  First of all, I think that I am posting this in the wrong place because it does not only refer to the Mavericks, as far as I know (and the last years of different operating systems). But I've been staring at the screen for 5 minutes trying to find a Mail software on this page https://discussions.apple.com/welcome - but it can't see anywhere. Somehow it reminds me the absolute chaos that iTunes has become. Not being able to find things that tend to be so obvious. But I'm not here to complain about iTunes. I'll keep for another post.

  I always found the e-mail software on my Macbook to be annoying. The font is too small. I know that I can make the font bigger. But I don't want to change the 'real' size of the police; I just change "look at her a size" of the police. If someone views my email on a PC with the Microsoft Outlook software, something more larger than the font of 12 points is probably "too big" (especially for an email from professional / professional). But in Outlook, you can set the percentage of look a - like in the Word software. So, I always write e-mail in Word, so I don't owe my eyes to read the text that I composed an email from the strain. I then paste in Mail before sending.

• HP ProBook 6570b: sim

  I inserted a telstra sim card in the laptop (HP ProBook 6570b) and nothing happens. I went through the Manager connection HP and had no luck. I called Telstra who explained that there should be an option so that it does not connect to the internet via the high WWAN mobile broadband or modem connection and there is no other choice.

  After 2 hours on the phone with telstra and sharing the connection for about 30 minutes, the conclusion was that this laptop is not implemented for this sim connection and mentioned that there is a modem... I didn't belive it. the laptop has a place to insert the sim card so surly he is set up for this and it must have a modem? Help, please.

  I have the 6570b s. I run Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit.

  When I play using the headphone jack audio, the audio sound horribly distorted. It is not my headphones as my headset works fine on other devices.

  My colleague, who also has a probook 6570b has exactly the same problem.

  I tried updates driver on the internet, but my audio driver is the latest driver.

  I also ran updates with HP support assistant, and I'm updating.

  According to the HP support assistant my audio and sound devices are:

• ProBook 6570b: bad software driver

  Recently, I installed Win7 64 bit on my laptop. Then I went through the tedious task of searching and install all the drivers I needed.  This led me to a few questions:

  1. the unit will operate with the incorrect device driver?

  2 devices have the ability to use different drivers?

  The reason why I ask is that my old OS was Win 32 bit. And I noticed the drivers appear to be different.  Even on this site when I looked for this specific computer just device drivers did not match to what I had before.

  A bit about Explanaiton would be great. Everything works fine, I'm just curious to know why the pilots were different but functional?

  Is everything working now? The material is fixed it is to say the material is the material. Devices have specific ID plug-and-play. There are versions of the older and newer drivers but a device ID has a specific driver or .inf file and a single. I'm glad you got it all working if that's true. Don't resist it.

  Error: DotNetInstaller has encountered an error and needs to close.

  After the installation of windows xp (I've restored Win 7), I have installed the drivers/software from the supplied DVD.

  When I try to open certain files, it does not work and I get a similar as error: error: DotNetInstaller has encountered an error and needs to close.

  I have updated BIOS ut still produce it.

  Re-installation of operating system was going to be my next step, but you have confirmed it.

  According to redo the partitions correctly with Paragon Partition Manager 10.0 free version and re - install XP with the supplied DVD and reinstall drivers provisions DVD provided the issue has been resolved.

  What I think happened was when I have crashed the Win 7 partition using the XP install process it did not correctly configured it.

  There is a small free space before the partition on which I have installed and the partiton fail to mark themselves as Active. The MBR boot record must getting screwed up. He also scored this partition as number 5 for example: Partition 5 (do not know if it was the cause of many) but after I erase all partitions and repair installation of MBR disks worked.

  Advice to others when go back to Win XP:

  When you roll back to XP using a 3rd party Partition Manager (preferably last one coz old onse do not work)

  Erase the entire hard drive including the HP_RECOVERY and HP_TOOLS partitions and create the partitions you need.

  I used the free version of Paragon Partition Manager 10.0.
