor?, not compatible! ?

He got the best record that my HP xw4400 (Core 2 Duo) which can take 10 Windows without any problems (update is on the PC and ready to go!)

To quote Microsoft... "Windows is designed to work with the software and hardware you already use" and yet my notebook, which is absolutely not obsolete and there is certainly a lot of them out there, cannot run W10, even if the processor meets the requirements.

I hope that someone will bring it to the attention of the right people who can report this circumstance ridiculuos and do something.

By the way... I was told to post here by someone from Microsoft. They know wil run, but the auditor is making it impossible because it is not on their compatibility list.

    Help?

Well, I got a response from Meg Whitman (actually, one of the munchkins) telling me to contact the technical assistance service (duhh).

Do that and they told me to try again in a few months or stay with Windows 7.

    I decided to do niether.

What I did was disable the "Data Execution Prevention" under Securuty option in the BIOS.

And now everything works as it should and the upgrade went quickly and without any problems. My Probook 6540 b is wickedly fast compared to when it was under Windows 7.

Once more the Insyde BIOS screwed up

Hi, I'm in a sea of confusion and perplexity bought by my insurance company

I recently had an accident with my laptop and having been informed my probook 6540 is irreplaceable - no problem, just replace it?  Is no longer available - but we will give you a Pavillion... .eeerrr not.

So some suggestions later, we are now at a ProBook s 4540 (at least it's a Pro book) but HP say that the 6570b is a direct replacement for my old 6540 - insurance company gave me to know if I can give good reasons why... I'm stuck with the 4540 s.

I have now tried to compare the specs - with no idea frankly I want to- and if I come to you for help!

I myself fought after the first offer, but must say that the "as long as the specification is the same, we do not as for as" I tried to explain that while both cars have an engine and about the same function - you wouldn't accept a Skoda on a Bentley... * sigh *.

If someone could help - I'd really like to make what I'm slowly losing the will to live

    It is certainly not fair

I'm off to do some serious scanning-wish me good luck!

  • Mute button proBook 6540 b

    Hello

My ProBook 6540 b has a button mute who should change color (from yellow to blue), but it is locked to orange.
By pressing the mute and UN-mutes the audio but the color does not change. At startup, the button is blue, so I think it's a software/driver problem. Installing the audio driver from the HP Web site does not solve the problem, however.

    Hello

I have a ProBook 6450 b with the latest bios (F23) and remove the Broadcom wireless network and replace it with a new l an Advanced - N 6200 (support 300Mbps) and 5 GHz Intel.

Before I buy this wireless, I downloaded the manual and this wireless network is supported.

    http://h18000.www1.HP.com/products/QuickSpecs/13616_ca/13616_ca.PDF

    Page - 35

but when turn on the laptop, after the hp logo, I see:

"104 - unsupported wireless network device detected system interrupted - remove the instrument and reboot.

I try another device (Intel Wifi Link 1000) and this device work!

    Please hellp

    This is your problem then.

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop:

    http://bizsupport2.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c03122685/c03122685.PDF

The list of wireless cards supported with HP part numbers can be found in Chapter 3, beginning on page 44.

You must get the module WLAN Intel Centrino Advanced-N6200 802.11 a/b/g/n 2 x 2 with HP part #.

    572509 001.

Again, you can buy only a wireless card listed in the service manual for your laptop and it must have the part number HP on it or it won't work.

You can order directly from HP on the link below. You can change your country at the top of the page.

    http://h20141.www2.HP.com/hpparts/default.aspx?mscssid=F13BE835ABCA4E7C851B4DB0F4C74AFC

Or you might be able to get a card on eBay by searching by part number. Are not looking for the model number that you can end up with a card no HP.

  • ProBook 6540 b: no audio signal through Displayport

The Displayport video output on 6540 b does support audio? If so, how I would allow sound through displayport through the windows? I was not able to get sound to participate in one of my TVs that has DisplayPort inputs.

    Hello:

It's possible this is the case.

There are a few PCs that do not support audio out of the view port.

I was hoping that it works.

What would you say to the manage audio devices in the hardware and sound section in the control panel?

You see two audio devices listed?

The laptop speakers would be the IDT audio and if you see an Intel HD audio device, for the display port.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to connect to a display port, select the Intel HD audio device in the window and see if it works.

If you do not see the two audio devices listed there, so I doubt he's has supported audio out of the view port.

  • Intel advanced 6235 N does not not in Hp Envy m4 1115dx - 8.1 Windows

Not happy with the Ralink 5390 card wireless in my laptop, I decided to upgrade to a bluetooth card 2 x 2 in my address oem. After installing the adapter on my laptop, I discovered that the bluetooth works, but the wifi part would not, nor with windows drivers 8 intel or with the microsoft drivers. Before you try with a clean install of windows 8, I hope that I would get an answer here. I have a HP envy 1115dx m4 which originally had windows 8, then upgraded to 8.1. Windows diagnostic tool using the proven problem the card wifi was disabled by the physical switch of my laptop. But it wasn't, because by pressing would show a notification saying that the status of the wifi went to on - or off, but no sign of work adapter. The card intel is listed in the Device Manager list. What should I do?
    Thank you!

The card you are trying to use should have a number of HP part on a white sticker or label of the card. But generally the cause of cards not HP problem is a start-up error message saying "Unsupported Device" and you can't spend. If the system starts with Windows and then wifi gives you concern which does not seem compatible with a 'white list' error Yet, I could see the BIOS refuses to turn a wifi card not supported to a status light, so it's worth to try a real HP card and see what happens.

Here's an Atheros card with part number that you have listed on eBay for $10:
