HP ProLiant ML10 E3 - 1220v2 1 P 4 GB - U B110i SATA 1 TB 300W input PS Svr/Promo NHP

We recently purchased the server above for our office of a Kolkata - Lalani Infotech - HP authorized reseller

Our total surprise, the drivers and software are not come in a CD, as it has been mentioned for the same download HP Web sites...

And we were able to find the appropriate drivers on the HP website for the configuration and installation of the HP ProLiant server models, as the sites say that this product is not sold in India. So how did the dealers selling this product in India?

Surprisingly, the HP site is not yet able to find this product online... and even the dealer do not respond to emails.

You can use the Windows Server 2008 R2 drivers on the support page and we hope they work on W7.

I think the Base system device has the HP ProLiant 3/4 ILO Management Controller Driver Package for Windows Server 2008/2012 X 64 or the pilot Channel Interface Driver for Windows X 64 HP ProLiant iLO 3/4.

    I'm sure it's one of these 2.

  • Expansion / Upgrade ProLiant DL380 G5 and ProLiant DL360 G5

Hi all, we have two servers, Proliant DL380 G5 with SmartArray 400 and Proliant DL360 G5 with SmartArray 200icontroller controller, expand us on the disks, memory and cards network, the problem is that after we see the documentation which is sometimes wrong and don't know not the limitations of each of the parties, the issues are:

    Proliant DL380 G5 SmartArray 400:
    - STORAGE: up to 8 SAS / SATA, not clear what size that can be used with this controller, we understand that up to 500 GB SATA 7200 RPM and maximum 2 TB SAS 7200 RPM, we currently use with 146 GB drives to 10,000 rpm, whose original documentation is the maximum allowed value.
-MEMORY: Up to 64 GB modules of maximum memory up to 8 GB.
    - NETWORK: update with PCI Express, support cards that I can find are HP NC110T PCI Express and PCI-Express HP NC373 HP NC360T PCI-Express.

    Proliant DL360 G5 SmartArray 200i:

    - STORAGE: up to 4 SAS / SATA controller supports only 200i SmartArray four drives in RAID 0, 1, 1 + 0 if we wanted to expand to six bays that are available on the disk server, it would change the controller and memory. Yet, the size of disk maximum supported based on the documentation is 72 GB SAS and SATA drive 60 GB, but looking it seems as if you agree at least 300 Gb SAS disks at 10 000 rpm and up to 500 GB 7200 RPM.
    - MEMORY: up to 64 GB maximum memory modules up to 8 GB.
    - NETWORK: update with PCI Express, support cards that I can find are HP NC110T PCI Express and PCI-Express HP NC373 HP NC360T PCI-Express.

This is what I have gathered and what interests me in the expansion and to say that the documentation I found to give the feeling of this conflict, is perhaps by the dates of their procedures, but before you make a payment would guarantee the purchase. Also getting information guides, manuals and forums, I have also consulted compatibiliy HP Proliant Server Guide, so I have consutlado with HP before purchasing, but have yet to receive an answer.

A greeting and thank you very much

  • Installation of Windows Home Server 2010 on Proliant N40L

Does anyone know if Windows Home Server 2010 will install on a Proliant N40L without having to install additional device (for configuring SATA RAID) drivers.

I can't install again, that my DVD drive is IDE not SATA, I'm waiting for a new. Once this drive shows up, I'll be able to find out for me.

Well, the answer was that the installation went very well. I didn't do anything to Windows Server 2011 to recognize the RAID adapter.

  • Smart Array controller, required for VMware vSphere Hypervisor

I currently use VMware Server on Windows 7 for my test enviromnent.  I would like to set up a server using the VMware vSphere Hypervisor.  The server is an HP Proliant ML110 G7.  The server has 4 GB of memory, single core processor quad intel (E3-1240), Intel 82574 Gigabit NIC , and an integrated HP Smart Array B110i SATA RAID Controller.  This Smart Array B110i controller will work with the latest version of the hypervisor?  Version 4.1 documentation controller HP Smart Array under ESXi hardware required but then lists it list a Smart Array P400/256 controller under installation on supported and start of storage systems.

As far as I can see the server itself, the Integrated NIC (NC112i) or the RAID controller are supported with ESXi (not even on older versions). I really recommend you take a look at the VMware HCL (http://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/search.php) or matrix of Support from HP (http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/vmware/supportmatrix/hpvmware.html)

Regarding RAID controllers. Make sure that the controller is equipped with at least 512 MB BBWC/FBWC for a good disk performance. Addition of write cache, makes a HUGE difference.

    Hello

I try to get Win 7 pro to win 10 on my Proliant Gen8 microserver

The error message I get when trying to do, it's that the onboard video of Matrox does not support win 10?

Is it just a case of editing a video card to go beyond the issue low profile PCIE or is there to do?

    Any help would be appreciated

Install a compatible W10 card and set it as the default video device in bios, W10 should install now.

  • ProLiant DL320e with Windows Server 2012 Bluescreen

    Hello

I installed Windows Server R2 with smart supply a Proliant DL320e Server 2012 R2 and it bluescreens much. The blue screen message is a pretty no description "KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE".

I installed a second Proliant DL320e server and it shows the same behavior, so I conclude that this isn't a defective hardware.

I found some knowledge which mentions screens blue and with the driver for Smart Array
    http://h20628.www2.HP.com/km-ext/content-webapp/document?docid=emr_na-c03793656 & DTD = default & local = d...
But the update and version numbers do not match.

Drivers, software and firmware for the HP DL320e Gen8 ProLinat Server Page did not all downloads for my OS-, but it displays a warning that it is experiencing problems.

I tried to fill in the HP Support Assistant, but I got an email in response, telling me that they are currently unable to help with e-Mail support.

The servers are offline on a clients site in a restricted environment so that they lack updates online.

During this time, I downloaded the SPP Service Pack for Windows Server
FTP://FTP.HP.com/pub/softlib2/software1/CD-generic/p652182553/v84427/SPPMDSLWIN2013090.2013_0830.7.i... and today, I'll try if it corrects the blue screens.

    Does anyone have pointers?

    Take care

    Martin

Thank you, I have not found this forum. If an admin could move it which would be best.

Just in case anyone else has this problem is this question:

I contacted HP by telephone support and the solution is:

Do not use smart supply when you configure your server, it is not supported and it will be randomly bluescreen with Windows Server R2 2012. You must install windows directly, so take your storage driver and copy it to a usb key and load the driver during the installation of windows. In my case I needed to use the mass storage drivers for Windows Server 2008 R2 from http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/swdDetails/?sp4ts.oid=5293151 & spf_p.tpst = swdMain & spf_p.prp_swdMain=wsrp-navigationalState%3Didx%253D%257CswItem%253DMTX_9b5424c852a54e49b501e280e5%257CswEnvOID%253D4064%257CitemLocale%253D%257CswLang%253D%257Cmode%253D%257Caction%253DdriverDocument & javax.portlet.begCacheTok = com.vignette.cachetoken & javax.portlet.endCacheTok = com.vignette.cachetoken

  • HP ProLiant ML310e Gen8 v2: impossible to activate the new graphics card

I need to install a new graphics card on a HP ProLiant ML310 Gen3 of v2 server as edge one is a failure.

Card - EVGA GeForce 8400 GS

During the installation startup BIOS hangs after the initial check (100% / no errors) and remains at a black screen indefinitely instead of forward to the ProLiant logo boot before windows.

Therefore, I am unable to enter the bios to enable the PCI 16 slot.

Before the system LED flashes red at this point.

  • HP ProLiant G6 Server SE316M1: Overclocking CPU on HP ProLiant G6 Server SE316M1

    Hello

I have in mind to buy a HP ProLiant G6 Server SE316M1. The prices are really cheap on some merchants.

I saw on a cue that it was possible to overlock Xeon E5645 2.40 Ghz.

Of course I need stability, but I hope to accelerate both CPU up to 2.80 Ghz.

I don't think it's possible, but I prefer to ask the community.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello:

Here is the manual in the BIOS Setup for the prospective server that you want to buy.

    http://h20628.www2.HP.com/km-ext/kmcsdirect/emr_na-c00191707-19.PDF

I typed the word "overclock" in the search window, and nothing came.

Here is the main support for the server page...

    http://h20565.www2.HPE.com/portal/site/hpsc/public/PSI/home/?sp4ts.Oid=3884343

While I have not read the manual in its entirety, nor I know much about HP servers, I usually have a good amount of knowledge about laptops and HP business desktops and I can tell you that none of them offer overclocking processor, graphics and memory options.

I have to assume that since HP must provide assistance guaranteed at least one year on most of these products (mine all had them 3 years warranty), it would not be in their interest to provide for overclocking options in their PC, because we, end-users could fry components due to overclocking and then to file claims under the warranty.

  • ProLiant ML310e

I just bought a HP Proliant ML310e Gen v2.  I tried to install two SAS drives, but the computer does not recognize the readers at all.   I just tried disk SATA set up and it 'clear'.  However the two SAS drives are still not recognized.   Leafing troubleshhoting Guide, I found a reference to the HP controller dynamic Smart Array B120i RAID, which is integrated to this server, which indicates that you should deacheter an inorder of additional license for Smart Array RAID B120i controller work with SAS disks...?   What's a sense?  Does anyone know where to buy, and how you load this "license"?    I didn't need the SAS as a RAID drives, but I need there speed R/W, so I'm very frustrated that this box can not see... I intend to use REDHAT as the operating system.   Thank you

I have already provided the only suggestion I can offer you.

I doubt anyone on the consumer support forum can answer your question.  I certainly can't.
