HP psc 1350xi connection

I have a HP psc 1350xi legacy and trying to connect it to a new desktop running Windows XP (32-bit) to connect it to a USB port. Unfortunately, I don't have the original 1350 CD startup for Windows disk.

Before the breakup of the hard disk (drive C) in my previous desktop my HP psc 1350xi worked fine with Windows XP and a USB connection.

Downloaded a new driver from HP. First tried the full function (343 MB) version gc_w01_ENU_NB and what that would not work tried the reduced pilot drv_gc_wo1_ENU_NB (36.8 MB). Tried to activate them (one at a time) and got the indication that they went through the extraction of 100%, but nothing after that.

Restarted the computer. Then plugged in and turned on the psc 1350xi.  (Also switched the USB cable and I tried many times).  The "new hardware found" appears. He asks a CD with the software for this printer. Made a CD with gc_w01_ENU_NB about it. Did not work. Tried the same thing with the reduced pilot. Did not work. Then tried to use install from a list or specific functionality of the wizard locatio. Used the list of properties for the file, the software is on the C drive. Did not work. The indication I get is "the specified location does not contain device information files. Please enter another location or uncheck the "include the location in the search box." "The psc 1350xi is a plug-and-play device, I wonder why the"New hardware"Wizard should appear, other that the software drivers cannot be located at all.

During this time the psc 1350 does not appear in the control panel for printers.  What appears is "send to OneNote 2007"(avec le chèque en indiquant que c'est l'imprimante par défaut) and "Microsoft XPS Document Writer." "."

Clues or tips?

Hello

First of all, sorry to fill your PC full of software unsable and break your search functions.

Are you able to do a right click on the file you download and choose extract of 7zip?

If so, check out the files in a directory, and then student material on this directory Setup Wizard when you plug the USB cable.

  • PSC 2510 connection to WPA network protected from evil

Hi, I have a PSC 2510 that I'm trying to connect to my router wirelessly for printing. I have consulted with the built-in web server in my after connect directly on the printer (I made through the network of wifi hp_setup and directly via ethernet cable) and go to advanced mode, grabbed my network name and password WPA 10-digit after selecting EAP/WPA. I then save the configuration, but when I print the network configuration page, it says wireless status: "Sweep" with the correct SSID name but apparently he thinks it can't find the network (router is a few feet more far away). It has always worked until I bought a new router, and the router works fine connected to any device not to mention that this PSC 2510.

Please let me know some troubleshooting solutions - thank you!

The PSC 2510 is one of our older printers wireless which only supports WPA-PSK/TKIP w.  Make sure that your Netgear router is configured fo allow for WPA - PSK TKIP.

Refereing Guide employment here, go to page 25 (section 1-11) PDF format and select WPA-PSK (TKIP) or WPA - PSK (TKIP) and WPA2-PSK (AES).

  • PSC C4780 - connects to the wireless router, then disconnects, repeat...

So I have a C4780 who knows a problem similar to what other people know about with different models.

It seems that the printer cannot be connected to the router for more than 30 seconds.  I look at the screen of the printer and the intensity of the signal will be full one minute and gone the next minute.  Although full shell, I am able to connect to the Web site of the printer from my computer and print from my computer.  Whenever the signal goes, is my ability to communicate with him.  I use a Linksys WRK54G wireless router.   Also connected to it are my HP Pavilion dv7-1132nr laptop and my laptop Dell Inspiron 1545.  None of them lose connectivity to the router or the internet during this time.

When I installed the printer, he gave me three errors.  He told me to unblock the following ports from my PC to my printer:

    UDP 427 @ 192.168.1.102

    TCP 9220 @ 169.254.21.72

    UDP 161 @ 169.254.21.72

I tried in my firewall opening completely disabling the firewall.  No approach has worked.  I do believe however, that the problem is between my PC and the printer, but rather the router and the printer.  The printer doesn't keep in touch with the router or the router is not that the printer is connected to it.

It's late and I have worked on throughout the day, including an hour and forty minutes on the phone with technical support.  If anyone can think of any I've left out (I know there are a lot), I will be happy to provide it.

    Thank you

    Kevin

I've seen similar problems.  I have not found this problem completely, yet do not give you the "shotgun" perscription, but it is better than losing the use of the printer.

The 169.254.x.y address is problematic for the driver software.  The following three things helped a lot other people.

    (1) give the printer a address static IP - one that sits on the right subnet (192.168.1.x)

    * You must enter your router AND the printer's IP address, if the router gives to someone else, and so the printer knows what it is.

    * I do not have the printer in front of me, model if you cannot figure it out, let me know and I'll find the instructions.  If you can not understand how to configure your router, I'll try to find a reference in the manual.

    (2) make sure that your computers have only a connection to your router.  If you're wired AND wireless to your router, it can be confusing network of driver code.

    3) go to your firewall and unlock things like Setup has loaded, but replace all references 169.254.x.y 192.168.1.102 (assuming that you give the printer the number 102 to step #1 above)

That said, you may be right in your assertion that the problem is between the printer and the router.  Your description of the signal strength indicator is strange.  To what extent is your printer from the router?  How is that distance compares to other devices on your network?  There the walls or shelves between the router and the printer?

  • PSC 1350xi and cleaning head alignment

I recently installed Windows 7 and need to install new ink cartridges.  My printer software is not the Toolbox to align the print heads or cleaning.  Can help you.

    Hi swilkins44,

I checked this further and with the age of the printer it's probably why you do not have the ability to run the alignments.

I have included a document but to manually clean the cartridge nozzle plate.

Cleaning the area around the cartridge nozzle plate.

I can't access HP Toolbox after you install a driver in OS Windows 7.

  • PSC 1804 stops when the second PC connected to the second ethernet card

    Hello

Having a problem with two PCs and a PSC 1804.

I currently have a PSC 1804 connected to a PC running a VI, childless.

I updated the VI with a series of shared variables that I need to read and answer from another PC about 20 feet away.

I wanted to connect the two PCs via a crossover ethernet cable, but when it is connected, the CFP crashes (as seen in MAX and the crash of VI).

Both PCs and PCP are on separate static IP, but most likely the same subnet. This will cause the crash? How can I correct this problem and continue to use shared variables?

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    LV 2013 Pro

    Hi, ASAT,.

You should be able to use a router or a switch to a situation like this.  What system hosts shared variables?  This system will be accessible to all systems on the network of communication success.  How do you connect all currently?  I recommend the use of a switch to connect all on the same network, then all systems need access to shared variables.  The host computer should not have a problem with several networks, but in this case, he has trouble with communication, by disabling the system-wide network is recommended.  Let us know how things are running.

  • PSC 2510 wireless connection problem

I have a HP more old all-in-one PSC 2510, which worked very well with my Mac, both running OS x 10.6.8 via a wireless network. I recently added WPA2 security after my wife's e-mail has been hacked, and since then, this printer is not connecting wireless. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the HP software and run through the procedues of installation, but as soon as I disconnect the wires, the wireless light turns off. Since then, I have disabled WPA2, same problem. I use an Apple Time Machine/airport as a router. I had to do a reset top factory, the airport became invisible for a reason as any. The internet signal comes through a 2wire AT & T, then connects to the Airport via ethernet. The PSC cannot connect to a wireless network.  I have also a 6500 +, which connects and prints normally with security on or off.

    Any ideas?

I don't know how, but after I UN & reinstalled software, wireless is now back to the top and work.

  • Cannot print/connection of Windows 7 for shared PSC 1315 on the XP Machine

I have a HP PSC 1315, connected to a computer running Windows XP (32 bit).  This printer is shared.  I can access it from other XP machines on my home network.  I can't access it from my computer Windows 7 (64-bit).  I can see the printer is shared on the computer, but when I double click on it, I get the following error:

"Windows can't find a driver for hp PSC 1310 series on the network."  To locate one manually, click on OK.  Otherwise, click Cancel and consult your network administrator or the printer manufacturer's Web site. »

Then I tried to download the driver Windows 7 (64 bit) of HP and installed on my Windows 7 machine:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=Al-75052-1&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=CA&...

At the end of the installation, it asks to connect the printer to the computer via USB.  Because I'm not physically the printer connected to the Windows 7 computer, I check the box that says I can't login now and go forward at the end.

Then I tried to connect to the printer and I get the same error.  I try to locate a driver manually.  I point to c:\windows\inf\ without success (I am * if * the driver info might settle there, but I don't know what the name of .inf).  Windows says that it cannot find an appropriate driver.  Maybe I should be looking elsewhere?

I found some troubleshooters on the HP website, but it does not give "shared printer on a network" as one of the schemes to solve connection problems.

I'm a little confused on this one.  Hoping that there will be something simple, I missed.

    Thank you!

Here's a good explanation of how to share a printer from an XP PC to Windows 7 PC on a network home.  It should work since Windows 7 (64-bit) PC can see the partition Windows XP 32-bit.  What you missed was the type of port to use for the network connection.

  • PSC 2350 doesn't scan

I have a Dell with Windows 8.1 (64-bit).  When I press on the "Scan to" or the "Start SCAN" buttons, I get the message "you need to install or run HP software for this feature.  What software?  Where is he?

On the HP Support site, I downloaded the 'HP printer install wizard for Windows' [8.1].  I ran the wizard.  Part of the process allows the scanner test.  The test was successful - he said that the software worked.  However, when I go to the PSC 2350 and try to scan, the mentioned error message previously always comes to the top.  So, what's the problem?

Through some trial and error I discovered a solution - I can't always use scan on the psc 2350 buttons, but there is a solution:

Procedure for scanning using an HP psc 2350 connected to a Dell Inspiron 660 with Windows 8.1

    1. Go to "Desktop" (in the window that contains 'Favorites', 'Homegroup', 'This PC' and 'Network')

    2. Double click on "Control Panel."

    3. Go to 'Hardware and Sound' and click 'view devices and printers. "

    4. Go to "Printers" and double click on "HP psc 2350 series.

    5. Double click on 'search for a document or an image.

    6. A window opens that allows you to specify the characteristics of scanning; After you choose the settings that you want, you can "Preview" of the object to scan or to do the 'Scan '.

    7. When the analysis is complete, a dialog window ("import pictures and videos") appears allowing you to specify the way in which the scanned object must be imported into a file in your computer.

    8. Select the option you want (or click the "More options" link to get a clearer idea of what options are / average) and click on "next".

    9. The scanned item appears in a window of 'imported photos and videos; "you can click on the displayed element and ' move to ' or copy to ' a file/folder desired.

  • impressions of psc 720 HP double/Ghost with multiple pages per sheet

    Hi all

    I have the following configuration:

HP psc 720 (connected via USB)

    Windows Vista SP2

    with the following parameters:

-two (or more) pages per sheet (via the standard Vista Properties dialog box)

-Black and white (I never bothered to buy a new color cartridge when one missed;) (P)

    I have the following problem:

Everything is doubled, with the same intensity of 'black', about 1 mm, horizontally (see photo)

As I print 2 pages per sheet, this horizontal dubbing appears as double vertical text in the image

When printing in "Best" mode or 1 page per sheet mode, printing is wonderfully clear.

    I already have:

    Tried oiling the flybar

Run a cartridge by aligning the routine (or what we call the thing where it printed a series of black bars, broken and unbroken)

Community, powerful. My questions are the following:

Is this repeatable on someone elses setup? Anyone seen this before? I could try to fix?

    Thank you very much

    Rob

    Yay!

For cleaning of the band, you can try damp distilled water on a rag.  Remember to hold the band in one hand and wipe gently with each other away from the hand holding the tape.

"How to clean the MICR band" on google seems to give a fairly good description.  It is not officially sanctioned, of course.

In addition, if you would be so kind, please check the item "resolved."  I don't actually get anything for it except warm fuzzies, and the solved button is especially warming and fuzzifying.

  • PSC-2 2220 connected to the same Bus RS232, using turns

I want to do using two PSC-2220 experience which, in turn, use the same RS232 cable (I intend to fill the cable). I manage the turns with shared variables. Is this possible? I mean, is that of the interface RS232 can be shared if a CFP2220 does not use it?

Hi ggarza.  RS - 232 is not designed for more than two devices to communicate.  It might be possible with enough

diodes and prudent to programming, but I expect it would be a challenge.

A better approach would be to use RS - 485, which is designed to support more than two devices.

    Information of RS - 485.

Ago RS485 to RS232 converters available which will allow you to connect your device; controllers of-2220

    already have a RS-485 port.

  • How to get HP PSC 2355 wireless connection work.

Wireless HP PSC 2355 does not connect.  It worked initially when it is installed a few months ago.  Have not used the printer for a few months. Now the wireless connection is not displayed.

How can I get the wireless to start working again? I use another network, then I used initially.

    First, reset the printer:

You can restore the original settings to what they were when you bought your HP all-in-one device. Note to restore the default settings affect all changes made to analyze the settings and the country/region and language settings. You can perform this process from the control panel only.

    1. press Setup.

    2. press 3, then press again 3.

This displays the Tools menu and then select Restore Factory Defaults. The default settings are restored.

Then download the latest version of the software for your printer from the "Support & drivers" link at the top of this page.  Run the software and choose 'Wireless' or 'network' when asked what type of installation you want.  Make sure that the USB cable is NOT connected when you start the software.

  • How can I download additional 32-bit win7 driver for a connected to a 64-bit win7 shared PSC 2210?

I have a psc2210 connected to a 64-bit win7 Home premium system. It is shared and I need to connect a win7 32-bit system. When I try to connect from the 32-bit system, he sees the printer, but it fails on the driver installation. When I try to download the additional driver on the 64 bit system, she prays for a location. I have no idea tell where to look. Nothing to download from the HP site because they say that all the drivers are supplied with win7. I tried the Networking Wizard, but he fails to see the printer on the network side 32-bit.

Try the following: on the 32-bit Windows 7 computer go to start devices and printers, add printer, a local printer, create a Port, Local Port, \\Computername\Printername (use the name of the actual share of the computer and the printer), OK, and then click Windows Update, wait a few minutes for the update to complete, and then select HP (Hewlett-Packard not) then the series PSC 2200.

  • Connecting the device to 6.0 PSC using the FRIEND?

    Hey there,

I can't seem to find a definitive answer in the support section, so I throw this out there...

I need to patch our device PSC 6.0 (and vCenter device accordingly) of the U1 6.0.0 to 6.0.0 U2 and I was wondering if I can install this upgrade using the Interface of Management Appliance (FRIEND)?

I can connect to the PSC using the FRIEND and I see the update is available, but it say anywhere that I can use it to run the upgrade - only through the Shell of what I read.

Note: when it comes to upgrading vCenter 6.0 device, the documentation says you can use the FRIEND for this.

    Yes, I read that too.

Just to confirm - I indeed used the FRIEND to update my PSC first, then the VCSA, of 6.0 U1 to 6.0 U2.

Access the FRIEND via the URL:

    https://[PSC IP]: 5480

    https://[VCSA IP]: 5480

With the help of "root" as user name and corresponding password.

    Everything is good!
